As an American child in the 1950's I lived in Japan for two years. My father was officer in USAF. We lived in a house that was probably 100 years old in mountains. Oh my gosh, what a Fabulous experience!!! The Country was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! All of my little friends were Japanese and I wore a kimono everyday. Tokyo was a wonderland!!! The Japanese were SO gracious!!! The kindest people!!! I still adhere to so many customs and have beautiful items from our time in Japan. Oh yes...do visit that Country. So very beautiful!!! Mnt Fugiama was our view every day!!! Dad always had us live as Japanese citizens. You will not be disappointed. Just AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. ALways be as gracious as they are and respect their philosophies and culture.❤❤❤
WOW what an amazing experience to have growing up!! I love how the culture influenced your life 💜 so so amazing to hear some of your story! Thanks for sharing!!
Happy to say we are landing in japan in 2 weeks. Thanks to seeing this video 6 months ago, my wife and I decided to make this our next trip destination. Thanks for your videos and answering our questions. !!!!!!!!!!
I have always thought Japan would be very different and extremely complicated for people around the world, therefore would not attract them to visit here. Now I am finding myself I was wrong. I am seeing people from America, Europe, Asia and all over the world which is quite amazing to me. I quess all Japanese wishes visitors here to have wonderful time and willing to do even small things for you guys whenever given the opportunites. Welcome to Japan and have a wonderful time.
I was actually quite worried about this as well, but it was much more tourist/English friendly than I expected!! Technology makes it definitely more doable as well - able to translate and navigate instantly is really nice.
Super vlog video,👍 Really enjoy it from the begining until the end!! There was really good tips, nice place to visit and amazing view by the quality of the shots. Really effort put in this make it professionnal 👏👏 Thank you for sharing your work
Is it just me or the quality of this Japan travel video is higher than other Japan travel videos out there? And this is probably the only one that doesn't include convenience store😂
@JaychelAdventure Not really. I got there on a Tuesday at about 11 am. and got in very soon. But it was already quite crowded. I shudder to imagine what it's like on a weekend.
@JaychelAdventure I believe it. It's actually way out at the end of the subway line to get there, but an entire community has sprung up around it since it was built. It's simply called "Skytree Town." It's a popular date-spot among young people, apparently.
I love that you guys went to USJ. When I was studying in Osaka that was one of my favorite things to do with my friends. Not many japan travel videos cover USJ which is a shame because it’s a super fun place
Yes!! It was seriously one of my favorite things we did in Japan!! It was so fun. So cool you studied in Osaka - such an amazing place to live for a time!
Could you share the name of the restaurant that you had the Ginza steak dinner. We are travelling to Japan in a week and would like to go there. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this video. Although I am Japanese and live in Japan, your video gives me a lot of tips where I should visit and have experience here. As Japanese Yen is significantly depreciated against other currencies, I am going to travel in Japan for a while till the exchange rate turns around.
Your travel guide videos are a delightful blend of travel wisdom and wanderlust. Your passion for exploration is inspiring. Just a quick question - have you had a chance to explore the new v4 Bento Bag by NomadLane? It might align with your travel philosophy.
Hey guys, this was one of the most informative videos I have found so far in preparation for my trip in 2 weeks from now. Any info regarding when would the part 2 get released?
I am Japanese. Ippudo is indeed famous, but only as a chain, not as the best tonkotsu ramen. There are many better tonkotsu ramen than Ippudo. Personally, the best in Tokyo is Ramen Kenta in Koenji. Please try it if you have the chance.
Do you have any recommendations for areas to fly drones? Last time I was there, the only place I felt that I was allowed to fly my drone was at Shirahama beach where there weren't many people around. I really want to capture some aerial shots in Japan but I definitely don't want to get into trouble with Japanese police 😵💫
We only flew it in Okinawa over the water and in the remote place in Nara. You’re not allowed to fly near crowded areas or sites, which makes it difficult since most of the places we were visiting were crowded cities and sites haha. You can read up more about Japan drone laws here: uavcoach.com/drone-laws-in-japan/#:~:text=General%20Rules%20for%20Flying%20a%20Drone%20in%20Japan&text=Contact%20Japan's%20UA%20%2F%20Drone%20Counseling,of%20people%20or%20private%20property.
What time of the year did you guys went do you mind being specific. We are planning trip to Japan next year around end of April for two weeks your itenary is really helpful thank you :)
first time watching, its great, really jealous, definitely want to go to japan and live there but maybe less cutting the videos and leave in longer clips or release a separate video with full length. i kind of like seeing the longer scenes and people walking around . every clip is too short x( otherwise cool vid thats just my opnion
That restaurant with all you can eat beef does not account for drinks and other stuff. Its about 90$ per person like how does that add up? It is a tourist trap in my opinion, would watch out and see the reviews for more.
Huh interesting! It included everything for us - appetizers, etc. We don’t drink so maybe alcoholic drinks were extra? We were brought here by our friend who lives in Tokyo and LOVED it! Highly recommend - one of the best meals I’ve had!!

We are aiming for next week!!!
The best view in Tokyo is unquestionably at the Skytree.
But try to get to get there early in the day on a weekday.
It's a VERY popular spot.
Definitely somewhere you need to plan beforehand 😅
