I just don’t want to maintain stuff anymore. I have a business, a campsite, and a home; so it’s just too much work. I am not minimalist but would prefer minimal work since I get very little help. I find it easier to clean with less stuff to move. I still have quite a few jewelry, tarot cards, and other items like candles, and I’ve gotten rid of plants to maintain!!! It’s not always just about not falling for consumerism.
I have containers for stuff in pantries to make it easier to clean and to limit quantities coming in. My husband is a shopper so I have to set limits or my house wouldn’t breathe. He needs stuff and forgets he already had them. I was looking for a wall hanger for a certificate and couldn’t find it as he has stuff scattered all over the house so that’s why I’m going through this process. He had superglue in pharmacy. Yep that is my dilemma, not lifestyle of minimalism but reducing to know what we have, where it’s at and easy maintenance.

Hey there, thanks for sharing your situation! It sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, and I totally understand wanting to simplify your home environment to make things easier. While minimalism isn't your goal, minimizing clutter and maximizing organization definitely is. Which is actually great and I wish you tons of luck with that. Hope some of my vids will be helpful for you in the future :)

"the things you own end up owning you" Fight Club (movie) as quoted in Fumio Sasaki's book "Goodbye Things".

Very well noted, my friend 👍🏻 The only difference is we choose self-development instead of self-destruction like they did in the "Fight Club" 😂

@@nikitsol actually I have never seen the movie, I only know the quotes in Sasaki's book (which I have listened to at least a dozen times)

@@ros8986 just so you know, the movie is worth giving a shot. It touches upon the topic of consumer society pretty straight forward. But, anyways, the Sasaki's book is good stuff too, so I cannot but agree with you :)

    Any tip?!
We are family of 3, a kid and is. We have to work atleast for 10 years before we retire.
    So what’s better?
A tiny minimal apartment in city to avoid commutance time
Or an outskirt with slow life and minimal again but 2 hrs extra for travel.
We cannot afford independent house but apartment in city
But outskirts yes a spacious house cheap but again travel for one takes toll.
I considered pros and cons yet unable to decline as I don’t know how I’ll feel once I move to city apartment and experience the other side of coin.

Tough choice! Depends on priorities. Consider short-term rentals in both areas to test the waters! But my personal choice would be living in the small city appartment before retiring. I think it is better for you and the kids - more people around, more stuff to do and everything is way easier to access if you need to solve some problems.
