Mel Brooks was a pretty hip guy for a 50 year old. 4 years after the first rap song was released and he was familiar enough to write his own rap song - and it's great.
Well that is understandable why he was fighting against the Nazis considering all of the horrible things that they did to Jewish people like him. He was innitally a pacifist but he eventually decided to get involved in ww2 to stop Hitler and his Nazi allies from killing Jewish people.
I can’t speak for Eminem, but his raps have a heavy anti-authoritarian message. I imagine he and Brooks would be more likely to collab than rap against each other.
Dude, Mr. Brooks is not only Jewish but literally fought the Nazis during WWII, I'm pretty sure the man's got more than every right to make fun of and Insult Hitler and the Nazis as he sees fit! And this Rap is just Pure Gold!
So you think I am a 'dude'? From the 1870s to the 1960s, dude primarily meant a male person who dressed in an extremely fashionable manner (a dandy) or a conspicuous citified person who was visiting a rural location, a "city slicker". I find it offensive and outdated, but forgivable. 🙂However, I do know all that about Mel Brooks and he is one of my favourite American comedians, and his wife Ann Bankroft was also one of my favourites in movies. I think the problem is that you did not understand my post, or I wasn't clear enough. I was speaking of his age when I said only Mel Brooks would get away with that. Yep, I'm old, too, so I definitely remember seeing it on Night Traxx on TBS (Before Ted Turner built his gargantuan empire). They played music videos all night long and I was in high school so my best friend and I would lie on the huge sectional in the living room and watch videos until we fell asleep. During about a three month span in 1983 this video would play once every hour or so. Except for the Argentinian part this is basically just an accurate recap of history clothed as a rap. I wonder if the guys from "Epic Rap Battles of History" got their inspiration from this.
Many Nazis who escaped did escape there and Uruguay. Look up ratlines. One who escaped was Adolf Eichmann, but he was captured and executed in Israel in 1962.
You sure? Because they've never found any trace of Hitler's remains. All the accepted history is based on testimony from Hitler's lackeys, and Soviet sources. Neither of which can be considered reputable sources.
Stalin couldn't admit that he lost Hitler, so a silly story about Hitler committing suicide was concocted. Hitler and his top people escaped to Argentina where they agreed to keep a low profile and develop Argentine industry. Kurt Tank, Nazi aircraft designer that designed the FW-190, a high ranking Nazi party member was instrumental in developing Argentina's aircraft manufacturing industry. The rest of the allies were more then happy to pretend the Nazis in south America didn't exist as their presence helped deter communist expansion into the Americas.
Mel Brooks was amazing when he made fun of the Nazis. I remember on American Masters when he said when he and his brother where in Europe during the war they would make jokes about Hitler and the rest of the cast of idiots around him. I love the idea of Hitler seeing a Jewish man parody him like this; he'd turn in his grave--if he had one, (I guess the charred remains of his skull in a Russian museum would turn)...
I was curious so I looked it up. The KGB scattered Hitler’s ashes in some secret place in the wilderness, specifically so it wouldn’t become a pilgrimage site for neo-nazis. The last thing the Russians would do with the remains is put them on display. And the bone fragments being DNA tested and seemingly being female might be because some of Eva Braun’s bones were mixed in with Hitler’s, or just a mistake. Or maybe Hitler had gender chimerism, there’s a lot of explanations.
It's better musically than 99.999% of the music that came out in 1983 otherwise, and absolutely 1,000,000,000,000% better than anything being made now.
