In this video I'll go over the process I use to make all of my cutting boards. I don't have a fancy work shop as you can see in the video. All you need is access to some tools and some wood from your local lumber supplier. The hole was drilled with an inch and half hole saw and then rounded with the same router bit used on the outside edges.
I failed to mention in the video but I sand the board at 80 grit then 120, raise the grain, 220 grit, raise the grain again, and then finish it off with 320 grit. The higher you go in the grit of sand paper the smoother it'll be.
I Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching! Please Subscribe :)

Very good video but wish you had included the drilling of the hole in it. Looks like you did a great job though.

Thank you! I wish I had included the hole in video as well. It was an after thought and the result of a screw breaking off into the board while installing the feet.

Just found your channel and have been binge watching you. I think the part of your videos I like most is that you are more like the typical "I want to be a woodworker" woodworker. We don't all have the nice shop or a shop at all. We don't all have the fancy tools. You are showing others that we shouldn't have excuses for not getting out and making sawdust. Good job!

Hey Justin, I just bought my DW734 planer and your video was good. I also want to do cutting boards. How's the woodworking going?

Those look amazing! Proud of you Bro! Those are a lot nicer than the old Lowe’s rip saw we used to use to cut stuff half in two 😂
