    Great video Paul! A whole lotta fun watching this one. Interestingly, we spent 2 nights at the old Trenton Marina where Boogaboo III was tied, only on the opposite side of the same finger. That would've been in 2003 in our Doral after traversing Lake Ontario from Toronto in a following sea that was a tad frightful! The Murray Canal was fun to traverse in that trip. Again, really enjoyed this one seeing a lot of familiar spots from our past. Cheers!

      Sounds like you beat us there by three years, as our first visit to Trenton - the one portrayed in this video - was in 2006.
      Glad you enjoyed your own trip down memory lane. Maybe my look back at our 400 Sedan will stir more recollections from your past boat years as well. Look forward to more TSW, Georgian Bay and even the trip home from Michigan!

    This was a great video. I think what made it great was just the joy in your voice recounting those good times.

    Paul, Thanks for sharing. Looks like you have some wonderful memories of times past.
    That was really crazy with that nail gun !!
    Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season. 😎Cheers !

      Yes, lots of memorable adventures with that boat! Glad you enjoyed it.
      As for the nail gun incident on the ice, I plead innocence. Or ignorance 😜 Happily, the only issue was one boot that got a little submerged. . .

    That was really fun! Makes me want to dig out all of my old 8mm videos and have them digitized so I can watch our old boating adventures. Looking forward to the ‘Boogaboo IV’ retrospective episode. 😊

    We had a 1989 268 Sundancer for 20 years . Did allot of camping in that boat. Loved the amenities and cooked with the alcohol stove allot. Ours was white with a red stripe and the reverse arch 7.4 Bravo. And we had the original camper top till the day we sold it

      Nice 👍 Our previous boat to this 300 was an '87 268 Sundancer - similar to yours, but only a single 5.7 Mercruiser which was underpowered for the boat.
      Check out my look back at that one here; ua-cam.com/video/XSb6iI75dWw/v-deo.html
      Aaaaaaand, our previous boats, including a 1976 240, on my Our Old Boats playlist (link in the description)
      I'll look forward to seeing your comments on those vids 🤓

    Thanks for sharing. And reminding me how much I hated working on the stern drives on my old boat.

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  2 дні тому

      Servicing the outdrives on that boat was more of a Saturday afternoon thing, with some tunes playing in the garage and a couple of cold ones to ease the paint ;-) The worse part was man-handling them back onto the boat, standing on the ice, hoping I got the shift cable aligned properly. Shortly after launch one Spring, I had to have my trailer guy come by the marina to haul Boogaboo out so I could pull one drive, line up the shift cable (properly), out everything back together and re-launch. The boat wasn't out of the water for more than 30 minutes!

      Glad you liked it! Editing all those clips was a little like building a puzzle 😉
      Next problem; sifting through hundreds of photos and video clips for the next one - Boogaboo IV 😳 Wish me luck 🤞

      I can still recall admiring these ones out on the water, years before we bought this one.Yes, they are still a good looking boat 👌
      Funny story is that this actual boat is back at the same marina where we at 20 years ago!

    I think my 1989 300DA was my favorite cruiser.

      I can't say this was our favorite cruiser, but we definitely enjoyed a lot of new experiences with it. A good boat for sure, and I always look back on it with nothing but great memories 😃

      @joanneiler2415 The video could have been longer, but after working on it for three weeks 🥴 I wanted to get it out. Still have the look back at our 400 Sedan to share, so wish me luck on getting it finished before Christmas! 😂

    What an awesome video Paul! Was curious about two things....how did you come up with the name Boogaboo? and was that a solar light wire tied to the anchor light???? Great memories.

    I had to drive with my knees on the seat too Anchor Girl. Thought it was just me, now I know it was the 300.

    Do you think these Sea Rays are a good idea to buy these days? Considering the age at this point..

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  3 дні тому

      The only thing that I'd watch out for would be osmosis on the hull, as we had that on our prior 268 Sundancer. They were both the same 1987 model year and despite no issues on this 300, something to keep in mind.

    Would you take your kids on these adventures or was this adult time lol?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  2 дні тому

      Our kids were too old to be involved with their old parents at this point, keeping in mind that they were already in their 20's. Funny part is that the 'old folks' were having a lot more fun on these (& plenty more) adventures than them! 😉
      And yes, there was quite a few more stories from those days that are never going to find their way to UA-cam 🤐
