It's definitely on the smaller side for Nordhavn in terms of volume, but the design team did a great job with the new, sleek look. I'm hoping they come out with a 57 or 54 in the refreshed style to give a proper third room.
I love a Nordhavn. It's probably my choice of yacht if I had the money. I like the go anywhere with them. Thank you as always for taking us on a tour of her Nick
It’s a shame modern yachts have lost that rich wood of classic yachts , it all seems a bit hotel lobby without any character. It is a superb boat but prefer the older interiors .
Lovely!! And I thought for a minute that we weren't going to get a mirror wave in this edition, but right as I was about to huff and puff in disbelief, there it was haha
I just love Nordhavn, these are the "Tonka" toy of the ocean, built like a tank and will never fail you. Even though this is a smaller size it is not compromised anywhere in quality or space, great flow and layout to it and as always the engine room is brilliant. Great tour as always Nick thank you.
If I ever I win the lottery a Nordhaven is on my wish list! I have been following the 51’s hull number one on UA-cam she was purchased by a New Zealand couple, built in Turkey and their vlogs are showing them sail the boat back to New Zealand. The vlogs include a lot of the build of the boat if it’s something your interested in look for Arwanui NZ.
Norahavn is such a well known yacht brand, and exploring yacht. For old and young sailors, family boats, time explore at your own speed. If you want to stay longer in the bay long fine. She is a lovely boat with plenty of storage, plenty of space, comfortable with safety in mind. Norahavn 51 is enough for 4 people to sail around the world. I like her very much.
Love a "Little ship" Nordhavn, thought most new builds were going away from those silly double action door and draw catches, they would drive me mad. Another great video Nick, thanks.
Fantastic Nordhavn. A lovely explorer yacht. Thanks Nick. Just to say great to see you twice on Sunday. In the afternoon after your midday video, Loon released their Monaco entrance into the yacht show. Watching then you suddenly appeared this time being interviewed by Capt Paul. Excellent.
The N51 is the smallest model of the new Nordhavn generation that has the classic Nordhavn vibe. The N41 is gorgeous but it's too small so it doesn't have a proper galley nor the pilot house.
@@mbasir I mean of all the new designed hulls the N51 is the smallest "classic Nordhavn" with a pilot house. Isn't the N475 just a stretched version of the old N43?
Thank you, Sir. Another very interesting yacht. It's for sure my personal impression, but I had the idea that the general decoration (accommodation and furniture) were different and more refined, in the same 51 size previous Nordhavn ships.
Cracking video Nick, as you know I'm a massive fan of Nordhavn and they have outdone themselves this time. $2,000,000 seems like an absolute bargain. Still think about the Arksen as that was something else but this is a fifth of the price and truly stunning. I hope the owner has many adventures on their new "little ship". 👍🏴
Very compact and capable with all the necessities for comfortable cruising.is my guess. Just imagining site seeing fiords of Norway in this nimble yacht. Dual engines seem like a good idea over one main and a wing Great tour Nick
If you shot this video in a certain way so that no one knew the model until the end - it could be any model at any price. Nordhavn simply are over-the-top manic and I pray they never find a cure. When you entered the salon - the horizontal woodwork is super yacht level. The engine space is a virtual wet dream. Thanks, Nick - this content is becoming too enjoyable and may become illegal inVirginia soon LOL
Undoubtedly a great bit of kit. Like all Nordhaven's, it's not for me. They're like the 1980's Volvo of the boat world. Function and safety take priority over form. It's not a looker, it's a doer. Which is important: no risks taken for style. The interior was very nice. Loved the choice of veneer and some of the forms. The pilot house was amazing. Genuinely loved that. Only interior criticism? That sink in the day head was too big. Compromised getting in and out. I can see people getting bruised in heavy seas unnecessarily. Any owner will enjoy safe, comfortable boating experinces of a lifetime on one of these.
YT channel MV Freedom with Shawn and Elizabeth (Nordhavn 45) is a good practical channel when it comes to this type of boat. Both have their captain licence and Shawn is also a naval engineer. They recommend to only buy a boat with two toilets and to avoid boats with wood on the outside railings because of maintenance issues. They were the first to experiment with Starlink on a vessel and made a special episode about it. These Nordhavns are really only for people who are technically very adept and can repair/maintain all systems like Shawn does. That couple saves a bucket of money by being able to do their own repairs and maintenance.
Hi Nick, great review and indeed Nordhavn never disappoint on the quality of the build. I actually follow the couple that owns the first one. These boats look amazing, and compact enough for couples to handle on their own. I do however get the feeling a lot was squeezed into a small pace to make this work.
It's always hard to choose between the brands, but I always end up opting for a Nordhavn - and by opt for, I mean if I had more than two beans to rub together in order to buy one.
I finally caught one in the first day and its my favorite brand! I love that you put prices in there. Can anyone tell me why people love Nordhavn? Is it the top brand? What is the automotive equivalent? Im new to this so any info is greatly appreciated.
I love me a Nordhavn. Yes, they're made in China. Yes, they're expensive. Yes, they're displacement and not fast. But anyone looking for a real ship and not a booze-cruiser must look at a Nordhavn. Thanks so much for the tour. Simply gorgeous.
What a beautiful little ship, thank you so much for sharing. Guess I will look this video more than once 😊 Any idea what the price of this particular configuration is?
I have to ask what is the best Nordhavn? I’m sure Nick would have a few thought. This is certainly a great size and not going to feel crowded with 4/5 people. You could probably do with a water maker but apart from that it’s almost ready to go. I think this has got some potential as it were.
I hope its better than hull 1. It spends more time getting repairs and replacements than on the water. You would think Nordhavn would of had it sorted by now after all these years.
Not sure about this one. The layout is nice but overall it hardly feels like 2 million. I‘d rather have a Fleming 55 which delivers a feel of luxury and class. This looks more like a fishing boat on the outside and an RV on the inside
Hi Nick!!! This is really nice. I would prefer a hard top instead of the hinge but that's just me. Everything else is great. I have one question, I never see any Nordhavns with remote yacht controllers. Why?? Can it be done??? I think this boat is great for a single operator to handle. Thanks again for a GREAT video!!!!! Take care, Jersey Lou
@@AQUAHOLIC Thanks for the quick reply. Your videos are great!! I usually go back and watch them again. Also for $2 million that's a lot of boat especially that it is a Nordhavn. Thanks again Nick
I was concerned that you failed to point out the portholes in the master cabin. Only for you to draw attention to them when on the side/foredeck. That I even doubted you for a moment? Shame on me.
No, we never get tired of Nordhaven. You do the best boat reviews on UA-cam, Nick. Always enjoyable.
You're very kind 🙂
What I love about Nordhavn is that they actually feel like boats. Not just mansions with a hull, like so many other yachts. This is a *boat* .
Proper tour this one. I could almost imagine myself standing at the flybridge helm making way for some isolated anchorage. Thanks Nick.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂

You're very welcome!
I’m in love with this proper little ship.
…but it needs a water maker.
$2m, 3,000 miles, that is one serious boat AND relatively cheap. Thanks Nick.
You're welcome!
It’s a shame modern yachts have lost that rich wood of classic yachts , it all seems a bit hotel lobby without any character. It is a superb boat but prefer the older interiors .
I would say RV quality wood
This is what I was about to write as well! Great review, yet the charm of the original nordhavn is missing imo :)
Полностью согласен с вами. Безлико

Crazy this is a 50' boat!!🤠
That is a lovely chunky boat, looks like it could handle almost anything.
Absolutely beautiful! Well done Nick!

I see a lot of yachts have stairs that can be used for storage. I wonder why they don't apply that in the smaller units?
Nice boat but not a big fan of hull windows ( the smaller the better if at all) always seem like a week point in the hull.
