this is the best video I've seen on how to properly integrate the phone into the Rodecaster pro 2 successfully via a line connection. he missed a few key details that you'll already need to know if you expect this to work correctly. even though he isn't fully thorough in his tutorial IT WORKS! thanks.
Awesome! We finally did a test where all we did was reassign one of the sliders for USB2 and it worked great with iPhone 15 exactly how you said 👌 Kinda dumb that the SC19 cable doesn’t work the same 🤷♂️
Yeah. I think it is down to the lightning connection (SC-19). But I’m pleasantly surprised when I got my iPhone 15 to find out that it works with my RØDECaster Pro II. Been longing for this day since RØDE launched it. And coming from the original RØDECaster Pro, where I used to be able to take phone calls etc with my TRRS connection, it was certainly a bummer when I lost all that. Until of course USB-C came to iPhone 15. Thanks EU! 😉
Could you explain why you used the 1/4" 2-into-1 to split the the signal into the iRig 2, which then sends the signal back to the original input? Sorry, it's confusing to put into words, but it looks like you're doing a double-loop sort of thing. Thanks for the video!
several questions....... 1/ why not use either your Pc or Macbook to sign into X spaces? 2/ why not use either one of the usb ports to connect your iPhone. negating the need for an iRig..... I use mine to connect my Ipad.... and the other for my Macbook 3/ Im interested in finding out why the iRig? and does it provide a better mixing quality?.......
Like this, I got the Duo, and FYI, your camera autofocus is pumping, seems to have eye focus on LOL chin and sm7 keeps going in and out.. Love the review
Great video. Just picked up a duo. Praying I don’t need the iRig. Tried an iRig Pro Duo and the whole thing would work everywhere BUT spaces. Probably Murphy again…
I've experiecing problems with play MUSIC specifically with USB C / Iphone max pro and spaces, voice and everything is crystal clear, but music for some reason is causing "lyricals only" and weird issues.
Omg such a great video it inspired me to do the same but to console controller always wanted to plug the caster to console do you think it'll work? Great video
What kind of input is there on the console? I honestly dont know, but that's a great question! If its a TRRS connection, then you'd be able to hear gameplay and speak through a mic. If its a TRS, like a normal mic jack, then you'd be able to send your audio out the console, but you'd have to listen to gameplay and chat on something else. Are there no other Rodecaster on Console videos out there?
@@Shreditor Will i think the controller 3.5 is trrs but i use a different method which suitse better i have a stealseries dac which plugs to the console through usb and it has TRRS input, i used a similar method to the one in your video back with my goxlr mixer it had line in and out puts Which i plug them to headphone and mic splitter that is connected to the dac and it worked with me with a couple of ground loops isolaters, but never thought it would work with the rode caster but u had a brilliant idea and i think it will work i just have one question do u have any ground loop issues? And thank you for responding
I'm doing X Spaces. I bought the equipment you suggested (already had the iRig). I'm having an issue where there is an echo on on the X spaces from the other speakers coming thru my line. Any idea why this is happening?
Figured it out but wanted to share for anyone reading who might have the same issue. I had to to into the headphone settings and mute line 2 (the iRig), by tapping the chainline icon twice, so that it's not sending the iRig signal back out to the iRig broadcast signal. Important piece of data for anyone trying to copy your setup.
I know this would be much simpler with the iPhone 15 using the USB2 but I'm wondering if you still have lightning connections on your iPhone or iPad, does the SC19 cable work? Does Spaces follow the same protocol as phone calls with iOS? Because you can't record phone calls on the RCP via USB. You can only do it with Bluetooth.
It does not. I bought it because this was the first obvious solution to try, and it indeed failed. It will always use the iPhone built in mic on the bottom of the phone as the mic instead of using the rodecaster, but it WILL bring in the audio from the iPhone into the rodecaster. It’s like a 1 way valve, or a TRS connection. Only goes one way, not both.
the issue im having is mix quality on X Spaces.......... My RCP2 has the following setup channel one is assigned to my Mic. = used for vocals channel two is assigned to my iPad. = used for backup music/Karaoke channel four is assigned to my Macbook, [set to mix minus]..... by which I'm able to sign into X Spaces and have a greater visual of whats going on in any space that im in etc....... Now here is the problem. While using the above setup to sing, oft times the vocals will diminish out output of instrumentals on channel two I have switched the Noise Gate to off on both Channels, but the problem persists..... so i have resorted to singing quieter, lol and having the volume over power the vocals...... it kinda works but is hit and miss given the number of instruments on the Karaoke track... anyone have any solutions?
Do you know what cords I would need to use if I was DJing and wanted the precue to come in my headphones? I am having trouble finding videos that show which dongle to use for that with the rodecaster
You’re not talking about speaking on spaces. You’re talking about using Bluetooth to something that your rodecaster is hardwired to. This video is specifically covering the use of a rodecaster for connecting to Twitter (X) live social audio.

Using an Iphone 15 pro max connected to the RC duo and the USB C cable included on the box works for me.
I’m using an iPhone 15 pro max plugged in to usb2 (rodecaster duo though) - no adapter needed. Works great

im having an issue where speakers can hear themselves twice. they hear me and music streamed in fine but hear themselves, any idea how to fix this?
I believe you need to be in (Mix & Match) setting to prevent that
Great video, I needed this!
LFG chris, great video! Your boy META from MV3!

I’m connected iPhone 15 to rodecaster duo as well. Works beautifully
Such good news! 🚀

Hey love ❤did you ever link the extension cord for the dongle? To hide the irig2 better?
I did! I need to make that little video update about it. Sooooo much better with the extension only and the rest of the mess hidden behind my desk 👌

Is it the same process with the rcp2 duo?

Connected everything and it sounds very low. Same exact setup as yours. Any help would be appreciated

Hello! Im just want To buy Rc Duo for Tiktok live. It will works? , i have iPhone 14 (with lighting adapter) Thank U so much
You should be able to just go on X spaces via your web browser to cut down on the connections to play any sound from your computer.
Do you know what cords I would need to use if I was DJing and wanted the precue to come in my headphones? I am having trouble finding videos that show which dongle to use for that with the rodecaster
Does the IPhone 16 work??
Amazing!!
god-tier
🙏💜👊
I don't understand why you are using the iRig2 ?
Rodecaster pro 2 is able to connect with trrs or bluetooth to a smartphone.
he mentioned it in the video
Thank you ser
Welcome 🤝
I have no muffled sound using Bluetooth on my SM7B through RC2, maybe you received a bad unit.
You’re not talking about speaking on spaces. You’re talking about using Bluetooth to something that your rodecaster is hardwired to.

Brother thanks for video! and btw you'v got Russian Sur name))
I think if you have only rode trs to trrs cable you don't need nothing else mybe only the Dock doesn't
Just FYI to everyone here now. You can just get into spaces with your PC and be able to talk in them now
Great info! Love it but don't pretend iphone is good haha
Ooooooo
