Now in 2023 it might be better/cheaper to buy a replacement led & digitizer assembled. I suppose it depends on how skilled and how much time one has.

I bought my me302c back in 2015. The only digitizer I could find was a 5425N but I am unsure about the version. It looks like you are saying both ver.1 & ver.2 will work?
You are welcome. It's hard to say if the ver.1 & ver.2 are compatible, I haven't tried. But from the experinece on some older Asus models they were not compatible if the were different versions.

This is probably the method I will have to go through to replace mine. I have the new glass ready to replace the old one, but it looks like the other shorter method shown on UA-cam won't work for me because I am unable to remove the battery because of the 38 tiny plastic pins surrounding the perimeter in the back inside of the tablet (similarly like this tablet in this video). It looks like the old flex cable falls off at about 7:35 into this video, right? Any advice before I get started?
Yes, you are right on 7:35. Advice is always to work carefully and slow. Don't damage the inner Screen. Good luck

can you do this same with the asus zenpad 10?
It's harder, because the zenpad 10 has the digitizer glued to the lcd screen. Much harder if you don't have experience
@@CrocFIX thx for this information. i wanted to fix mine, but couldn't find any tutorial about that. wondered, why i can buy a glass digitizer for the zenpad 10 but there's nearly no way to not damage the lcd sreen.

Which foil do you mean? One is part of the digitizer and comes on every new part - all new touch glass
I mean the foil from timelapse 11.00 to 14.18 , but what you say, it is from the digitizer

why touch screen work on half glass after i change new glass
Check the flex cable if you connected it properly. Try reconnect it again. Clean the connector and flex cable. Compare the Digitizer Version on the flex cable. Maybe you have a different version.
add more space , before placing new glass
had same problem found it to be the decode chip that runs the touch screen come away from board & once pressed into board screen worked fine but instead of replacing the chip I replaced the tablet
