In this video I replace the stock needle and seat that came with these carbs with Italian made brass needle and seat made for Weber carbs. These carbs are just replicas of those and are basically the same with some minor differences, like a brass needle versus a neoprene tipped needle.
I also change the main jet and idle jet to help my bus run better. I have CB044 heads that have bigger intake and exhaust valves so I wanted to give my engine more flow for my heads.
I also check the level on my float to adjust if necessary. I do admit that the floats need to be replaced, which I do in this video: • EMPI VW DUAL CARBS | F... .

For sure dude. Gotta give props to the folks who teach me stuff. I've learned a lot from you and Mike from Bombero bus. Of course there is all the others too, but you and Mike's videos are shorter and more to the point.
Good video , i just had a pair of EMPI's to rebuild , the carbs i received had F3 in one and F56 in the other carb also different jets . i got the imulsion tube out be using a self taping screw into the tube hole and pulling it out . Done loads of Weber 34 ict's these were the first EMPI epc34's i have done nice carbs .
fitted new F6 Imulsion tubes for 1600cc tp
Interesting thanks for the info. I thought about the screw trick but I didn’t see any threads in the tube. I will look again. Where did you get your parts?
Have you considered two channels? One for your VW content and one for your Padres content?
Yeah for sure. Thanks for the suggestion. I think your right. I'm gonna make a new channel just for my padres content. Hopefully I can transfer all my padres videos over there. Do you know anything about that?

@@JMC8415 Jaaa ok. Done. I used to live in Oakland and worked in SF for about two years. Loved it there. Love the bay area in general. Used to park my bus in SF which was terrible because I had to have a friend move it to avoid tickets once a week. Such a hassle. Super props to my friend who helped me out though. I actually had a shop do some work on my vdub when I was up there. I didn't much about vdubs back then. This was probably around 2008.
