Big thanks to both you guys as you were the inspiration for me getting into this sport. I'm a life long snowboarder who took up Foil Driving this past summer and I absolutely love it. I've ordered Gen2 from a dealer. Such an amazing tool to unlock fun on the water, smooth flow like riding endless powder.
Thank you for this excellent content. Great to see you both carving some swells in the North Atlantic at the end of the video. Yeeoow! Best wishes to Foil Drive Europe from a South Australian local.
What do you think of the integrated Axis mast with the appropriate foil for the particular downwind conditions. Would you still be able to do some intermittent pumping? Could you ride efoil style without pumping? At 75 kg body weight do you think it would be possible to get a range of say 13 or 14km, 50-60 minutes up on foil, no pumping?
Really good interview. There is one thing people need to be aware of: their local rules and regulations. FD and similar products are not legal in certain countries.
As of 2023, the use of e-foils is subject to varying regulations in different European countries: Switzerland: eFoils and Jetboards are currently banned in Switzerland. Germany: Generally, eSurfboards, including eFoils, are allowed but need to be registered if they exceed 2.21 kW. However, they are banned on Bavarian lakes and Lake Constance. Austria: The regulations vary regionally. Generally, eSurfboards are categorized as floating objects and are allowed, but a license is required for those with more than 4.4 kW power. Italy: Specifically on Lake Maggiore and Lake Lugano, eSurfboards are banned, in line with Swiss regulations due to an agreement between Italy and Switzerland. The Netherlands: The Dutch authorities have not yet categorized eSurfboards, including eFoils, under their boat regulations. Vessels exceeding 20 km/h require registration and a license, but since eFoils and Jetboards don't fit into any category, registration is not possible
@@JetSurfingNationlol welcome to Europe, where there are regulations and high fines for just about everything, great video tough, and I'll probably buy one and risk it
You talk about the competition and how their long cables look unprofessional, but hey, the first generation Foil Drive is still on sale and, in case you haven't noticed, they have long cables too.
@@JetSurfingNation Apparently at 28:41 you noticed a third participant. And at 29:24 you put your hand in your pocket to check if you have the balls. Unfortunately, no, because if you had balls, you would have stopped the interview, kicked the pervert out, apologized to Dominic, and re-shot the episode.
I did not get the joke.. It's a public beach, people go around to run and do morning exercises, it's all good, the man is just doing his morning pushups probably, but i dont have eyes on my back to notice him :)
Hi. What about making a clip comparing Gen2 with Stoke? It would be, really, really useful. Yeww!
Sorry Stoke is far from being ready to be compared from what i’ve seen, gen2 is better in every way

Yes definitely you can do pumping with inregrated axis mast as it reduces drag significantly
Again cool video. Again. Assist MAX battery is no airplane battery...correct?
All gen2 batteries are not airplane friendly but in 2024 they might introduce different airplane friendly batteries as well
good video mate.
Thanks 👍

Can it be used with an inflatable Gong board (and Gong mast)?
Yes
What board is this in the video ?
5 feet custom one
I now use 40 L apple tree board and love it
@@JetSurfingNation could you do flatwater pumping with this board as well ? And use it in waves - in which video do you use this board ?

This is discussion of gen 2 with no cables
Hi looks a nice spot where you are riding. Where is this please?
Baleal Portugal
Can you take any of these batteries on a plane?
gen1 yes, gen2 not yet, in future they will make airplane friendly batteries
28:51 My five year old daughter asked what the guy in the red T-shirt was doing? And I replied that he was having sex. I'm right?
Wtf 😬

Or maybe you just wanted this interview to have a sexy vibe?
