Good to see the old girls getting worked on.
I like that the RM is capturing the early 80s era of RM service. Too many are obsessed with the 60s era.
Been on a couple of RT family buses last weekend for Barking Garage 100. One was the Leyland chassis variant, which I think was a first for me and rather impressed with it, The AEC one needs to me engine attention and some gearbox.driveshaft clunk was a little too evident

Brilliant just found the new channel
Excellent explanations from Tim - you can tell he knows his stuff. What kind of timber is/was used for bus bodywork?
Mainly Ash framed
Know nothing about buses but subscribed anyway! Really enjoyed it! 👍
November 67 I was in the works my mum was 3 months pregnant with me 😊,I was taken back by how thin some of the wood framing was who made the body was it Park Royal ,saunders or weymann all the best
Mark 😊
An RT is actually steel frames so the wood is essentially for screwing the panels to. All of the above plus mcw built the bodies although only rtl's got mcw bodies.
Come on boys let see moor. Video good luck to everyone and tim
Great stuff guys, I think those fabricated brackets would be of interest to a lot more RT owners, have you explored this.
I didn’t know I liked buses untill now

Love the videos I only just subscribed to the channel I have watch the hubnut videos
I never knew there was so much wood on an RT.
Thatis good. Do you know Pete and his bus? He works on Routemasters so may be able to help if you needed help.
