Note: After posting we noticed some incorrect details with what was said. Not all of the saloon windows are opening, the thrusters are on/off, not variable speed, the Cummins engine is 550 HP and some other, more minor details. The detailed listing specifications and brochure on JMYS.com are updated with corrections.
Odyssey is for sale by her second owner who purchased her through Tomco, the American Tug builder in La Conner, WA. After purchase, she remained in town and the factory oversaw the installation of CMC Waveless active fin stabilizers and then, after some cruising in the Pacific Northwest, the yard coordinated on deck cargo shipping from Vancouver, Canada to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
As the 14th hull number in the series, Odyssey benefits from the product improvements of the sister ships that preceded her. The original owners ordered most of the popular factory options (including the flybridge) with plans for great adventures, but sadly had life circumstances making them unable to travel. This opened up a rare opportunity for the current owner to purchase a like-new boat (under 100 hours on main and generator) that was outfitted and ready to go.
Odyssey is an outstanding American Tug 435 featuring; Two stateroom, two head layout with flybridge. Some of the unique upgrades include a top berth in the guest stateroom and a door access from hallway landing for the guest head. The seller purchased Odyssey as his last boat to do the Great Loop which he has now completed. Odyssey is offered as a very well-established American Tug 435, ready for her next owners to create their own adventures.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love that you do your video's whilst underway when you can. We all love the water so seeing her moving through the water is really great. Also filming and then adding commentary during editing makes sense. It's not always easy to come up with the best words whilst filming.....and also allows you to showcase all your teams product.
Well done, always a pleasure watching your new yachts for sale.
Ulbre: Thank you, we do try to get out on the water away from distractions. I do prefer to film and point things out, but it wasn't possible in this situation so I did the voice over later, glad you like it and appreciate your kind words of encouragement!
You do a great job fitting in as much data as possible in such a short period of time. Thanks!
Thank you for your nice note. It's hard to remember everything, but the video does the job if it helps people decide they need to get aboard - the next step!
Thanks for your time.
Outstanding tour and nice seeing you as always.
Cheers.
Bob: Thank you for your nice message and for watching along!
Darn nice boat! A LOT of choices in that price range....decisions, decisions!
Thomas: Thank you for watching. This is a very clean, lightly used AT 435. You could argue as good as, if not better than new - certainly a shorter delivery time than new! Please check out the details on JMYS.com
Great looking boat! Always enjoy watching your videos and I like the shirt!
Mikael: Thank you, Odyssey is truly an outstanding American Tug and glad you like the shirt!
That’s a really nice engine room. Thx for the great video.
Thank you for your nice note, this is really a well designed boat and the owner has been conscientious (appropriately) with his care.
@ it’s good to see Snowbird sold. I really think the one off custom built metal/aluminum are really underrated. They offer so much for the money. Systems like ships.
@@jimreid67 Snowbird found some great new owners and will be in flight again soon!
A nice boat toured by a nice guy.
Constantine: Thank you very much for the nice words!
Great tour, Nice Boat! Thanks Jeff! Happy 2025! 😊👍⚓
Captain Rick! Greetings and than you for your always positive feedback. Here's to a great 2025 for everyone!
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Gerhard! Wow, long time, happy 2025!
She is clean
Hi Frank, yes, she is in great condition
Being tall...I appreciate the headroom facts
Dade: You are welcome, it take a little more time to add that kind of detail, but we agree it is important!
Uma maravilha!!!!!!
Thank you!
It would be my dream to do the great loop aboard this beauty.
Matthew: She has already been there, time for you to add this to your "done that" list!
That is a really tough price point for a tug like that. Your in year and size range with Viking, Sea Ray, Azimut, etc… most of them larger and higher end builds. Most have two engines and three staterooms. I wish you luck.
Matt: The brands you mention are in a different category. Heck, there are center consoles that are more money than Odyssey, the right boat has to have the right price. To find a late model 435 with all of this equipment and in this condition the price is an excellent value. A new build is the only comparable and they are 1+ years out and a couple hundred thousand more to be side by side. Thank you for watching.
Sea ray?/? 😂😂😂😂
@@Steve-qn8gn i laughed out loud when I saw that
❤ i wish🎉
Many wishes do come true, thank you for your comment!
Nice
Thank you Paul
When you only have one engine an it doesn't work an no other options isn't this putting a lot of reliability on that engine never having no problems
Lynn: The majority of the powerboats in the trawler and tug world are single engine. Some have a back up propulsion option. Many are designed and built as twin engine models. One reason why the Cummins engine was specified for the AT 435, a very reliable engine, but...anything can happen, as the owner one of your responsibilities is to look after all of your equipment and single engine owners usually spend a lot of time caring for their engine to make sure it is ready and reliable.
@@JeffMerrillYachtsLooks like there might be room for a small wing engine just as a get home back up or to keep her safe while repairs could be carried out, it’s a great boat and a lovely walkthrough. Fantastic Bridge.👍
@@paulsharman9295 Thank you Paul. I'm not sure American Tug has ever put in a back up/get home system or wing engine. Thanks for your nice note.
Take a check?
Of course, we will take whatever form of payment you prefer! Thank you for watching!
Richard Evans- anyone know how he is doing ?
No idea
Price??
Joe: We don't put the price on the video in case it is adjusted later, but the current price is $1.295 - specifications and photos, etc. are posted on our website = jmys.com/listings/american-tug-435-odyssey/
Please invest in a wide angle camera lense😩😩😩
I get it, thank you. This was filmed using my IPhone 16 - first time trying it for a video. There is a learning curve I'm trying to straighten out.
What’s your issue with the video? Looks, clear and smooth to me.
@@Steve-qn8gn The issue is the lens is too narrow of a field of view and does not give the watcher the kind of perspective they would have if there were present for the walkthrough. It has nothing to do with clarity or smoothness. All films are shot with very wide angles of view for this reason. And this one would be vastly improved if it were too.
@@mdleweight First time with this phone instead of a GoPro, I know some of the footage was too close.
Wow. Seems way overpriced for the quality. I don’t know this brand, but I don’t like it. I wouldn’t go out in the ocean with it.
Remy: If you don't like it then no price will entice you. The American Tugs are well built and the owners preserve their value while enjoying the ride. Not designed for crossing oceans, but perfectly comfortable offshore and in inland waters.
A guy who chooses shirts like that ain’t tempting me to buy a boat. Yikes !
We call them “aloha shirts”. Some people can pull it off. Some can’t. I’m thinking you’re on the latter. 🤷🏻
@ absolutely not ! You are right.
I’m more yer boring plain coloured type .
Thank you for watching. You may like one of the other Aloha shirts I wear in ALL of my other videos. The brand is Reyn Spooner, I love them and if you buy the boat you can wear whatever shirts you like. It's all about the boat, not the shirt, but really even more it is the people who make cruising such a great lifestyle.
@ too true, you wouldn’t want to wear my sad boring plain shirts mate. It was a tongue in cheek remark earlier but reading it back it was cheek; sorry ! Thanks for sharing these vlogs. I love them.
@@pageant1fd I get the humor, thank you for your note!
