  • NONE OF THE MUSIC IN THIS VIDEO IS MY OWN. 4 extra voices generated and combined in software and then output using the "oldschool" volume register digi method.
The voice data is imported from FastTracker2 .xm modules. Waveforms are 16 bytes long and 2 bits. Instruments are step-based and have a few effect capabilities (change waveform, arpeggio, portamento, vibrato, fixed pitch for drums, etc.)
Master Audio & Oscilloscope Tracks: jsidplay2 (emulated 6581 SID).
    Audio Editing: Audacity.
    Oscilloscope View: corrscope.

Very impressive, the SID keeps proving itself to be very capable, too bad for the chips that "fixed" the Digi sound output to fully enjoy this.

i swear those effect abilities have me being reminded of furnace tracker

This isn't possible in Furnace yet. Not sure if it ever will be. No one has been trying to work on adding this kind of functionality in at any rate

I get what you mean, the way pitch slides and vibrato are used in this does indeed (though subtly) resemble music in Furnace Tracker
