I have some feedback for nothing os. Please: 1) Make your own dialer app with call recording 2) Make your own calculator, clock app 3) Make your own Files app 4) Add an option to double tap to lock from lockscreen and also double tap to wake screen (not single tap) 5) Add an option to set different ringtones for different SIMs 6) Make some basic conventional ringtones unlike which the os has right now(very strange and quirky)

My father had the Windows Phone, a Blackberry, the Nokia Soap phone, of which the Win and BB were passed on to me. This has a heavy dose of nostalgia and respect to those who tried to reinvent the UI experience. They may not have been always great, but they were always memorable

I once had a Lumia 920. I absolutely loved that phone! All my friends were stunned by its design. I remember facing a tough choice when it came to picking a color. The white and yellow back panels with black accents really stood out.

Absolutely loved Windows phone and the way they went about the OS. It was such a breath of fresh air! The little bits of content "peeking" was such an intuitive way to convey that there was more to be seen, the type-heavy, content-first approach with the stripped back chrome was so clean. I was also really sad that it couldn't really carry on. Anyway, glad to see Nothing have such thoughtful designers who just have a great appreciation for these sorts of things.

Nothing OS is the type of OS that inspires itself over time - it started a whole new trend (simplicity and monochromatic looks) and I really want it to be this way for a long time
I fully agree with you! Adding some extra functionality but keeping the looks minimalistic and monochromatic are definitely the way Nothing should keep going forward. I had a Pixel 7a before buying my Nothing Phone 2a and I'm thankful to Nothing for their approach to user experience.
I love how they will explain their thought process behind the design decision made. Such transparency, I wonder if their transparency design element comes from this.
Nokia had a filp phone with dual screen (small one on the outside.) that phone had probably the best OS/UI. I remember using that phone to flex on my friends saying "I can change the songs without even flip opening the phone" even though it was a flip phone.
It's always good to see Mladen in these videos and listen to what he says about design. I am a big fan of Blloc Ratio (I still use it from 2021) and the new Nothing os 3.0 has the same interesting look with unique functions

That’s a bit like saying, “They act like their car is revolutionary, but it’s just another stylised version of the same thing” There is so much background processes which we don’t see, and very clearly so much thought is put into it from this guy. Just because it appears to be simple, doesn’t mean it’s not revolutionary in some other way.
They have talked about this before but before they make smaller phones they need to continue increasing their sales of their bigger devices first to get the revenue to take chances on smaller devices. Historically smaller devices just don't sell anymore That's why Apple canceled both their minis soon after not making many sales

I had several BlackBerry devices over the years - and still miss the physical keyboard. They were well-build, durable and unbeatable for productivity. I thought BlackBerry OS 10, launched in 2013, was superior to both iOS and Android of the day but unfortunately few apps were developed for it and BlackBerry suffered a terminal decline. They did decide to sell Android devices but it was too late and their offerings by then were weak. The BlackBerry Passport remains my favourite mobile device to this day. The form factor was brilliant and you could sideload most Android apps. I used it up to I think late 2018, when the battery could barely hold a charge.
please bring your own OS. We are really tired of these boring android and ios devices. You are the last hope. You already have said you have the potential to bring a new OS.

My first semi smart phone was an lg that was like a copy of a Nokia but had a tiny joystick in place of the ok button. Made playing the games so easy. Loving the nothing content. Such a refreshing thing seeing the people behind the scenes
Looking back at failed products is one of the best techniques when designing a new product. The biggest failures often have a brilliant feature or two that have since been forgotten.

Windows Phone orphan here. WP was peak design, so fluid and pleasant to look at. I could say the reason I'm a Nothing user today is because Nothing is the only maker that almost scratches the same itch. My NP even feels a bit like my Lumia 930 in the hand.

Nokia N70 and Nokia XL were classics! The N70 had an amazing camera and music capabilities for its time, while the XL brought in a big screen and Android experience. It’s great to remember those iconic features

Ah, the Lumia devices had such a unique charm! The messaging, dialer, and music apps were so clean, smooth, and user-friendly. It’s hard to find that same experience on other platforms. I used to love htc. My first smartphone was htc sensation and what a lovely phone. Nowadays they have changed directions a lot, but now Nothing gives me somehow the same energy in terms of experimenting and passion.

I used to love htc. My first smartphone was htc sensation and what a lovely phone. Nowadays they have changed directions a lot, but now Nothing gives me somehow the same energy in terms of experimenting and passion.

The t68i also had a camera attachment to take photos too, this was a proper trip down memory lane, my dad had a palm tungsten!!
By far, the best phone OS I've experieced was Nothing OS. It feels very polished and well thought out, now I understand why!
