I remember the Revenge of the Sith DVD had this scene as a loop for some of its menus. I believe the other scene it sampled was of Palpatine looking at recordings before the Jedi walked in. Honestly, it's a shame such extravagent themed menus like that aren't really a thing anymore. :/
I love the prequels but I hate that this is pretty much all the action we got in order 66. So much potential and the directors just chose not to give us more action.
Fun fact in a comic novelization of the story of when Obi-Wan and Yoda they went into the Jedi Temple they actually snuck around and we're just killing clones left and right and squads of clones were literally finding less Jedi bodies and more clone bodies around the Jedi Temple and eventually what we see in this scene was obi wan and yoda decided to heck with stealth and did a frontal attack slaughtering dozens to the point where there was no more reinforcements
I have doubts only two Jedi master took down the 501st like it was nothing,,but when the troops n Anakin attack then temple fill with hundred of Jedi knight and Padawan
I have to admit that I felt sorry for the clone trooper who suddenly had Yoda's lightsaber pierce his armour plated chest, he just fell ground lifeless...if the Jedi order had been more concentrated in one area instead spread throughout the galaxy, I know that Palpatine's Order 66 would have failed miserably
Haven’t watched the Clone Wars and have no immediate plans to. I don’t need it to tell me what I already know. Obi-Wan and Yoda were made of slightly sterner stuff than the average Jedi, and even the elite 501st Legion couldn’t handle them with any degree of success.
*For the nerds*: Slow motion zoom in 0:04 and you can see Obi-Wan's fight (clone#1 in distance fires 2 shots. 1st shot he deflects it to clone#2 just outside of melee range. 2nd gets immediately sent-back-to-sender clone#1. Then uses the back swing from that to cut down clone#3, all in one spin of his lightsaber ). Then after zoom in on Yoda, lifts his hand to casually Force-Push 3 clones like bowling balls 😂.
Yea let's run towards the Jedi that have laser swords meant for melee combat while we have ranged weapons that have a tactical advantage at range... I think these clones failed their final exam on Kamino...
I had a realization that a lot of time where lightsabers kill regular bad guys it's usually just through impalement or slashes on the chest or back and there's no dismemberment outside of significant villains or heroes. The one exception seems to be the battle droids who get sliced up, the two clones who tried to kill Yoda on Kashyyyk and got their heads lopped off, and that one clone who gets his arm chopped off. I assume this is because they're CGI constructs it's much easier to have bodies chopped up than if you have actual actors whereas the special effects needed would be trickier.
@@emmitthomas6941 I know, that's what I'm saying, the clones and battle droids are CGI constructs so presumably it was less work to do dismemberment/beheadings for them.

You can look up the deleted scene version of the fight and you will see there as well that George had Yoda as the superior force wielder in mind. He simply dialed back Yoda’s force abilities for this though so the gap wasn’t as large.
@@asherpikesgoldenmoralcinem5770 that is correct and yoda is indeed more powerful in the force which also makes darth sidious powerful as well being able to withstand yoda’s quick movements with the lightsaber or n flat ground yoda would win but yoda indeed walked away from the fight non victorious because of the fact he did not defeat darth sidious and yoda himself conforms he failed.
Is this a deleted scene, or something fan made, or a directors cut? because I don't remember this scene being in ROTS.

Yoda and obi wan😐
Poor clones
True! Obi-Wan and Yoda kill all their clones during Order 66.
Lama Su: Magnificent aren't they?
Yoda & Obi Wan: Not so much.
I remember the Revenge of the Sith DVD had this scene as a loop for some of its menus. I believe the other scene it sampled was of Palpatine looking at recordings before the Jedi walked in.
Honestly, it's a shame such extravagent themed menus like that aren't really a thing anymore. :/
I miss the violence

RotS is the most gruesome SW movie and I’m here for it.
@@Sentinel4002 They're cool with drag queens dancing for kids but not a few CG limbs being cut off? Suspicious.
The clones haven't fought against Grandmaster Yoda and Master Kenobi...remember Kenobi slayed Grievous before Order 66 went down.

The reason this fight scene is so good because it’s STORY DRIVEN. Still 1000x better than any shit fight scene from the sequel trilogy.
Alright this is kind of absurd over hatred of the sequel trilogy at this point.

I love the prequels but I hate that this is pretty much all the action we got in order 66. So much potential and the directors just chose not to give us more action.
Yeah, unfortunately the movie was too long
rip to all the 501st troopers who were killed during order 66 in the jedi temple they will all be honored.
Obi wan and yoda, gave them the honorable deaths the clones deserve.
I really wish we got more of them fighting off clones

" on a 35 kill streak I am"- Yoda
imagine its your first day as a clone trooper and you get obliterated by Yoda
Moron just copied the top comment
“The Jedi are pacifists”
Also the Jedi: 0:08
Bayverse Optimus Prime: Welcome to the party pal
Who said the Jedi are pacifists? They're warrior monks who train in hand-to-hand combat in order to defend the innocent (and corrupt republics).
Hey Mundi.... Yoda had 7 more soldiers on him, whats your excuse?
I have to admit that I felt sorry for the clone trooper who suddenly had Yoda's lightsaber pierce his armour plated chest, he just fell ground lifeless...if the Jedi order had been more concentrated in one area instead spread throughout the galaxy, I know that Palpatine's Order 66 would have failed miserably
Why feel sorry for the clone, he murdered jedi
Poor clones tho
They didn't have souls.
Clones who gunned down children.
clones arent real people
Haven’t watched the Clone Wars and have no immediate plans to.
Noone payed much attention to this scene of Yoda and Obi Wan killing the clones until season 7 of TCW happened.
Knights defending the Galactic Republic and the rule of law.
Besides being the most powerful jedi at that time, it also helps that Yoda is a very small and very fast target.

They needed to see some real Star Wars to wash the bad taste out of their mouth.
It’s a pinch technique. They use it to limit a response time to deflect or evade. They do it in real life, in the movie they did it to take the temple
All Jedi knight died like tin can
I know we’re in a newer era of Star Wars now but I’ll always think of Yoda over Luke when I hear Grandmaster 😂
00:07 that was savage
It’s actually really sad because they would literately be like having to kill your coworkers….
Yea let's run towards the Jedi that have laser swords meant for melee combat while we have ranged weapons that have a tactical advantage at range... I think these clones failed their final exam on Kamino...

0:10 bro died the most painfully
Ahsoka: Those men may be willing to die, but I am not going to kill them.
Yoda: LoL, screw that noise, I will.
Maybe those clones would do better if they were trying to keep distance instead of running to enemy specialized in melee combat
Could legit watch this all day.
If yoda and kenobi were at the temple during 66 it would have been light work.
Ahsoka: I’m not hurting any of these clones.
Yoda: Seem to understand, you don’t. Yours to control, the Republic is not.
