Thank you for this video. I can reuse the ribbon cables on my screen right? Because the replacement I'm looking at only has the 2 connections on the bottom of the screen and no ribbon cable included.

I always thought you have to change all, the touch and the display. I also thought you always have to use a hot air gun because everything is glued inside android devices....
So is there no Problem with exchanging the display and you do not need any glue at all for replacing it?

Hey there! Great video! I had a friend bring me a TF201 to replace the digitizer. She purchased the digitzer from a local business, but didn't have them install because she didn't want to pay what they were asking. I did the replacement but when I had it back together the digitizer is inverted. In searching forums I found that a lot of people had the same issue. Obviously in your video you didn't run into this issue, do you think perhaps they gave her the wrong part?

Do you do repairs by chance? I cannot find anyone to repair my Asus Zenpad s8. I swear, I did not drop the screen, or step on it, or anything. It was practically new, and the cracked screen is NOT covered under warranty. It is a hair puller. It cost me a good chunk of money to buy this tablet, and it just blows my mind as to how the damn glass cracked when it was sitting safely on the counter in a very good case.
Anyone know where in the US you can buy ASUS parts? ASUS will not sell parts directly to consumers. The only parts supplier I can find is in the UK so shipping doubles the price of the parts.
Tampatec... I was given an Asus ME400C that has a cracked screen. It won't even power on. Does that mean the digitizer is broken as well? Thanks for your help...

You don't need to heat the screen to remove it like we see in other videos?
My screen glass is all cracked from a fall, but the touch screen still works like if nothing happened.
Is it possible to change just the glass? I don't understand clearly how it's made.

What im trying to do is not replace the glass, but rather find some way to get the glass to react to my touch again. See, the tablet was stuck in a cold room all night and the screen cracked when it was brought into a warm truck. Im okay with a few visible cracks, but i cant even unlock my tablet because it wont respond. I dont have the money or the patience to replace the screen. Is there something i can use, glue, tape, anything to make the glass react to my touch? If so, please tell me
hold power button till tablet reset off on, next check touch screen cable connection and reseat it.

I was about to repair what I was sure was a Zenpad Z10 but I ordered the wrong screen. I have model P001 that has the button on the narrow dimension and no logo and no hole on the wide dimension like that one.
My original screen was glass I ordered a replacement and received a plastic one. Couldn't tell if the one in the video was plastic if not do you think it work the same. It came with a digitizer not sure if I should keep the one on my tablet.

my son has an 8 gig Asus tablet to which he says he dropped but its all but shattered and even in one place the screen in black it still turns on if I buy a replacement screen will that fix it or do I need to take it to electronic express and get there advice

Hi, i accidentally cracked my screen but the lcd is fine. I can still touch the screen. Everything is working. How much would it cost me to repair?
I have a replacement just like the one shown clear plexiglass type my original is glass when I took off the frame my glass is glued to the lcd(4:19) whatever that piece is called. Is there any way to take it off without destroying the unit. I have tf600.

After seeing this video, I bought a replacement screen with the little tools from aliexpress. But my screen was glued to the tablet and I was not able to separate it from the tablet. I ended up having broken glass everywhere. I have an Asus MeMO Pad 101 - model # ME 302C. It isn't the same as the tablet in this video. So maybe try removing your screen before spending the $ on the replacement part.
snap...(see my comment above)... the front glass is glued to the rear screen and impossible to separate even though you can buy the glass on its own, don't know why.... bought the full screen and swopped the internals over to fix...

He did say that in the textyou might need 3m double sided tape on the new screen and the digitizer (black plastic frame). But I don't think he used it @ 4:08

My ASUS Tablet does not respond to me at all, I need touch screen to work, without touch screen the screen messes all up. I can't even turn the power off, nor a factory reset. I try loading in an app and then 1 second later it is now on google chrome, when I did not even press google chrome! I held down the volume down button and power off button, still nothing.. :(
+Jay Ormond open up tablet and unplug battery cable then reconnect touch-screen ribbon cables then plug in battery and test it out, hope this helps. you can also use a usb mouse by plugging in otg usb cable adapter in micro-usb port, to restore tablet turn off hold power+volume down till service menu appears.

My ASUS Nexus tablet got a crack even though I had it in a fold-able protecto case. Had to snooze a few hours in the early early morning at the Milano airport and of course had my legs over my backpack and later discovered surprise surprise cracked screen. Some parts of screen touch screen doesn't work. Dooh! When I changed the battery in my Android phone I just sat the phone out in the sun to get hot for the adhesive to loosen up. Probably a good idea to tape something over the Camera/s if sitting phone/tablet in the sun.

Is there any fix to my daughters tablet? Her touch screen isn't working. It started doing so soon after I bought it. Was gonna exchange but she cracked it before I had a chance.
if it still works just buy a clear shield so you won't injury yourself or go to ebay to buy and replace glass. what's tablet model and maker?
The touch doesn't work though. It didn't work even before it cracked
It can be caused by 3 things
1. software issue so hold power button to reset it.
2. Bumped caused digitizer touchscreen cable to be loosen so open back cover and reseat ribbon cable.
3. Small crack caused digitizer to not send data to mother board so replace digitizer or pay to replace it, try best buy. Some touchscreens repairs are easy but some are very hard and cause more damage like to lcd screen. Good luck! if this helped sub for more easy common tech fixes for phones tablets and tvs.

Whats the model number of this tablet?
i have the asus zenpad 10... front screen cracked so the touch screen didn't work although you could see it. I bought the replacement front glass thinking, take old glass off, replace etc...BUT the front clear glass is glued to the digitizer / rear part of the screen so was impossible to remove. The ONLY way to fix was to buy the full screen which includes the frame... you then just swop over all the internal parts (battery, CPU etc) from the old tablet to the new one. No other way to do it.....

If you go into your device settings and click on "About" it should give you all the info you need about your tablet.

where can parts besides the touch screen be bought?
the speaker has a buzz and that is because it is defective and i see no speakers for sale.
had transformers for a long time and as good as the picture is this is driving me to the dark side [ an apple product next time not a glued together extremely delicate not well made machine

thank you for the class on how to take the 701tf apart it is mind boggling that it is glued and they want 200.00 to fix a part that a simple set of screws would have made a simple task and the gluing makes ridiculously tedious and frustrating
