    the amount of information you have taught me in this video compared to a whole semester of prob and stat is astronomical truly. thank you

    7:24 to see how to do this on a TI-83. Thank you.

    I have been trying to figure this out for longer than I'd like to admit. Thank you for this, you just saved me from an immense amount of frustration lol

    I want to actually hug you, this was so helpful! I have a TI-83 Plus so I was incredibly confused with my textbook's description of how to solve this on the calculator, but now I understand it was telling me how to solve on a TI-84 (but still with a fraction of the detail in which you explained it). THANK YOU :)

    Wow, I am not a Math person, but need Stats for my degree, and I had no idea how to find this on the calculator. You are great help.

    I have the older TI 84 Plus Silver version and it really helped you explaining how to get to L1,L2, I have notes that I cannot find. Thank you, well explained, was able to write good notes.

    Thank you so much. You clip is extremely helpful since I did not know what to do next with the frequency list; I am using TI-84 plus, which presents a different list from TI-83 when it comes to CALC.

    I hope you see this..
    Whenever I put in the numbers, same way, same lists, it come up with an error saying “Must be an integer” for the second list.

    • @MathandStatsHelp
      @MathandStatsHelp  Рік тому

      I've never seen that error message. You may want to try to clear your memory. Hit 2nd,+ 7 1 2 After resetting the memory, try again.

    I have a question regarding the problem you solved. As I got everything right as I follow you but I am confused when we did on calculator why n(numbers are not shown 5) it shows n=1. For each question I got n=1 whatever the question data is. Why it always show n=1?

    • @MathandStatsHelp
      @MathandStatsHelp  2 роки тому

      n is the sum of the frequencies. In this case, because it's a probability distribution, the sum of the frequencies is always 1, because that is one of the requirements of a probability distribution the sum of the probabilities has to be 1.

    Does it matter if the Ti84 converts a number in your list to scientific notation before you get the final answer?

    Thank you. All the other videos were on the basic TI 84 and skipped the step of enter into the FreqList! I had trouble finding your video, because it does not say TI-84 Plus

      No problem. The steps are just a bit different on the TI-84 Plus. Without it, I was stuck. Thanks again!!

    For a distribution table bigger than 2 list, would you have to use 2-Var stat on your calculator & put in the frequency list the other columns of #s?

    • @MathandStatsHelp
      @MathandStatsHelp  4 роки тому

      2-var stats is used when you are comparing two different variables. Sometimes textbooks can't fit all of the information into one column, so without seeing the problem, it's hard to say.

    • @iPurrifyy
      @iPurrifyy 4 роки тому

      Math and Stats Help so like if there’s an x & y variables and an f(x) & f(y) you use 2-Var stats ?

    • @MathandStatsHelp
      @MathandStatsHelp  4 роки тому

      Yes, more likely in statistics instead of being listed in the problem as x and y, it might be listed as heights of males in the US and heights of males in Kenya. That would be two variables that you are comparing to see if there is a difference.

    • @iPurrifyy
      @iPurrifyy 4 роки тому

      Math and Stats Help ok perfect. Just making sure cuz some of the problems in my book/hw had x&y variables & f(x) & f(y). One of the problems they gave us x & f(x) but we had to find Y & f(y) and it was somewhat confusing
