Visit also the new Toranomon Hills Station (especially the T-market) and the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower.
If you come in Tokyo in 2024, you must to visit the new Azabudai Hills (which has buildings with very original architecture, which also has plenty of green spaces with, among other things, lots of fruit trees on the roofs which are accessible and also with the famous teamLab Borderless which will reopen in this complex in January 2024 and also lots of new stores and shopping centers as well as works of art and even a new shrine)
Am going to pin this comment, super helpful! Thanks 🤩
Wow, Tokyo looks absolutely lit in 2023! 🇯🇵 Thanks for this epic 10-day guide, guys! Now I'm convinced I can do Tokyo on a budget too! 🎉💸 #TravelGoals
Have fun! 🤩
Wonderful video of Japan, and very informative! Thank you very much! ❤🎉
Glad you enjoyed it! You're very welcome 💕
日本を楽しんでくれてありがとう!また機会があったら是非来てくださいね😊
ぜひまた来たいです! とても美しい国です
Nice video I'm going to Tokyo in 2 weeks
Hope you enjoy it!
amazing infornation
Glad it was helpful!
Not sure if this was already mentioned, but the alien mochi are not $32. They are 400 Yen ($2.65) for 3.
Yes someone already clarified thank you😍 they sell out usually by early afternoon, so the only thing left when we tried to get them were the $30 big “take home” pack of them
Very well done video, very informative!
Glad it helped!
I loved your video! Im heading over in early November. How many times did you end up using the JR pass overall if you had to give a guess? I was meant to buy it not too long ago but then the prices rised by a dramatic amount. I think it went up around 60-70% and so now i don't know if its worth it... I'm staying 14 days total. I arrive at Haneda airport and going to Tokyo, then 5 days later to Osaka for a week (Universal studios, kyoto, etc). Then eventually back to Tokyo. Your video is definitely a bunch of the things I plan on doing the first 5 days! Thanks for the very detailed video its much appreciated.
You're super welcome! We ended up only using our JR Pass 6 times (Tokyo-Kyoto, Kyoto-Nara, Nara-Kyoto, Kyoto-Tokyo) but at the time we calculated that that would already be worth the price. There are quite a few free calculators on JR Pass websites that allow you to calculate whether it's worth it or not - if not, just add up what each trip would cost one by one and see if it's worth it. It's a shame to hear the prices went up though, they were already quite pricey to begin with. Good luck!
@@SofiaAbrantes Thanks so much! Very much appreciated with the quick response. Gave you a sub! Hope to see more content.
Great video! Which view point do you think was the best?
Thank you ☺️ SkyTree definitely gives you a better view of the whole city, and gives you a feel of how big it is. Shibuya Sky is cooler for pictures, and for looking at Shibuya Crossing from above in detail. If you’re looking for quantity: SkyTree. Quality: Shibuya Sky
@@SofiaAbrantes thanks!
Very informative vid. I’m going myself.
Q: what is the name of the sky tower with the 360 view of Tokyo.
Thank you! I hope you have a great time 😍 it's just called SkyTower
Are you talking about Tokyo Skytree?
@@jennifer1623 Omg yup 🤦🏻♀ Tokyo SkyTree
Hi Sofia
Your Japan trip was amazing. Thanks for sharing the highlights of your trip. I was wondering thế breakfast you eat on the Nara day. Was it at the hotel or a place outside of the hotel? Thank you
Hi! And thank you 💕
It was at the hotel, both of those breakfasts. We stayed at “SH by the Square”. It was great!
Nice video cute❤
Thank you 🤗
Do you have the link for the JR pass we’re going in October? Also how many days were you in Kyoto?
There are many different companies that sell the JR pass! If you google it you can pick your favorite, we used jrpass.com. We were in Kyoto "3" days, we arrived Day 1 at noon, had one full day (Day 2), and left Day 3 around 5pm. We felt like it was more than enough, if we had had an extra day we would have gone down to Osaka which is only 15 minutes from Kyoto
Enjoy Japan❤
It was amazing 🤩
What was the name of your hotel in Shinjuku area? that bed looks super comfy!
It was called Onsen Ryokan Yuen Shinjuku. It was good value for money especially because it had an Onsen, but it was quite dusty in the room (if you have allergies, something to keep in mind).
Do you have the link for the footrest? Want to get one before our trip. Thanks,
Yes! Here you go: amzn.to/3BeDtrb (it's 40% off right now)
@@SofiaAbrantesthanks!!
When you got on the bus did you pay with your Suica card or did you pay with cash?
We always paid with Suica! It worked everywhere, even in Kyoto (which we worried about since it is a little more rural at times)
The Indie has gone international, love to see it:)
Truly has 😍 I’m obsessed.
Its kinda inefficient you went to Fushini Inari and then went to the bamboo forest. Then went to Kiyumizu Dera and Romantic Train.
Fushini Inari and Kiyumiza is so close together. Bamboo forest and Romantic Train is also close.
I completely agree! We ended up having to do it this way because we had two "half days" there (our train travel days) and due to weather forecasts (heavy rain). So we did Fushini Inari half day one, Kiyumiza Dera on our second "half day", then picked up our bags from the hotel at checkout time and left them at Kyoto station, and went to the Romantic Train quickly before hopping on the train back to Kyoto.
But 100% agree with you - not the most efficient schedule! We made do with what we could squeeze in
Paying for express passes is definitely the way to go to skip lines at any disney park 😂
I’d 100% do it if I could
What hotel did you stayed on in ginza?thank you.
Grand Bach Ginza!
いいね👍️素晴らしい😊日本🇯🇵から
とても素敵でした!
What was the restaurant in Nara??
It was our hotel breakfast! SH by the Square - that’s the name
Great video! I don't think the mochi green aliens are $32, there are usually 3 (Strawberry, Custard and Chocolate) and they've always been 600 yen in the past. I'll be going in October so I'll be surprised if they went up that much! Hopefully not. But I got a lot of great ideas for my trip from this vlog, and very informative, thank you! Mermaid Lagoon is my favorite area at Disney Sea, and I haven't ridden Journey to the Center of the earth which is supposed to be the best ride in Disney Sea, but Tokyo Disneyland is my favorite of the two parks! Maybe because I'm more of a classic Disney fan, so I understand your not being as impressed by Disney Sea. Thanks again!
I really hope you find them at a decent price!! I was so sad, was really looking forward to trying them and my fiancé even stood in line for 30 minutes just to double check the price. Maybe they were too high in demand because of warm weather? You might have better luck in October!
So happy this helped you 💕 Journey to the Center of the Earth was disappointing tbh: very small “cars” and tiny windows to look out of. The flight one (I forget the name) was awesome but we waited for two hours for it (not so awesome haha). Our faves were Indiana Jones and Tower of Terror (but those are Disney classics indeed).
We’re going to Hong Kong in November and I’m excited to try their Disney!
@SofiaAbrantes @jennifer1623 just to clear some things up. The little green alien mochi things are still like less than 400 yen (~3 bucks) for the like 3 mochi in the cup. I think the confusion about the 4500 Yen mochi is because they sell a whole box that contains like 8 frozen packs of mochi along w cups. It's meant for you to thaw and enjoy at home
@@lonelustrudel6389 Thanks for the info! After a quick Google search I think I know what happened: the individual portions you mentioned apparently always sell out by the afternoon, so most likely the expensive option was all that was left by the time we tried to get them (around 6pm)
@@SofiaAbrantes Bummer!!! That sucks. Anyways I really enjoyed your video it's so much more down to earth than others. 💓
Thank you@@lonelustrudel6389 ! Means the world 💕
How do you add Suica card.
You go to your Apple Wallet on your iPhone, and then select "Add a Card". Then it'll allow you to search for one, and you can just search "Suica". From there you can simply top it up using your credit card!
How was eating out? Was it hard with the language barrier? :)
Not at all! Even in restaurants where they didn’t understand English, they always tried their best to understand us and were super patient and kind. We had nothing but wonderful experiences, especially when it involved interacting with locals 💕
hmmm,... in Tokyo I would have gone to Yanaka Ginza .... it's real " low-town " Tokyo and sometimes the neighborhood gets used for movies. For me, I really don't like Fushimi Inari Taishi but my relatives always drag me there, like last month. Shimogamo Shrine is so much more historical and beautiful. And it's associated with Kamo-no-Chomei, the author of Hojoki ...
Definitely noted these for next time, thank you 💕
@@SofiaAbrantes um,... JNTO ( the national tourism organization) was ordered to promote foreign tourism when the economy collapsed. They did a really good job of turning the country into the world's Disneyland. Strangely enough, if you go to any museum featuring Western art you'll see nothing but Japanese nationals ....

I would love to come back to Japan 🤩
