Table Saw Fence Alignment

Thanks for the clear instruction. I’m just starting with woodworking and bought a table saw and the same saw guage recently. I was looking for the way to use and adjust, and you showed the how.

I replaced a General fence with a Steel City industrial one and have nothing but problems. First the fence body was bent and they replaced it but the saw still cuts erratically. Arbor run out is less than .001in.
Using an I-gaging alignment tool I zeroed the fence to one table slot and get .028 in difference from the other one!
Took the rail off and it's bent; so much that it can be seen by eye. The result is that every time the fence is moved the alignment changes.
Another trip to the dealer; hopefully they replace it.
Other....the rail material is so thin that when I clamp the fence in place it pushes the side of the rail in and the clamp is as loose as possible.
