    NWR1991, my mind is blown away! This story has touched my heart! While I am sad that the real Glynn was scrapped, the replica Glynn is definitely doing the right duty by carrying on that spirit! You really know how to create such impacting and memorable stories! Keep going all the way mate!

    That was very touching, I can understand Thomas' sorrow over Glynn, but I am glad to hear he's accepted fate yet again.
    Congratulations on reaching 100 episodes by the way.

    This was such a sad story, but also good. I think the replica of Glynn was a good plot twist, as well.

    Man, that was an excellent episode, NWR1991! And to be honest, I thought Glynn was suffering from amnesia because of the accident. But then I guess it proves just how troublesome trucks can be. I wish there was more episodes in November, and I hope your next video will at least be a story of some kind, like Diesel's Christmas Carol. Till then, have a great visit, and many thanks again for such a dark yet incredibly captivating story, NWR1991!

    Oh my. This story was different to what I was expecting to see. I did not expect to see this tale turn out like this. Glynn's story about what happened to him and why there is a second coffee pot engine at the museum. It felt very sad at the end and I just couldn't believe that Glynn, the original) was going to be... deceased :(. But a lovely story and a great tribute to Glynn :).
    Congratulations on your 100th episode of your series :).

    This is a very ambitious concept and I applaud the efforts, but I'm left with a few questions after watching this. The idea of Glynn readily accepting he's going to be killed and replaced by an identical version of him for little reason is rather an odd one to me. Also, if Glynn is proving uneconomical to run why would you then build another Glynn? The costs of building the new Glynn would surely negate any scrap metal fees earned from selling on the old Glynn. I get what you're going for here, there is definitely an interesting idea here but personally I'm not entirely convinced on the execution.

    A very fine episode. One worth tearing up over. I hope the series does something this dramatic one day, maybe if tgey adapt "Enterprising Engines." You really outdone yourself. I enjoyed the longer running time.

    NWR1991, This was by far the best video I've ever seen in my life. I was shocked that the Coffee pot engine we know was a replica, What a plot twist and I nearly went into tears when the Real Coffee pot said his final farewell to Thomas. I'm giving a rating of 10/10.

    okay so... I have heard that some people have stated that this episode makes no sense. but it does! Thomas misses his friend and does not relize that glynn is a replica to show the kids the coffee pot engines. then Alice tells him about how glynn was scrapped and the museum just built another coffee pot. Great job NWR1991. I love it from start to finish.

    Good job with this one! Ironically I've written an essay for my creative writing class about a month ago that mentions some I like to call The Friends Of The North Western Railway or The Friends for short. I also did some world building beyond this. The Friends keep the various machines that are Friends to the engines of the NWR working. For example they own Jinty, Pug, Diesel, Caroline and Trevor and keep other engines like Stepney and Flying Scotsman grants for restorations. Like yours, The Friends have ownership of Vicarstown Sheds for a museum and also have a museum for road vehicles at Dryaw. They have various events and the NWR loans their engines regularly.

    This was a amazing episode which intelligently talks about death & acceptance. It's very hard & I know I will have to deal with the same fate one day but....their souls can all rest in the sky. At least we can meet again with the dead in the car future...maybe I could even get wings. Yes, I'd love a pair of white beautiful wings on my back, letting me protect the humans & teach the values of life. I'd also get to relax with my loved ones including my boyfriend. It's just marvelous what life is. I hope we all will understand that one day or another.

    My version of this combining Glynn's storyline in the TVS: Thomas is telling the story to the replicate coffee pot, Marion is on Thomas branchline and finds Glynn (Being Marion she thinks its the Christmas tree), She Tells Percy What she saws, But Percy dosen't believe her, Marion gose fetches TFC from Knapford while Percy & Toby are talking about her, Marion brings TFC (Sir Richard Topham Hatt) to the spot with Harvey, Marion is called back to Brendam for a emergancy just as they arrive at the spot, TFC finds Glynn but to no avail, which he then orders Harvey to bring Glynn up to Uldstaff with him, Meanwhile Alice had just finished the story and Thomas had started heading back to Knapford,When TFC got to Uldstve the Earl immiedantly agrees to restore Glynn, meanwhile at Knapford Thomas finds Sir Stephen Hatt visitig the engines Thomas asks him about Glynn and the same thing happens like in your story (The Flash back is included but Glynn says lastly "I might be back") Thomas gose to apologize to the coffepot replica on October 29, On December 23, Thomas is told to go to Vicarstown with a suprise, He finds Glynn in a shed chatting with the other coffee pot, Thomas is more than thrilled but Alice, & Thomas how Glynn was still around, when Glynn was sent to a small scrap yard on Thomas' Line, Glynn was put on a siding and his most of his parts were removed, But his wheels, most of his boiler, and front stayed as since the business didn't need to scrap Glynn as they had enough to do already, and the bussiness clossed after forgetting about Glynn on a siding, Sir Stephen Hatt, Richard Hatt, Sir Robert, The Dierector of The Sodor Sudrain History Previsation society make a speeches, and At Vicarstown that night all the engines that arrived on the island up to 1954 attended a special Party at Vicarstown in honor of Glynn, Marion brought the Manager of the SCC to attend and thought that a nearby Christmas tree was the tree she found. So thats my version of the story of Glynn.

  • @kathyhicswa6666
    @kathyhicswa6666 7 років тому +1

    Wait a minute! In series 20 (I think) of Thomas and Friends Glynn is found by Marion (when digging)who thinks he's a talking Christmas tree. Eventually Thomas and Percy tell the Earle of Sodor who has him restored. He now works at Ellsworthe Castle in the museum there; giving tours. Nice dream sequence and closure for Thomas, though.

    Hmm... I will admit I'm not 100% sure what to make of this episode, I certainly love the twist with Glynn's fate, but as for the way Thomas reacted to the truth and the resolve personally leaves quite a lot to be desired. The conflict had the right idea but it didn't feel authentic, obviously no ones perfect but I felt like Thomas' mental plight could've gone on for a lot longer thus pulling all the heart strings in a well crafted mourning. It's good, the idea's perfect but Thomas fails in this regard compared to what you did with him in dealing with the late Mrs. Kindley not so long ago.

    Well this was unexpected. I'll admit I like what they did for Glynn in the TVS; it's essentially what most of the fandom interpreted for Neil, except the Coffee Pots were even more obscure. Even so, I like this interpretation. I never expected a Thomas series to venture into Replica territory (Tornado's a new-build so he doesn't count), and the story of Glynn's legacy was pretty well constructed.

    It's such a shame that Glynn wasn't preserved but I'm glad Thomas understands why Glynn had to be scrapped😭
    I do find the concept of the story interesting🤔
    However in my imagination I pictured the all the Coffee Pot including Glynn preserved at the Vicarstown Railway Museum. Same can be said for Neil's brothers(Clive and Matthew)(S&M no.1 and no.3),and Colin and Adam (W&S no.1 and no.3), as well as The Red Engine("Eagle" as I like to call him), 98462 and 87546(if they redeemed themselves and given names),some Engines from the Furness Railway like Albert, and some Mid Sodor Engines like Tim, Jerry, and Atlas.
    I wonder how Lily, Neil, and Alice became part of the museum.🤔
    We know that Glynn(replica) was built there and I'm guessing Eric is a replica of the LNER V3 tank engine.🤔

    I really like this episode, it has a good moral, and it does something the TV wouldn't do, If only we got official Thomas media with darker story lines.

    A great but sad story, I can't believe the real Glynn was scrapped but I'm glad Thomas isn't holding a grudge over it. By the way why is Eric in the Sodor Museum, he was built on Sodor in the 1970s or was it in the 1980s?

    • @NWR1991

      Robert1333RobloxVideos Well I believe that there are two versions of the V2s, the tank engines and the tender engines. Although I think maybe Eric is a V3 tank engine I've been wrong before.

    Wait, if they found the brakes for the copy of Gleen, why didn't they put the brakes on the original Gleen?

    • @NWR1991
      @NWR1991  8 років тому

      ThomasFan16 Because his repairs were too expensive since he suffered major damage. Plus the original Glynn has brakes but they were weak to stop the trucks from surging him on.

    • @NWR1991
      @NWR1991  8 років тому +1

      TGR Ethan Yes, in this story since Rev. Awdry and his brother George had written in 'Sodor: Its People, History and Engines' that the Coffee pots were scrapped, links to the sources are in the description alone. Glynn is still in the TV series as that's it's own canon and this fan made series has its own canon too and is no way officially canon to the show.

    the fat controller would never scrap an engine. he would probably set it as a static display in a museum instead.

    • @NWR1991
      @NWR1991  7 років тому

      justintheslowcoach As I've stated before, In 'The Island of Sodor: Its People, History and Railways' the Rev.W.Awdry had stated that the coffee pots were scrapped and it's stated on the wikia as well. You have the right of opinion. However in backstory that I had made months ago, it wasn't Sir Topham Hatt I who decided to scrap him, the board of directors of the NWR put a vote to it despite his (STH 1) protest. The museum offered to take him and so the board agree to give them one month to come up with the money to purchase Glynn. But the museum didn't have the limit and so Glynn met his demise. I don't hate Glynn but in respect to the Reverend's source material this how it happens. I would suggest buying the source book but of course they are rare and very costly.
