Jonathan, you and the Icon crew just keep outdoing yourselves. The geekdom is not lost on me. The back stories on the eagle feather graphics, to the spectacular leather work equally add to the story. Congrats to the owner adding this to his fleet.
This was an entirely captivating build. I love everything you did with it. I'm so glad you took the time to walk us through all the details. So enjoyable to watch.
The talent and craftsmanship displayed here is unmatched. And I understand who you market these vehicles to. This demonstrates that you're a good businessman too. I just wish that some version of these vehicles could be had for less than twice the cost of what the average American pays for a house.
My dad bot a used 1974 Jeep Cherokee Chief for $1,250 and that was all the money we had. As a young kid I thought that truck would go anywhere and do anything. It had an amc 360 and a 3 speed manual. Awesome ride.
After visiting Icon 4x4's site I am now drooling over the 1951 Suburban and the potential for it. I can only imagine what the mad scientists down there in SOCAL will come up with for that beauty. Oh, this Cherokee is fucking peak automotive achievement, out the park yet again and thank you for sharing.
Incredibly inspiring. Working on my daily driver wagoneer disinterests me at times but the details you place in your vehicles reinvigorates the “first day dreams” and motivation.
Wonderful job. You should do one where you leave the leaf springs! They springs look great and work amazingly well. Also try using a AMC V8 that you build on the next one. I guess I should order that one...lol.
Sort of at a loss for words. I've watched pretty much all your videos and I think this is one of your best yet. Sort of next level attention to detail and stunning. Lucky client and lucky you to have had the chance to create such a work of art. I wouldn't want to rush it but I would love to see that interior in a few years just slightly aged, if that makes sense. Love this truck. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and thank the team or putting it together. Loved it and the burn out at the end was awesome. :)
Fantastic design detail, fantastic quality and brilliant guide to all that. Thank you Jonathan and all your team. Very best wishes from Ellan Vannin/the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea.
It would be incredible to be a member or subcontractor of a team like Icon and help create masterpieces like this Cherokee. The level of craftsmanship is incredible, with no detail being overlooked. This is true art in priceless form. As a craftsmanship myself who is passionate about all details in every project I create, I appreciate the levels of detail and research that it takes to complete a build of this nature. Well done.
A beautiful creation. Congratulations on a brilliant piece of mechanical and electronic engineering. I feel like I am witnessing a variety of creator skill sets at an amazingly high level. May God Bless you and your families Icon and Mr. Warner.
The most badass thing ICON has done yet. Xlnt presentation, Jonathan. A work of art for sure, especially the feather motif along the beltlines. Great treatment of the round vents and the grille, a clean look. If it were my build, I might have opted for the Sprinter CRD V6 with the Mercedes-Benz trans, Oil pressure and alternator gauges, and I would have included the front seat head restraints, but that's me. Leather work is extraordinary. Rubber floor mats? No radio?
Jonathan, a crazy idea for ya, think about getting a custom sole made for your hiking boots with the ICON gecko stamped into it. Next to Big Foot it will be the coolest track on the trail. Beautiful job on the Cherokee!
Just amazingly stunning -giving it the kaiser front is killer- all the wonderful high-end quality-over-quantity details, wow. Just wow. BUT...Showing us ..a...a Bic disposable lighter, as a showcase for your silversmith's craftsmanship is deadly. Dude! er, Sir! Your bracelet is gorgeous! Why the heck show a lighter, a throw-away item, for Pete's sake....Btw. The truck is veeeery effin' nice.
Years ago (mid 80's) they had one of these on display at Harrah's Auto Museum in Reno. It had a Ferrari flat 12 installed. Tbe presentation plaque stated "for desert highway cruising" or some such...
Jonathan, that front sheet metal stamping didn’t change through the entire run of the FSJ. If you pull the grill off a ‘91 (last year) it has four headlight holes.
Great video! This is literally a Master’s class in automotive design!!! Regardless if you can afford it or actually achieve it, EVERYONE can be inspired by it and that really helps motivate me to always raise the bar on my builds. In particular the stories and research really brings this to life. Thank you for pushing the envelope with every build, we all appreciate it!
Hello Mr. Ward...as always your build video recaps always impress and move me. Your cerebral thoughtful approach to classic vehicle reinvention, reimagination and re-engineering are second to none. Your name "Ward" stands atop my Mount Olympus of famous car designers Like Henry Ford, Ferdinand Porsche and Bugatti. Have you ever considered of becoming a serious national competitor to the big automakers in today's market? You could still have your Icon brand but start a new company called "Ward" and offer scaled down cost effective budget friendlier versions of lets say your Bronco and Fj40 lines. Lower your production costs by minimizing electronics via manual window cranks and door locks. Keep the interior materials vinyl versus leather. If someone wanted to fully customize their interior offer on the side an upgrade kit that the owner can install themselves. Now do put the focus on keeping the dash and exterior old school stock looking. Make them with solid long-lasting chassis components with modern suspension, brakes and automatic transmissions with EFI. My biggest disappointment with the new broncos are that they don't look like the first generation old school broncos. What say you?
Love the details. I’ve been following you guys ever since The Bomonster worked on your ICON lizard logo. Did you know he’s selling his 63(?) Lincoln Continental? That would be a killer build… cool history connection as well with the logo- great opportunity to tell the story of it in a big way… just sayin. ;)
Jonathon I've followed for a long time. My one wish is someday you make a seatbelt system that fits visually whatever you are building. All of the seatbelts assemblies look like they came from a Dodge Neon. Plastic receiver with an orange button. Shoulder belt with the same little gray or black triangle mount. I'm not criticizing at all but with your genius of design I think something era correct or retro in visuals would be really cool. Keep on rockin' in the free world!
@@mikesonneson2824 we have tried but when they are metal, they want to rattle. Also, gets quite litigious if we do any modifications to a DOT certified seatbelt assembly. Thx
The armrests on the door panels look out of place to me, like they came off a newer vehicle while everything else is period correct. Other than that, I love it. Really excellent work.
I love the vehicle (it's beautiful) but would prefer it to set lower. Sorry. I know you need room for the suspension components. Keep up the wonderful work. F.C.C in Arizona 😊
Wow! It looks fantastic. I love the fact the owner kept the crank windows and went with the low back seat without the headrest. 👍
OMG!!!! THE PERFECT JEEP, INDEED!! I love it. Thanks for sharing this with us.

This has to be one of the best builds ICON has done. Amazing attention to detail and you did a great job with the video. Your team is an inspiration.

Simply, outstanding ICON & Jonathan. Pleasant fun presentation
totally amazing workmanship. Thanks Jonathan
Stunning Jeep, the hand tooled leather is absolutely gorgeous 👍
I'm just left speechless. Fabulous! I only wish I could afford such a thing 🙂
That eagle feather even on video I can see how incredible, detailed precise and rich it is.
OMG that Jeep is YUMMMMMMY!..Nice job Mr Ward!!!
Gorgeous work Icon team! Must be rewarding knowing that this vehicle will be around forever.
You never disappoint
Foose might be the king of hot rods, but you sir are the king of trucks/ off road builds. Stunning work. Only upset that I can’t afford your services.

Words can't describe how much I love all of the detail you went into with this. I enjoyed every second of that video. That thing is perfect.

Mind blowing, over the top.
Brilliant build

This truck was previewed on another channel last week!
Very nice work Jonathan n crew

This is a awesome rendition. Congrats to #icon and #safeflight! This is the next step of how a Jeep model should be. Thank you!
Outstanding results and presentation as usual . Admire your passion for perfection. I hope Harrison Ford enjoys his new jeep Cherokee.
Oh. My. Gosh. The is THE coolest thing I've seen you make. WOW!

An absolute work of art. I would prefer this to something on my wall, any day. Thank you Sir.

Gorgeous. I'm hoping someday you'll do a Scout.
I’m watching this and a Jeep commercial came on… bit of a letdown compared to this magnificent work of art 😍
love the refomers!
How long did this build take from start to finish?
I miss my 72 Wagoneer, I always wanted a Cherokee converted to a convertible.
absolutely gorgeous! well done
This is incredibly awesome!!!!
Truly superb. I can say no more...
Over the top and tasteful as well, nice
Loving build this extra hard.
The Kaiser M175 did have a stealth type light in the extra light holes
Great video, I want one! Guess I’ll have to start buying lottery tickets!!
Awesomely Out of This World Cool
Bought my MegaMillions and PowerBall tix tonight!
Interior looks incredibly retro

American ingenuity and excellence on full display….

Why not start with a Cherokee wide track for the fender flares
the MOPAR trans you mentioned, was that a ZF 8HP? those are supposed to be great

That's definitely not the Cherokee my grandfather hauled us up to the ski slopes in. 😂
That steering wheel was billet? Talk about chips.
I thought the first one was Peak Icon but you have topped it with this flared stance. Congratulations to the owner who I hope uses it quite a lot…
1 million dollars
Would be great to have my cars commissioned to match my property. It would be a Buick Century Estate from 1980 with decent paint.
If you have to ask... 🙄 💰💰💰💰💰
Interior alone is over $40,000
@@Jawad_Muhammadwith a single speaker costing 10k , I think you are well below interior cost
