I've had most of these symptoms slowly coming on since I was 14 or 15, and I'm now 53! My father just died of vascular dementia, and had been behaving increasingly-weirdly for years. I had some kind of test for vascular dementia a couple of years ago, but apparently it came back negative.
A few years ago, I think it was a little bit before or after my step grandpa died from Alzheimer’s and I found out that when I was younger I would call him grandpa because even tho he wasn’t my dad’s dad, he loved my grandma so they were fine with it, I found out I had to stop calling him grandpa when I was 7 which explains why I don’t remember ever calling him that, it was because when I was 7 he was driving and he got into a car accident because he got lost but didn’t know he didn’t know where he lived and my parents knew I wouldn’t take it well to bring forgotten so not calling him grandpa would soften the blow
