    I have canned fried apples for years. Doing just as you are now except my apple slices are a little larger. When I dump them in the skillet to heat I add a little cornstarch water slurry to the skillet and stir and to thicken the syrup. And as far as the butter question I read, well even though not “approved” people can butter. My grandma put these apples up all the time.

      Thank you for watching and for your commenting!! They are so delicious!! My slices are too thin for sure. I used my corer/slicer, but when I do them again, I will slice them by hand so they can be thicker. Take care!!🥰

    Bee this is brilliant! Love this concept. Will be doing some this week. I knew you would figure it out girl. Up bright and early this morning having my coffee and getting my husband ready for a shower. It was a pleasure to see you had loaded a video to enjoy my coffee with. These fried apples look delicious. I would not add another thing to this recipe. Take care.

      Good Morning Cindy!!! I spent a half day yesterday, canning the rest of my apples, and this method worked out really well. I hope yours turn out well for you. I used quart jars on this last batch I did, so most all my apples are now gone. I am really happy to have gotten them and was able to do this. I just love fried apples. The last half of yesterday, I spent canning chicken quarters. I'm like a squirrel stocking up for winter!!!! It is very frightening when I watch the news and see the shape our country is in as well as the rest of the world. Fortunately for me, I enjoy doing this type thing, and being mostly retired, I have the time. Well, I hope you have a great day. I am in the process of draining my pool. It has gotten algae in it, and my shocking it did not get rid of it, so, I decided to drain it and start over. Never a dull minute around here for me!!! Take care and will talk soon!!🥰

    Remembering the 1st method, this one seems more straightforward!

    I like this better than the last way. Btw please pray for my brother. He has kidney cancer which spread into his lungs last year and now they think it has spread to his spine because he can't walk or stand without help. His Dr admitted him in the hospital. He has lost a bunch of weight and looking and sounding really bad and his Dr thought he had a stroke but test shows he didn't and now they are doing an MRI to see if the cancer has spread to his spine. They are recommending home hospice for him now. His wife just had her 2nd reconstructive surgery on her right breast from when she had breast cancer.

      Oh my goodness Debbie! I am so sorry to hear this about your brother! I have just prayed and will continue to lift he and his wife both up in prayer. It is such a dreadful disease, and the more I hear, the more I know how truly the Lord has blessed me. Did your sister in law have a problem with reconstruction, or was this a continued process on her breast? I will be seeing my plastic surgeon again on the 15th. My left side, has a lot of scar tissue, and I don't know if anything would be advisable to do about that. Other than that, I have done amazingly well. I just give the Lord the credit, because I know He is the one that carried me through this and blessed me. You take care!

      @@beebahscountrykitchen8683 As far as I know she did good with the first one. She is still recovering from the second one and dealing with my brothers death too.

      @@debbieskitchen2 Her's must have been done differently from mine. I hope she will recover completely and without any complications. I know what she is going through with losing your brother. My husband died in 2015, and it was such an awful thing to deal with. But, the Lord is so good, and gave me the strength I needed to get through. I pray He will comfort her and all of you.

    do you have to peel the apples?

    • @beebahscountrykitchen8683
      @beebahscountrykitchen8683  8 місяців тому

      I chose to peel mine. I would think it would be a personal preference as to whether or not you peel them.🥰
