      this is only reliable if you updated the " oil cooler pipe", otherwise your engine will be in catastrophic condition,if you have this engine 2GR-FE that includes 2007-2015 toyotas like Highlander,sienna, RX350. BETTER CHANGE YOUR "OIL COOLER PIPE" now now now not tomorrow because the rubber hose is not hydraulic and may burst anytime and drain all your MOTOR OIL, THIS IS A WARNING,WARNING WARNING, I dont understand why TOYOTA-LEXUS never call this as a RECALL. so you guys there with this model, DO THE UPDATES NOW, SEARCH THIS IN YOU TUBE.ua-cam.com/video/iD8uyvkqKsk/v-deo.html

      @@Pusongmamon413 yep, it did happen to me back in February of this year! Luckily my engine did not get damaged. I was pretty pissed off at Lexus because I had a 2007 RX that I did get the recall notice about the same thing and it was taken care of. When I called the dealership about it with my 2010, they claimed that they sent me a notice about it, and I I told them I never got the notice for this vehicle. And I was like, you had the same issue on the previous generation RX and you didn’t fix it for the next generation RX? That kind of blew my mind.
      So since I didn’t know about the recall and I didn’t know about them supposedly fixing it and it had to be within 10 years of the recall notice I fell outside of being able to get it done for free😡. But thankfully I guess I didn’t drive it long enough to ruin the engine. The engine is fine and the oil pipe has been replaced.

    Hi
    I did like video. It is very informative and helpful to berter know the cad. I also like how you took the time to open most of the compartment; particularly in the passenger seat showing the cupholders and storage with it. As though the glove box was not opened and none of the consoles features were mentioned. It is not as detailed as it could be but it was still nice. Thanks

    I do like the invisibilityness of it though. It's a nice car but it doesn't broadcast wealth. It's a very honest car but it's nice enough to not feel like a budget car. Unlike new cars it was designed to be a bit more sophisticated and a bit more subtle with its styling. It's not meant to be a show-off car and that to me is a great thing. It's why I like Lexus products since they are nice but they don't make you look like a rich jerk like a BMW or a Mercedes would do.

    • @maurice2014
      @maurice2014 Рік тому

      What are you talking about? If someone think Lexus' are cheap, doesn't know about cars anyway. They hold their value and start at a high sticker price. YOU think it's unassuming but it's not a sleeper by any means. It's only a non-head-turner in public because many people own it but that never made Lexus lower the price. If most people had Mercedes-Benzs' the same logic applies. Seeing a dude in a Lexus looks more rich than a guy in Mercedes because Used Mercedes are cheaper because maintenance is expensive.

    • @colechapman6976
      @colechapman6976 Рік тому

      @@maurice2014 Not really. The Mercedes will always be that much better in terms of design and performance, just because it's how these luxury car companies operates. Sure, maintenance is "expensive," but that is also what makes them look a bit richer. A rich person doesn't much care anyways about maintenance, since they own it for a year and then sell it, or lease the thing. Lexus is a fantastic brand, but it's no Mercedes in terms of brand prestige

    • @maurice2014
      @maurice2014 Рік тому

      @@colechapman6976 IN YOUR opinion. A 2016 RX vs. A 2016 ML/GLE ---Rx's value is still twice as much in 2023. The components last longer in every way... you must be a casual car fan. The prestige of the Lexus is greater in that everyone knows it's the greatest balance of luxury and reliability.

    • @colechapman6976
      @colechapman6976 Рік тому

      @@maurice2014 It is a great balance, but why do people then choose the big three Germans and why are they priced more than Lexus? It is because they offer technology the moment it is created. They craft interiors with better quality and tech. Lexus makes great products, don't get me wrong, but there is a reason German cars new are more expensive than Japanese cars. They may not be reliable, but they do craft damn fine interiors and use great technology that are usually the first to come to market

A lot of auction cars that have had their titles "washed", as to not reflect hurricane (water) or larceny (stolen) insurance claims. I find the best way to buy a car there, is to meet at the persons home. When you are buying a car it is better to see and determine the type of individual they are, and how they treated there automobile. A lot of "car-flipper's" on CL...most of them pretend they are the owner, or they are "selling the car for a friend or an uncle". All these claims are always bullshit. Let me know how it turns out.

I don't buy brand new cars hence always looking for reliable used cars. I think Toyota/Lexus is one of them. The nice part about this engine is the reliability and quality. I have no issues at 110,000 miles. Nice thing is, this engine has a timing chain which should last the lifetime of the vehicle, or be changed once if you keep it past 200,000.
