These and the Nuo Evo1 are probably the two most interesting pedals from smaller manufacturers out there.

I’ve been running these pedals now for almost 2 years and they are fantastic overall, like you said the build quality is amazing.
The throttle spring failed for me after 14 months or so and this seems to be a common issue but like you, I wanted a firmer spring anyway. There is an online spring store that has a direct replacement that is the correct size but firmer spring and it makes the throttle perfect. (Lee Spring part no: LC 091K 07 M)
Additionally there is a company in NZ who sells a spring kit if you want to run springs in your brakes instead of the elastomers. These really give the brake a more consistent and solid feel.
These two spring mods really take the kit to the next level.
Regarding the knob to adjust the gain for the brake, it would have made more sense for this to be something that you could plug in and mount on your rig somewhere. I know there are a few owners who have DIY’d that and makes it more usable. Setting it to the max spot that you will actually brake to does give you more resolution in the braking output.

@Sephv1, I followed your advice and ordered the throttle spring (already had NZ Brake Springs installed). How did you remove the throttle spring?

We worked with Simtrecs to make a better damper on the brake. The one you have is their v1 version.
Your review is of their v1 version which is well over 1 year old.
Also the fitting on the clutch pedal potentiometer is now fixed on the pedal so you won’t have issues of it coming off.
The new ones are a fixed damper and the adjustment level is made via an arrangement of mounting holes on the brake pedal. Just like how you adjust the throttle stiffness.
So now they are perfectly smooth.

There's a company that adds rumble motors with some 3D printed parts to VRS, VX-Pro and other brand's pedals. Have you ever tried them?
People say elastomers feels more like a real brake than a spring. Probably springs are faster, they don't relax and are consistent.

I live mine, had for about a year, no adjustable brake dampener. I went with Barry Manon (MRP) springs and they’re great for trail braking. As far as the dial on the throttle, it’s more for making the pedal softer or harder. I’ve got many profiles so easy to change

  • @Theoloop
    @Theoloop 8 місяців тому +1

I’ve had these for two years. I put an aftermarket spring on the throttle that gives more resistance and Manon springs for the brake. They have been flawless. They’re a set it and forget it deal, super dependable. My only critique so far are the small connectors for the pedals, especially the clutch, as well as a frightenly thin USB cable

Simtrecs have always been my favorite looking pedals. At these price ranges of course the feeling and performance is the absolute priority, but the biggest part of users that spend these amounts of money also look for something that looks like the real deal. Less anodized colors, rgb, etc.

  • @Hexadeci

Dan, I did in fact break the cord off my clutch. It might have been user error..we will never know. Simtrecs replaced it. Service wasn’t amazing to be honest. I do love the pedals regardless. It’s pretty much the only flaw I’ve identified after a year. I would also extend the clutch and brake cord length or change the type of cord altogether.

Dan Suzuki pedal review, yeeey. 1000 Euros, noooo. Hahaha. You tested both the Simgrade VX-Pro and the Simagic P1000 with the haptic motors, which one would you prefer? The spring design of the Simgrade with a firm throttle looks so appealing, but you said the haptics in the Simagic are really good. But I don't fully trust Simagic to be on par with the VRS or Simgrade in terms of break feel irregarding of the haptics, and heard the throttle is really light.
Sorry for spamming you with pedal questions, but I ordered my wheelbase and rim already and can't decide on the pedals, so many options, appreciate your videos and opinion. If I wait for your Simagic or P1 Mistral reviews, I have no pedals until then.

@@simaddict6676 In the review, he did not have them mounted on his rig, which likely indicates he did not recently use them. Also, in his video about the SimGrade Thera---which is over a year old---he said this to a comment asking where the Simtrecs review is: "... wrote the Script already - just need to find the time to actually film it".
