Love that your grand father hooked you up with that tailgate and those mud-flaps lol. Also, just realized that Tyco used the Nissan D21 Hardbody for their Bandit design. The hood with those three front slits and the king cab windows to the roof are the giveaway .
Yeah I love those parts he made for. Just a of history here!
This is the one RC car that I always wanted but never owned, even when I had Tamiyas, I wanted one of these👍
Having both I can say that to this day, this is still an amazing car.
@6:05 LOL 😆
My cousin had 1 such cool nostalgia.
Hahah! Thanks!
I love this bandit
I do too!
I've SO been looking forward to this! Love your Tyco vids, need more! EDIT: Dude... I love your Bandits, I love the story about your grandpa's repair, and yeah... wonderful video, thank you.
Well thank you. They are great cars and very special.
I had a red mini bandit when I was young. Now I grew up dirt floor poor so it was my most prized possession. Drove that thing til the rear tires were nearly bald mostly pulling a Lego trailer I’d made. Trying to find one now for my rc collection is near impossible and when I do find one they’re really expensive. Absolutely loved that thing !!!really miss it.
Awe I totally hear that. We couldnt afford one either so even though these were junk, I loved them.
@@AMPROEngineering since I got my first job at 16 over 20yrs ago I’ve got myself whatever toys I wanted. My rc room is like many others I’ve seen so I’m not alone- more stock than a lot of hobby shops in new and used models and many new parts in packaging lol. Sadly my discontinued inventory grows each year.
Imagine having piss poor parents😂😂
@@adtjtjdjsj imagine being the parents of a kid that thinks comments like you just made are acceptable.
@@The_RC_Guru Imagine having parents that had low paying jobs and didnt try to earn more💀
And yes, making fun of the poor is okay since its their fault
I love the d21 body!
Me too!
I love both of them! The old and kid painted version and the newly restored adult painted is a great representation of where it started and where you are now! Super cool you still have them!
Thank you! Exactly! Thats why I kept the other one as it was when I painted it 30 years ago.
Nice trucks buddy! Having its 4x4 cousin I really have to get onto its restoration!
I have that too. Many plans for that one....
@AMPROEngineering ooh I'm I intrigued was going original or Mini King Cab livery but apart from missing front bumper is intact so repaint and modern electronics for mine as the controller is long gone. Got it from a friend but it is actual the one from my youth!
Very cool video I love tyco
Me too!
I love all the old tyco, nikko, radio shack and sears RCs! 😊 My friend had two lobo ii buggies that we played with after school. I wanted to get a super lobo but instead bought a rc-10 graphite in the early 90s.
Oh I know the Lobo's! My friend had a couple of them.
2:19 => I mean 3D printing might be a fancy thing to do nowadays, but the good old eraser-method is just way better in ALL regards 😁
That's the truth. I mean it did for for years and all.
Both those trucks are cool. The yellow King Cab in that old RRCA review is probably still influential to this day too.
Yeah, I totally hear that!
I’d love to find one of these. I’ve got the mini jet bandit but I’ve always wanted one of these
You can get them but good ones are getting $$$$
Awesome 🤩
Thank you!
Nice machine 😉💪
Thank you!
If you could make spindles for the tyco twin motor cars (Lambo, 962) that would be great 😅
I need to get my hands on one
Rear shock mount on my bandit is also broken off same as yours. I am trying to figure out a way to fix it. I have some nice oil shocks to put on the back when i do manage to repair it.
Episode 397 shows off a mount I made to solve it. Really simple and works great. Link in description.
A 3d print 10scale on a Grasshopper chassis would be cool?
I do have plans for that body on a wpl for a scale build!
Wish I had kept mine. I had no respect for it because I was wishing I had a Tamiya. So sad.
Awe, dont feel bad. A lot of people did. You can get them on ebay, rough ones are great to fix up!
Cool cars. Awesome restoration. Do you own a Kyosho Cosmo? That chassis is up your alley i think :)
I know the car and you are right! I weirdly do not have a single Kyosho and dont know why!
Would a wpl c24 truck body fit this chassis?
Yes, just about. I have some old nissan shells I plan on putting on the C24 chassis.
Awesome. I have a junk Super Bandit chassis i bought really cheap for parts, but the other cars dont really break and don't really need replacement parts :D Only the bumpers which i 3 d print from time to time. Gonna try to put a junker ;) car together, order myself a blue WPL body, and order some re-printed Bandit decals on it.
