Ingredients for making homemade pound cake:
3 eggs room temperature
3 tbsp (45ml) milk, room temperature
1 tbsp (15ml) vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups (150 grams) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon (4 grams) baking powder
1/4 teaspoon (1 gram) salt
3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated white sugar
1tsp lemon zest
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, at room temperature

Yes any kind of frosting.
I put rum or brandy or extract.
It is delicious.
Try and see how you like it.

If you don't have sugar, you can powdered sugar or brown sugar.

If you are short on butter.
Then you can put 1 stick butter ,1 cup shortening.
I prefer all butter.
What isn't good with butter?

How can a flavor ingredient be substituted with milk or oil?

@@SS-ex4bp idk about flavour tbh, if anything vanilla essence/extract(I know they're different but they can be used interchangeably) just adds a je nais se quois(I'm butchering the spelling here but you catch me drift) to the dish, and a slight one at that. I'm only saying to substitute it with milk or oil to keep the cake as moist as the recipe creator intended.

1 TBS of vanilla extract it can also be imitation vanilla (the real stuff just adds more flavor)
