Metal bits on the magnetic are normal for transfer cases manual transmission automatic tranmission on the other hand don't like the Metal in them but that normal when 2 gears are grinding together it's gonna make something I would be worried if it came out clean lol but yeah that all good 👍 looks good from my house slap that sucker in there an run it it till it give up the goose
Those chains stretch, make sure to measure it. Depending on cost, it's probably worth it to do it for longevity.

While it's apart put a case saver in it. Will save you from having to replace the rear case half after the pump knocks pin holes in it.
