Thank you very much for your help, I tried with a solved example of discrete variables and the answer was near but not exact regard variance. I did plug L1^2*L^2 then toke the sum and deduct it from the squared mean and the answer was exact.

When I type in the 2nd 1 * 2nd 2 Enter, I do not get a table, I get an error message, ERR: DIM MISMATCH 1: QUIT 2. GOTO, I have TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, what does this mean and how do I get the mean?
