Thanks for this. A few minor pronunciation corrections. Bessborugh - usually we pronounce the “ss” as “zz” as in the “Bezz burr oh” so the “s” flows better into the “b”. Although the difference is minor. Qu’Appelle is a French word that means “Who Calls”. As such it should use the French pronunciation where the final “e” is silent. The way you say it sounds like you are saying “Qu’Appelle eh?” which might be proper “Canadian” if asking a question about it, but the “eh” would be a separate word :-)

Slow down your picture flipping. there is no time to appreciate these old pictures. I had to pause it a couple dozen times just to look at these pictures.
Many memories there from my U of S days-- but---- you should learn how to pronounce Qu'appelle. It is French for "who calls" . A Cree word. There is a Qu'appelle River and Qu'appelle Valley near Regina. Shame on you- a Canadian from the next province for making this most embarrassing mistake.

hey rick thank you so much for watching and the kind words. Are you a local? You should at the least dine at the Bess :) Hope you loved the video though, you should check out the other videos I'm doing on the grand railway hotels, new episode on the Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton on sunday :)
Awesome. well done.
thank you so much bob :)
They have high tea at that beautiful hotel in Victoria BC
Me and my mom climbed to the top once
from the outside or inside haha
@@trav4oilers inside, it was pretty cool
Always wanted to go to Saskatoon.
Now you got a reason to head down and it's cost effective! Did you see the other episodes in my series on the grand railway hotels? It's all about the railway history of canada and cities it built just like this one, I'd love to hear what you think )
Over 100 years since, and it's still the only nice building in Saskatoon (outside of the campus).
hey, not a bad problem to have. Have you got a chance to watch my other videos in the railway hotel series?
You should give a room tour. Also a hotel tour. Canada should have train service like other countries. Edmonton tore down it's railway station also.
We need more train service badly, but thanks for watching Cheryl! I'll have to get more room tours in the future for next summer :)
Aye my hometown!!
I loved visiting your hometown! Thank you so much david, Have you got a chance to watch my other videos in the railway hotel series?
Wright construction built this. Kinda a key point.
I didn't know that but great point. Hope you loved the video. This is one episode in my grand railway hotel series. I'm doing the Hotel Macdonald this sunday in Edmonton but you'll love the Fort Garry in Winnipeg video :)
Ty Trav!
Thanks for watching, do you have a favourite episode in the series so far?
Very cool
Thanks for watching Jenn :) hope you loved the video. This is one episode in my grand railway hotel series. I'm doing the Hotel Macdonald this sunday in Edmonton but you'll love the Fort Garry in Winnipeg video :)
So you were the mf I saw paddle boarding 😭😭 (totally kidding but this is so cool watching a video about my home town where I grew up in and I still live here:) )
I do work for Bessbourough, not employed by them. One day a few years ago, I was up on the 7th floor and they had a black and white dog there. I pet this dog. Fast forward a year, I’m back on the 7th floor and I asked one of the employees where the black and white dog was. She looked at me like I was crazy and said “what black and white dog”.
Maybe it's the bellman's ghost hha Thanks for watching my friend, you should check out the other episodes in my railway hotel series across canada covering the story of our country, the passenger service that no longer exists and how the railway hotels built it!
There definitely was a dog, she belonged to a guy who had an office on the south end of the 7th floor. Sometimes she would just wander into random rooms.
@@gswaan wow! I’m not crazy!
Paris of the Prairies!
I love that and will absolutely use that in the future. Did you see the other episodes in my series on the grand railway hotels? It's all about the railway history of canada and cities it built just like this one, I'd love to hear what you think )
I’m from Saskatoon and everyone says it’s haunted cause a bell boy fell down the huge flight of stairs and died at the bottom.
All the railway hotels were haunted. The stories came out in the 70's as rail service was declining. It's interesting. Hope you love the rest of the videos at the other hotels :)
Hope you enjoyed south sewage river lol
I avoided touching the water haha I'm glad you enjoyed the video! You should check out the other railway hotel videos I did across the prairies. The Fort Garry and the Palliser you'd love :)
good video
Thanks for watching man, have you seeen my other railway hotel videos? :)
Superrrr haunted. I used to work there. Daily there would be haunted stuffs
All the railway hotels are haunted.... interested ;p I'm glad you enjoyed the video! You should check out the other railway hotel videos I did across the prairies. The Fort Garry and the Palliser you'd love :)
Stayed at the Fort Gary quite a few times nice old place but the $50 breakfast buffet a person is too much
The breakfast buffet is gone! I actually did an episode on the fort garry you should check out :)
Yes! I wish I knew before i posted but always room to improve next time! Have you had a chance to check out the other episodes in my railway hotel series? I'd love to hear what you think :)
@@trav4oilers Haven’t checked them out yet but will. Someday I would like to try riding “The Canadian” on Via Rail. Especially through the mountains to Vancouver.
How are you allowed to get these drone shots when I heard Saskatoon doesn't allow any drones at all?
Hey thanks for watching man! All shots were filmed while following the rules. Hope you loved the video though, you should check out the other videos I'm doing on the grand railway hotels, new episode on the Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton on sunday :)
It’s so cute when people mispronounce Canadian things 🤓🥰
haha I'm actually canadian but I know i messed up the Qu'appelle portion :( Have you had a chance to check out the other episodes in my railway hotel series? I'd love to hear what you think :)
i worked here as a housekeeper and knowing what they wash, the amount of drugs you find as a cleaner, i dont think i can ever stay in hotels ever again, trully traumatizing, also the elevators for the workers that the public doesnt use look like they havent been changed sinve the place was made
Thats a cool story, hopefully this video brought back some good memories!
Gasp you pronounced Saskatchewan correctly. So many people say saskatcheWAN emphasizing the WAN pronouncing the A like how it is in yawn. When in reality it’s pronounced somewhere between “win” and “wun”
Hey I'm only born a few hundred KM away in Winnipeg so of course I'd pronounce it right :) thank you so much for watching, Hope you loved the video though, you should check out the other videos I'm doing on the grand railway hotels, new episode on the Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton on sunday :)
Yet he butchered Qu'Appelle 😂
there was a cn station down town!!???
YES! Midtown mall is the old CN station. Thanks for watching man and hope you love the rest of the series. Have you seen the other episodes?
Drone footage in a no fly zone?
A lot of stock footage, all shots were filmed in line with guidelines! Have you had a chance to check out the other episodes in my railway hotel series? I'd love to hear what you think :)
@@trav4oilers not yet, will finish the video later on
My mom worked at the Bezz.
Also I want to enter Ridge contest but could not.
You should be able to through the link in the description?
“You don't like pie? What is wrong with you?"
pie is pretty good
Apparently the 3rd floor is haunted
Qu’Appelle = Qua Pell
You are correct! Thank you my friend, did you enjoy the video?
I've lived in stoon for 7 years, and have never done any of this "touristy" stuff shown in this video. 🙃
@@FrAuSkY125901 well hopefully I can inspire you to try it out. Hope you loved the video! You should check out the other episode in my series :)
Someone came to Saskatoon for once
Hey I love Saskatoon, can't wait to come back again :)
I know you're Canadian, but there is no 'eh' at the end of Qu'Appelle. Just 'eL'
QUAH PEHL EH
I know i messed that one up haha thanks for watching though! I hope you enjoyed the video and get a chance to check out the other videos in the series :)
Bro let me tell you is not 9yo im stayd there be for and I live in Saskatoon and it’s like almost 100yo and I Hurd crying
I guess it depends if you believe in ghosts ;) Have you had a chance to check out the other episodes in my railway hotel series? I'd love to hear what you think :)
Europeans building Canada
Absolutely, hope you loved the video :)
Slow down your picture flipping. there is no time to appreciate these old pictures. I had to pause it a couple dozen times just to look at these pictures.

Did you enjoy the video?
Many memories there from my U of S days-- but---- you should learn how to pronounce Qu'appelle. It is French for "who calls" . A Cree word. There is a Qu'appelle River and Qu'appelle Valley near Regina. Shame on you- a Canadian from the next province for making this most embarrassing mistake.
I know :( my bad, always room to improve next time. Did you enjoy the other episodes in the series? You should check them out
And it’s shit
My experience was flawless, hope you love the other railway hotel videos I posted :)
Saskatoon is fuckin dump
I loved the city. I'm sure there are some bad things like all cities but a lot better than a lot of cities! Did you see the other episodes in my series on the grand railway hotels? It's all about the railway history of canada and cities it built just like this one, I'd love to hear what you think )
