We're going to come in June (because that's the only time available with kids), I understand it's a rainy season and not very sunny, but I live in one of the sunniest places on earth and a break from sunshine for 2 weeks in summer sounds fabulous. Will visit Hokkaido as part of it though. Thanks for the video!!
While I do kinda agree, I have travelled several times during Golden week. And with a bit of planning and flexibility, it can actually be very rewarding! After all, there are so many matsuri and events all over Japan! And for most part, I didn't have much trouble finding hotels or getting train tickets.....except for the Hokuriku Shinkansen. As for August, yes, the heat and humidity is pretty much unbearable, even at Hokkaido. But despite not liking hot weather at all, I did go twice purely for the many Tohoku (and a few Hokkaido) matsuri. One underrated season I think is winter. Yes, it very much depends on where you go, but places like Tokyo or Kansai generally don't get that cold in winter, meanwhile there are much less tourists than normal and the weather is generally nice with clear skies and very little rain. That's obviously a bit different in Tohoku and Hokkaido, but in February those have tons of amazing winter festivals. And just seeing how those areas cope with the massive amounts of snow is an experience in itself.
Don‘t worry. Shops will be Open just like normal, plus many stunning Christmas decorations. On the downside, a lot of couples are spending Christmas time together, so accomodation prices, especially at high-class hotels are comparatively high during that season.
You can enjoy plum flowers in early March. and maybe early blooming Kawazu zakura in Kawazu town inShizuoka instagram.com/reel/C3Xgv6jokVd/?igsh=Nm52cGIxcTd4ZGlo yes usually Sakura will be over early April but you can go north of Japan then still there
I said, if you don’t mind crowd of huge people, it’s the best time to visit for Sakura, cherry blossom viewing🌸 but if you don’t like busy and crowd of people, the worst time to visit.

Yeah, September is still hot, but morning and evening getting cooler. It’s also typhoon season, so please check the weather forecast frequently.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience! :) 💕
what about beginning of March?
So if you like, and can handle cold, plus you want to avoid tourists, come in January/February.
got my ticket (round trip) for 450 (150 after a credit card bonus) for mid january. it being cheaper and cold is an easy trip for me
Thank you for this video , I was planning to go to Japan in mid of January with my wife any tip or advice?
Nice! please be prepared for cold weather. Enjoy!
Hi. We will be in Nagoya from Dec 24 to 31. Will it be a bad time for shopping and Sightseeing? Will the shops and restaurants be open? Thank you.
Don‘t worry. Shops will be Open just like normal, plus many stunning Christmas decorations. On the downside, a lot of couples are spending Christmas time together, so accomodation prices, especially at high-class hotels are comparatively high during that season.
What about February like the 8th to the middle of the month?
It will be super cold 🥶 If you do ski, ⛷️ visit Hokkaido or Nagano (and many other places) :) You’ll enjoy!
@@japanonlinetour We will be staying in Tokyo mostly and going to like Kyoto possibly would it still be very cold?
I don’t know where you from, and how you feel it depends, but January and February are the coldest months of the year in Japan.
thank you for this video i was just wondering is early september a good time to visit japan or is it as hot as august ?
You're welcome! Thanks for watching. Hmm, early September is still hot🥵 Please make sure to bring a fan and lots of water when you go out! :)
How about early March? Say 1-15 March? Also, is Sakura season over by first week of April?
You can enjoy plum flowers in early March. and maybe early blooming Kawazu zakura in Kawazu town inShizuoka instagram.com/reel/C3Xgv6jokVd/?igsh=Nm52cGIxcTd4ZGlo
yes usually Sakura will be over early April but you can go north of Japan then still there
I planning a trip for Mid-January. Is Tokyo still crowded during that time?
Tokyo is crowded all the time ;)
How about March ?
It is too cold or hot weather?
It's not too cold nor too hot in early March. It is 15-20C (59-68F) in early March and not too humid. Perfect temperature for me.
How about December 31 to the 4th
Hope you had a good yearend & new year in Japan! or are you coming this year end?
Did you watch the video? it’s explained!
Naruhodo 😊😊😊
Your beatuful
How bout September?
Still hot 🥵
@@japanonlinetour Is end of September more manageable? I'll be traveling to Osaka on the 25th next year :(
@@TirakiTX Last year went from 9/15-10/2. Temperature still often high 80's low 90's F (30-34c) and humid.
@@johnlowell5905 Thanks for answering! I'll be traveling from 25th sep to 15th oct, so I hope that october is better manageable
So, according to this there really isn’t a best time.
You say avoid going end of March beginning of April then say it’s the best time to come.
I said, if you don’t mind crowd of huge people, it’s the best time to visit for Sakura, cherry blossom viewing🌸
but if you don’t like busy and crowd of people, the worst time to visit.
