(A lot of people say he was trying to k!ll himself but I think he was only trying to get to the hospital) he ends up immediately dying. As a ghost, he watches as he finally gets the attention he wanted. He was finally the sole focus. Although, he was upset and a bit sarcastic about how he literally had to d!e to get attention. Despite this he is at least, finally, happy.
Gretals dad was abusive and hansel was a little bit to the attention Gretal got was negative till a man killed Gretal cause he was scared of her it mentions this in Gretal song "It's me against you and dad but I'm not afraid to punch him back" and "if you look like me don't go out at night to a man on edge you could give a fright and in defence he'll pull out a knife" but nice theory

Heres my interpretation of this songs meaning... WARNING:SH So there was this boy named hansel who had a twin sister with a disorder of some kind and got all the attention, and hansel got neglected. And since his sister had a disorder all of the people around him would go talk(but actually bully) her. But hansel didn't know this so she thought of her disorder as some attention seeker tactic. ( btw the neglect was so bad the only thing his parents gave him was peppermint tea but he couldn't read the instructions so he couldn't make it.) So when he finds out it wasn't his OR his sisters fault it was his family's he becomes less and less happy at his funeral and he noticed that everyone was crying now but it didn't matter because now that he is dead there is nothing they can do about it.

This song is just sad in general. It talks about a neglected kid who just wanted attention and a kid who gets attention for a bad reason. I honestly feel bad for both of them, and I think it’s the parent’s fault that they neglected their children so bad, but Hansel also needs to learn that his sister gets attention for a bad reason, and that he shouldn’t envy her.

I find it very appealing that Hansel and Gretel have different outlooks on the amount of attention they get.
Hansel is being neglected, and only wants someone to care and give him attention.
Gretel, however, gets attention constantly for her disease and only wants to be left alone.
Heres my interpretation of this songs meaning...

So there was this boy named hansel who had a twin sister with a disorder of some kind and got all the attention, and hansel got neglected. And since his sister had a disorder all of the people around him would go talk(but actually bully) her. But hansel didn't know this so she thought of her disorder as some attention seeker tactic. So in order to get attention he starts to SH but is to scared to show anyone so he doesn't get attention. The only thing he got attention for was bike ridding because other people would wave hi to him as he drove by. One day he took Gretel (his sister) to a place like an island that had alligators and pussed her into the water but she didn't die so easily, Instead she just went to the hospital which got her more attention. Finally he cant take it anymore with the bad neglect he was getting. He jumped into the place with the alligators and so gone with time. When he sees that people had found his body and made a funeral for him he gets the attention he wanted but he realizes. When he was SH ing at the time he thought it was his and his sisters fault he was getting neglected. ( btw the neglect was so bad the only thing his parents gave him was peppermint tea but he couldn't read the instructions so he couldn't make it.) So when he finds out it wasn't his OR his sisters fault it was his family's he becomes less and less happy at his funeral and he noticed that everyone was crying now but it didn't matter because now that he is dead there is nothing they can do about it.
