I'm convinced we had the same Java professor based on your description at 55:30. He made us comment every method, variable, class, and he was very particular with spelling and grammar. We had to print out the programs on paper, and have him grade them by hand. Every exam we had to write syntactically correct programs in pencil. It also nearly impossible to get an A in the course because his philosophy was nobody is perfect and there is always room to improve, and he had us call him by his first name. Not a bad class in the end, just tedious at times. Now that I'm a software engineer, we certainly do comment but the goal is to write self-documenting code (Descriptive naming, well organized code). Anyway, love your content man, good luck with everything and keep smashing those world records!
Awesome run and congrats on the record! As a side note, you'll appreciate the obsessive commenting if you ever have to work with others codding. If you can give your code to anyone on the street and they can read it as if it were a book (i.e. the comments) understanding each step, then you've done well!
University CS professors love to force you to comment your code extremely thoroughly. The truth is, nobody does that in real life. But it does serve a purpose in uni. It's a way for your professors to gauge your progress and see if you truly understand your own code. Granted, there are plenty of professors who choose not to use that information. But if you're struggling and ask your professor for help, they will have your own documented code to help pinpoint where the source of your troubles are. So while it does seem excessive, I do think it's a good idea for students to do. For the most part, good code is self-documenting and doesn't need comments. Comments are best used to explain a decision the programmer made, or to provide documentation for an API to set expectations for consumers of the API. Also, great run!
I LITERALLY watched this run last night and I'm still impressed by it. I'm not sure about it myself but is it possible to get this route even more optimized than it already is?
Slykeren I’m assuming the same way he has all the keys already, modifying his file and giving himself all that, idk how he does it but if I did it I’d prob see if there are action replay codes
Only a couple of days later and the run went down by 7 minutes -- staggering If you're enjoying comments, you're really going to 'enjoy' UML diagrams and theory ; paper exams are for self reinforcement so you have practice with a set of principles that you can apply and adjust to circumstances better in the field
@@thealmanancy9020 Reason being that original OOT doesn't have the quit back to title screen option like the 3D version does. There's a glitch that allows for BiT, known as a blue hole death warp. In theory, the same glitch properties can be done in original. However, because you can't quit back to title screen in original, BiT doesn't work.

Oh hey wr!
-one day later-
Oh hay wr!
Lukemander the scarecrow at lake hylia is making puns on the last line
Dissecting Link's roll. Now I know why he's called Gymnast.
Thank you for you dedication on runs. Gives me something to watch on UA-cam. Appreciate it so much Gym ☺️
I was fully expecting him to say that the run sucked, shocker

‘very good’?! ‘VERY GOOD’?! the MUSIC at the end of this game has got to be one of BEST THINGS MY EARS HAVE EVER HEARD!!
Grats on the world record dude! Your my favorite streamer!
Congrats, Gymnast! You're making me more and more interested in this game!
Haven't even finished the last one and yet here we are. You work fast man. Congrats!
Lol I thought this was the same video as the previous one until I looked at when it was uploaded
I like his style! He’s practising to do this category blindfolded. Pretty good too, only looking up at cutscenes to make sure he knows where he’s at.

Congrats on such a low time so fast! :D
Gymnast is on the grind for more world records, POG
Yes! This is exactly what I wanted to happen!
How did I not realize until JUST NOW that the poes also steal the flames in the Arbiter's Grounds in Twilight Princess?
Was so hype watching this live 🔥
Ayyy World Record pog
Is he still running this category alone?
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
2 days in a row? Nice nice nice!
I don’t care. He rolls over his spine because he’s the hero of time and because it’s poggers.
14:50 His feet are barely moving, yet he’s going faster than he can (without glitches). 😳
Does anyone else think gymnast always looks so fucking serious?

Also, great run!
well done my friend, so good
Everything about being in Castle town as adult with child Castle town daytime at night is off... Mad mojo I tell ya
Good work!
I don't really like to watch runs of this game, but I mainly watch for your voice. Is that weird? I don't know, it's kinda soothing to listen to.
Damn let’s go Gym
That was a very poor imitation of Link’s falling cry, it’s more like ‘WaaAAAGHGHAAAAGHGHaaaAGHGH!!!’
woah that was quick lol
Do you have a specific goal in mind for this category or just keep grinding?
does Ganon's tower not count as a dungeon in this run?
I LITERALLY watched this run last night and I'm still impressed by it. I'm not sure about it myself but is it possible to get this route even more optimized than it already is?
idk but isn't this a new route, it probably can get optimized lots
HYPE
Bout time, lad!
OoT 3D is so much better than the original imo. Though I guess there wouldn't be a 3d without it lol.
Congrats on the WRs.
I mean, pretty much. it is oot except not held back by the technical problems of the n64 with only minor things being worse
Isn’t that brain malformity where the skull is to big for the brain my friend has it too
I feel you. My teacher is really strict about commenting on our programs. We have to comment goddamn everything.
Lol my teacher's the opposite; he didn't even *mention* comments until someone brought it up
How did he get the hoverboots, hammer and all the other stuff
Slykeren I’m assuming the same way he has all the keys already, modifying his file and giving himself all that, idk how he does it but if I did it I’d prob see if there are action replay codes
there a new skip or something? Or just felt an OoT3D itch lately
The 3d version looks like its held together with duct tape
Amazing
Do you think you can shave off a few more seconds, like, is the run as optimized as it can be? Are you going to continue running it?
It's possible that the run could be done better. He did mention that it's a new route. Probably a couple of routing errors here and there.
13:18 How is that even possible?! How could Impa do that?!
Hope u get 30k subs after this vod dude

The non 64 versions are so weird looking to me lol
that is because they are. but it still is objectively better looking overall with better texturemapping, modells, more modells, etc.
Question: does oot have a back in time?
OOT original? No. OOT3D? Yes.
@@SumTr011 huh

Damn, your just slightly older than me. I don't turn 22 till the end of July.
sub 1:15 when
10:40 You have the exact same 3DS as me!
Gg's
What was the previous wr?
Shadowflame Lightburst gym’s previous run
His own as of a day or two ago. That one had some issues but the new route was good enough that it didn't matter. Now he's refining it.
Rork310 ok, I thought this was that last run for some reason, thought it was a re upload
You said you're turning 22 in a couple months. Pretty crazy cuz I'm turning 22 on March 19th!
Good luck!
(now please thank me for that)
Hi daddy
Nice hacks
ikr, he's blatantly aimbotting. sent this to blizzard.
Bro you might be going a bit too fast chill
Like dude just slow down, it’s not like he’s in a rush or anything
Allah be praised
