I showed this to my parents and when he changed key, my father said "that's not the same singer, right"?
He didnt't change key.... He went up an octave in the same key. Even if he did change the 'key' it would be a modulation not a key change. A key change refers to a different part of the song being in a different key rather than the same part of a song being in a different key of chord 2, 3, 5 or 6 in the previous key. :)

I remember being slightly disappointed when the classical singer didn't sing a classical song in the movie, so you bringing a bit of that to the first half made me happy. And then you went and reminded me how versatile you are and broke my heart in the best way. This is beautiful, thank you.
I looked down for a second and when I saw this notification, I never pressed the screen so fast in my life. Not only is this one of my favorite new musicals, but you did a terrific job, Caleb! It’s just as powerful and moving. Especially when you hold out the notes and hit those notes. Thank you for doing this! You made my day :)

Listening to Caleb sing really gives me motivation to try my best learning to sing, even if I might never live up to half his ability
i can't help but imagine someone alone on a stage (or thinking they're alone) and a spotlight was left on after closing and they just start singing because they love it and they get so lost in the music they don't even realize people have sat down; they get so into it that they're just dancing around the stage belting out every note and that last quiet "for me" is when they finally see the small crowd of strangers and friends and get self-conscious again

When he started singing, I thought, “I could imagine him doing cartoon voices.” I don’t know who he is, but he has that malleable timbre of voice actors.
Trying to be non-biased from the character, I didn't really care for this song when I first heard it.
But listening to your cover has changed my mind completely ✨

The song itself is absolutely breathtaking. Still, I find it hard to enjoy because I just think about the character who sung it. I have to say though, this cover makes that raw emotion from the song much less... bittersweet, per se.
