I read a comment on one of Joes videos and it was.."trees and water are so hard to paint," well...if one knows the structure and various kinds of trees ...study them...same as water...know the anatomy of a wave...how and why foam is formed...thanks Joe for sharing all your knowledge...having your full lessons is so worth it and thanks for taking the time in making them...as well as sharing all the important aspects of each subject...he's the real deal...no artists share their knowledge...and many don't even know themselves...they paint trees and rocks using black..oh I can go on and on about this..but fighting with myself to stop...again if you really want to become good and have a passion for landscapes...the ocean and more..Joe has a full lesson an many subjects ...study and really listen to what he says...paint on...
Thank you so much for your lessons! I have improved so much because of your videos. When ever I get stuck, I watch some of your work and I always seem to find the answer I need from you.
Thanks for this, I’m pregnant and I want to do my son’s nursery with an underwater theme similar to finding Nemo. I’ve watched countless tutorials and this is the only one I’ve watched that has made the ocean seem less intimidating to paint!
This is amazing! Trying to use this method for an underwater painting I'm doing but I'm just stuck on the bright white light peaking through the waves. Any suggestions of how to get that effect?
Thank you so much for posting this! I'm trying to work on paintings with a water theme and wasn't sure how to go about it! I was wondering what color ratio did you use for the tan or is that a compilation of all the spare colors? And is what your using acrylic paint or house paint? Keep being up the Amazing work
I would say acrylic, see no turpentine, stand oil, or thinners on his work table. What brand? maybe outdoor grade acrylic for weather and lightfastness. I teach art but not sure what the best acrylic brands are though.

What are you painting on? Board or sheetrock? Cant tell
Are these acrylics or oils? (I’m assuming oils but I want to be sure)
I may have missed it. What kind of paint are you using?
I would say acrylic, see no turpentine, stand oil, or thinners on his work table.
What brand? maybe outdoor grade acrylic for weather and lightfastness.
I teach art but not sure what the best acrylic brands are though.

Also what colors did you use for the bottom?
Beige
Hello! Do you ever paint using acrylic paint vs house paint, if so when? Thank you
:D
I wonder What kind of board u Got?
I like thay he doesn't make it step by step so we actually learn about the color choices and blending aso we develope our own techniques
That helped me so much, thank you. :)
How long did it take you to actually paint all this?
where do you get these large canvases?
I like the ratio lesson: easy to understand.
Which color do you use for the bottom? It looks like white but must have some... brown? what is that sand-color?
i think its Beige
you can get it out of brown if you add a small amount of yellow and white ( How i do it but im a noob)
Anyone know if he uses acrylic or oil?
Emily Bagnall acrylic with oil you do not need to wet it and it doesn't dry fast
Dear Mr. Joe, what kind of green do you use for this paint?
delabido He mixed 99% of his colors from primaries. I would guess it is just his usual blue and yellow mixed 1:1.
What size canvas are u using??
such frail arms, such powerful paintings..
oil or acrylic?
acrylic
Are you using acrylics or oils.

My husband would kill me if I was as messy as you lol which I am but thankfully I put like 100 towels under me when I paint 😅
