Principal as lead learner, system player, and change agent is a nice idea. I like principal as co-learner, system team member, and member of change agency. Teachers and principals need to work together to improve learning, the culture in a building, the program, and the dignity of all members.
BTW...if I wanted to be in the class I would be...sorry most Principals have fled the class....are secretarial types with no vision...who crave control through micro management....and the people who put them there are the same....go into a school today...going into the office is like fort knox...the crisis has revealed their true nature
What do you do when the leader .....is not a leader ?...and does not posses legitimate authority...and how do you change an incestious culture of self promotion...void of creativity....

We are indeed all in this together, no matter what the titles are that we hold.
