You obviously have seen the value in these videos as the quality has gotten even better with the layout and other graphics and possibly a wider angle lens. Well done.
It's really hard to believe the age of this boat. Immaculate. The engine room, my favourite part, looked new!! Also loved the little location marker in the bottom right corner. That's brilliant and I imagine even more so for larger boat tours.
Ulbre: Thank you. This boat was well prepared by the owners to bring to market, detail and effort to keep it clean which, of course, creates a positive impression and desire for the buyer - who is out loving her on his own adventures
Excellent job presenting a nice boat! The layout diag during the tour is a great idea! I also love the 3d presentations, unfortunately the commenting is off there.
Guitar: Thank you very much for your nice comment. The 360s are really for the "diehards" and compared to a Talk Through, they are simple/basic which leads to poor reviews //:0) I'm in San Diego with the new owner today doing some orientation - interesting timing on your part, tapping this out from the saloon!
As someone who hopes to get into the market for an east coast boat in this range, this is a whole lot of boat for the money. Size is right in the sweet spot for a moderately experience couple to take pretty much anywhere. Does it have a back up camera or just rely on marriage-saver headsets? Super thorough tour by a guy that knows his stuff, thanks for taking us aboard.
Tons of room for a 43' boat. Looks to be obsessively clean and maintained as well, once you get past about 3 years old and the new wears off, the condition of the boat really reflects the owner who kept her up. I'd much rather have this 18 year old Nordhavn(where the previous owner spent $$$ to keep her tip top) vs a newer 2010's boat where the owner spent no money and there is a bunch of deferred maintenance/problems despite her looking more glamorous/up to date.
I always look forward to these walk-through tours. My wife and I had a chance to look at hull #2 or #4 ( MV Freedom on YT is #3 ) in Jensen Bch Fl. several years ago and CAYENNE seems to be very well taken care of, plus it has a flybridge! Your headroom measurements seem very accurate, I could stand in the center of the Salon but only on the center-line. This might be a great boat for normal size people. Again. great presentation - Thanks Jeff. P.S. quick question. Is headroom measured at center, sides, or averaged between the two?
Astrodiver: Thank you, yes, the 43 is a great design. Headroom measurements are always approximate (sometimes there is carpet on the floor) and i usually take my measurements near the middle of the room, so they do vary.
Wasn't Egret a 43? It has been a long time since I followed the Flanders but it is safe to say they are responsible for my interest in Nordhavn and you Jeff with the Motor Sailer videos. I really like this little boat. I see a lot of potential here. Fix the water tanks, full service, update the electronics and I would be an exploring happy camper. I particularly like the fins and fish. Alaska here I come. Bring her back after a year in the North West, service her, then ship her to the east coast. Then I will start a 3 or 4 year exploration of the Bahamas, Caribbean, and left coast of the US. Who knows maybe even the great loop. Yes, she has potential. Just a year or so too early. Darn.
Ron: Egret was (and still is!) a Nordhavn 46. Cayenne has done the Loop and really has some excellent equipment. You can improve any boat you buy, but you don’t have to do much here.
Had me sold...until he said he'd take me across the border to Ensenada and...get me back. When did getting home from a test drive become a selling point? Joking of course, another fine boat and video.
S: Thank you. I appreciate the joke, a lot of people seem to be worried about crossing the border and I don’t blame them. I am comfortable with this and have done it many times so I was trying to alleviate any concern. Thanks for watching!
@@JeffMerrillYachts Glad you saw my humor--last time I was in Ensenada my older brother brought back a "hitchhiker" or two. That was back in about 1973 and we still laugh about it after all these years.
Not familiar with this kind of exhaust system. Is it safe to say a lot of oily smoke comes out the stack? If not what happens to the exhaust? Beautiful boat. Right size but want to operate on the east coast.
Tom: More commonly used by commercial fishing boats for reliability. Yes, the soot has to go somewhere, it's a trade off. This boat and her sisterships have been all over the east coast. I built one for a couple who circumnavigated.
Aram: From the pilothouse you descend a stairway to a landing. You can head aft to the owner/head/engine room or forward to the guest/head. I think the layout illustrates this. Thanks for your question.
Matthew: Definitely can share more with the talk through, but some people like the 360 to see the entire room. The two compliment each other, but the 360 is not as educational or entertaining.
Wayne: Short answer is, Why not? Fins are convenient. Paravanes are a great back up for redundancy and have the added advantage of working while at rest.
Dean: I've been involved in several Selene 43 sales and like them just fine. Too many points to summarize in a quick reply. If you would like to go into more detail please email me directly, Jeff@JMYS.com. Thanks!
Todos los videos que veo me dejan más incógnitas que soluciones. Intento ver las imágenes y está todo tapado por la publicidad de abajo, los datos que van exponiendo y el plano de la embarcación (absurdo, porque todos sabemos por donde va a cada momento). Nice starter yacht for somebody just getting into it. It was very beautiful boat.

How did this 43 do the great loop with the dry stack?
Paul: The mast is hinged to be lowered and the dry stack can un-couple to go below the restrictive bridges. Not every Nordhavn 43 was set up this way.
Why both fin stabilizers and paravanes?
