Confession; I did not like Norm at first. I really liked Dennis Miller. Kevin Nealan was dry (took me a while). After a few episodes I warmed up. Now, he is up there at the top for me. Such a cruel world; Norm has left and OJ still remains, sipping drinks in the shade at the Golf Course, edit; day dreaming and gloating about how he got away with it, but deserves more Love. One of Norm's jokes: "I'm not afraid of Iraq, Iran, or North Korea. The one country I'm afraid of is Germany. I don't know if you guys are history buffs, but they went to war against the entire world, TWICE, and it was CLOSE."
Not really the same without seeing his face, because his expressions were part of his delivery. His expression could make you laugh as much as the jokes. His comedy was about truth. He said it was not a good idea, or really truthful, to make fun of someone who you completely disagreed with politically. I think he was a libertarian or at least a conservative.. He was a big fan of George W. Bush. I think he also wrote a lot of the comedy for The Norn Show. I only wish he had shared with the world that he was dying of cancer. It was a shock to a lot of people.

Not a huge fan of Norm’s weekend update tenure. Where I thought Norm excelled was when he played off others, most notably Conan or ‘90’s Dennis Miller. His gift was spontaneous ad-lib humor.
