Michael C my choir has so few males in it that we have to be loud enough to be heard but not so loud were outright screaming and this song was definitely one of our most difficult considering there were 40+ females and 6 males
i can't help but imagine someone alone on a stage (or thinking they're alone) and a spotlight was left on after closing and they just start singing because they love it and they get so lost in the music they don't even realize people have sat down; they get so into it that they're just dancing around the stage belting out every note and that last quiet "for me" is when they finally see the small crowd of strangers and friends and get self-conscious again

Yeah, it's super. The key remains the same, but he goes up to the octave where he should have sung the whole song. Really, really strong from there to the end.

For those of you who don't take voice lessons and aren't familiar with vocal technique (I'd be willing to bet that Caleb Hyles knows this), 95% guys have to mix up there. I'm 15 so I can hardly mix, and even when I do it sounds like I'm mixing. Most classically trained tenors/baritones are able to make it sound like a belt though. Usually, if someone has a trained ear for vocal technique they can hear a mix that is disguised as a belt. That being said, if you are mixing, you do a damn good job of disguising that mix. If I have anything to criticize about your vocal technique it would be that it makes all baritones look bad. You are incredibly talented and I'm so glad you upload. Your voice is flawless. And even when your voice got a little raspy at the higher parts, the raspiness had an incredibly pleasing quality to it. This is, hands down, the best cover of Never Enough, maybe even better than the original.
No one can really belt up there; even the highest tenors start mixing at a Bb/B. The trick is SERIOUS laryngeal tilt in the throat; blend the head voice so seamlessly that it *sounds* like chest voice. Caleb (and a lot of classically trained singers-turned-rockstars) do this unbelievably well. Keep singing dude!
I keep watching and watching your covers, doesn't matter if they are new or old, i still watch them from time to time, and i just realised that what make you different from others, what distinguish you, what make your covers the best, is all the pasion you put into them, how you feel every song and how you transmit it while singing...

Trying to be non-biased from the character, I didn't really care for this song when I first heard it.
But listening to your cover has changed my mind completely ✨

The song itself is absolutely breathtaking. Still, I find it hard to enjoy because I just think about the character who sung it. I have to say though, this cover makes that raw emotion from the song much less... bittersweet, per se.

Yeah, it's super. The key remains the same, but he goes up to the octave where he should have sung the whole song. Really, really strong from there to the end.

For those of you who don't take voice lessons and aren't familiar with vocal technique (I'd be willing to bet that Caleb Hyles knows this), 95% guys have to mix up there. I'm 15 so I can hardly mix, and even when I do it sounds like I'm mixing. Most classically trained tenors/baritones are able to make it sound like a belt though. Usually, if someone has a trained ear for vocal technique they can hear a mix that is disguised as a belt. That being said, if you are mixing, you do a damn good job of disguising that mix. If I have anything to criticize about your vocal technique it would be that it makes all baritones look bad. You are incredibly talented and I'm so glad you upload. Your voice is flawless. And even when your voice got a little raspy at the higher parts, the raspiness had an incredibly pleasing quality to it. This is, hands down, the best cover of Never Enough, maybe even better than the original.
No one can really belt up there; even the highest tenors start mixing at a Bb/B. The trick is SERIOUS laryngeal tilt in the throat; blend the head voice so seamlessly that it *sounds* like chest voice. Caleb (and a lot of classically trained singers-turned-rockstars) do this unbelievably well. Keep singing dude!
I keep watching and watching your covers, doesn't matter if they are new or old, i still watch them from time to time, and i just realised that what make you different from others, what distinguish you, what make your covers the best, is all the pasion you put into them, how you feel every song and how you transmit it while singing...
