  • Gilbert Gottfried funniest stand up comedy in the gathering of the Juggalos. This is a Juggalos concert. Of course they're an obnoxious audience...But Gilbert Gottfried won them over because he was able to hang & manage the situation.
A juggalo is a fan of the group Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records hip hop group. Juggalos have developed their own idioms, slang, and characteristics. The Gathering of the Juggalos, alternatively known as just "The Gathering", is a notable annual festival held by juggalos and the artists that they support, which have included rap stars such as Busta Rhymes, Ice Cube, and MC Hammer; over its first eleven events the festival drew a total attendance of about 107,500 fans, averaging nearly 9,800 per year, with a peak of 20,000 in 2010.
Many characteristics of the Juggalo culture originated from in the 1980s, when Joseph Bruce (Violent J) and his family were living in poverty. He and his brother Robert received all their clothes from rummage sales, and their food from canned food drives held at their own school. Due to their poverty, the Bruce Brothers were the butt of many jokes in school. However, the brothers were not ashamed of their living standards, and instead embraced it. Joe even made a name for themselves, Floobs. According to Joe, a Floob was essentially a scrub, but not just an ordinary scrub. A Floob "wore the same old shoes and shitty clothes from rummage sales ... but ... didn't even have to be cool. Floobs turned their scrubbiness into something they could be proud of. "Though Joe only specifically names himself and his brother as Floobs, he alludes to other Floobs whom he had not met or known of, but were living in the same conditions as he and his brother; the respect that Floobs had for each other and their family-like embrace of likewise people influenced the philosophy held among Juggalos.
I love that Gilbert just launches directly into all of the most tired hack material after spending the first 3 minutes of his set gesturing. What a legend.
Crowds rough but around 19:00 G.G. realized his crowd and started having fun they enjoyed making him laugh and things become rather funny.
It doesn't matter if the jokes are ok...Gilbert just needs to start talking and the crowd will go wild. Those who have seen G.G. live, know he's one of the funniest comics out there. He's a serious pro.
Beloved comedian Gilbert Gottfried, who died on May 12, 2022, was as well known for his edgy and irreverent comedy routines as he was for lending his distinctive voice to family films like “Aladdin.” Some would call his humor tasteless, others wildly offensive but that was just the way his mind worked, the comedian said in “The Aristocrats” documentary.
His most famous joke was undoubtedly the Aristocrats, and his priceless rendition of the joke was included in documentary of the same name in which 100 comedians told the same filthy tale. He didn’t write the joke, but his version, which he first told after bombing a 9/11 joke at Hugh Hefner’s roast, is known as one of the “grossest and most wide-reaching” renditions.

There's a bit by Patton Oswalt where he talks about his stand-up gig at a casino. The patrons were so drunk he hardly does anything but stand there and say "yes" as they name shows/movies he was in, huge success. Gilbert has that here in the first few minutes.
