  • Hello everyone, today I'll be showing you this 2012 Lexus RX350 FWD. We see so many of these on the road here in America, but why do so many women pick to drive this car? Here's a few of my thoughts on this subject!

FYI - Charleston Car Videos on UA-cam Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. I’m a dude and I recently inherited my wife’s 2012 RX350. I had to sell my 2015 VW CC r-line manual after we had our third child. I loved that car, but putting kids in the back was a disaster. Ive always been a drivers car guy so taking my wife’s cream puff Lexus was a sad day......I thought. I used to drive it on road trips, but that’s about it. Driving it every day now has opened my eyes. It is supremely comfortable. It doesn’t offend in any way really. Good power, brakes, tech (for a 2012), and styling. I will probably only have it for a few more years, but mine still looks amazing and is holding up very well at 109,000 miles now. Zero mechanical failures as well. Great car for anyone really and they are super reliable. There’s I guy review for ya!

Most people don't know that the Lexus RX 350 is THE safest car in the United States. To date not one person has ever been killed in an accident. No other car can claim that. Furthermore, it's reliability is unmatched. That's a matter of record as well. With proper upkeep they are designed to drive past 300,000 miles. I don't even own one but you can bet getting one is on my bucket list.

@@eheheh3263 It's known for not having problems. Go by mileage. It's true that their lifespan exceeds 300K miles with upkeep. I would not hesitate to buy an RX 350 under $10K if it had under 200K miles on it.

Hey! I'm a married guy and LOVE my 2012 RX350. My wife drives a new Genesis, but I love my car. Paid off, 70,000 miles, and will be comfy and reliable for another 5 to 10 years. I can go to Lowes and throw a bunch of shit in the back, OR take our friends out to dinner in perfect comfort. On trips you can load it down with bags, or park it at the airport without freaking out that someones gonna f@#k it up. Perfect vehicle.

Where's ur camry?? This RX can also well be a Man car as well its beautiful. It drives smooth being 10 years old!! U can not go wrong. The practicality of getting in and out as well as power lift tailgate is everything. Also I think woman love to feel luxurious... its less about sports agility... and more like driving on a cloud... You must be talking about my daughter and her husband.Every 2 to 3 years they buy something new. Gen X er's. But they can afford to waste money making 300K a year. I always keep a car at least 10 years and fix whatever it needs in between. I've never had a high salary, but I bet I've saved over 300K by not being a fad buyer. I own a Vette and 2 Toyota MR2's ( 2nd Gen ). I've only bought 2 cars new in my life. Don't like the depreciation the first couple years. Now I'm in the market for a RX 350. I checked those Acura MDX, RDX and seems they aren't as reliable as most people think (Transmission and cheap plastic inside ). I had a Honda Vigor ( Acura grade in Japan ) It was Ok only. Some Lady backed into and totaled my Solara, so now it's going to be RX 350 for me.

    Hi, I'm a woman purchasing a 2014 Lexus RX 350 F-Sport in 2023. I have an old "clunker yet classic" 2001 GS300 I bought in 2014.
Even though the car was old, I loved the way it felt on the road and I really wanted to stay within the Lexus brand for ride feel. And I wanted to move from a sedan to an SUV.
I love the litte touches on the 2014 and 2015s.
It's almost a little too soccer- mom-ish for me. I am not a soccer mom.
However I need to occasionally cart things. My GS300 had a huge trunk and Im excited to move up to more room in the back.
The 2014 I'm getting has a bit more style to it than the 2013. It's the weird grille. I also love the luxury touches like leather seats and the woodgrain inside.
Looking forward to keeping it for another 9 years and then some. It currently has 94K miles.
I also love the first aid kit that is standard with Lexus.
Thanks for a wonderful review 😊. Very informative and you have a great personality that comes through on the screen.

Even as a teen, I absolutely adore driving the Lexus RX. It is comfortable, quiet, and luxurious in a very discreet, Lexus-like way. I really like how 'mine' (a 2009 RX350 with 36,000 miles) drives. Aside from the cracking dashboard from its years spent with my grandmother in Charleston, it has survived a New Jersey winter with no other issues or blemishes. I cannot wait to keep driving this car. Despite the fact it rolls in the corners and isn't sporty, I find it (like I have found all cars, so far) fun to drive. And I'm a German car person.

I have always kept a beater/trash hauling/rain car so I could keep my other cars pristine. They are all coupes. I sold my last old beater car, a '99 Lexus ES300, last year when my wife bought herself a new Outback. We can't bring ourselves to haul trash in it (still has that new smell) so I am currently using a '90 Ford pickup I inherited. The old truck seems to be nearing it's final days so I had begun looking for a 12-15 year old Highlander or Venza (used Tundras and Tacomas are still too expensive) to haul trash or drive in the rain and then I noticed that many were raving about the dependability and luxury of the RX350. I haven't been able to find the right deal yet, but still looking. If I can find one that checks all the boxes my wife will have the nicest car at the dump.

Hey! Guys buy them too! In the context that is for the wife also.
I have a 2009 with 234,000 miles on it. Such a buttery smooth drive and having to commute everyday 90 miles each way with this atrocious highway system potholes and rivets I had to have a comfortable car. Mission accomplished.
I also don't like drama. For 9 years of woken up in this car started on the first try every day no surprises. Boring? Sure. But unlike Doug D. who purchased a Range Rover and has had $15,000 in warranty repairs I've had zero. My idea of a good time is not spending it at the dealership or running around with a loner.
I like to buy things once.
I've taking it up to Lake Tahoe through the snow, driving rain near the coast and through the desert. It's been Bulletproof.
Next vehicle I'll step up my game and possibly get a Lexus LX570.

Ladies loved the RX 350 because it was the smallest SUV on the market in the age of big Ford Explorers. Now these older Lexuses are the biggest on the road because newer compact SUVs are mostly 4 cylinder cars such as Kia Sportage and Toyota RAV4. Nowadays, the RX350 is a great drive for a guy who would still be driving a 3.5 engine with nice power and a 4WD.

I'm a 55 yo guy. I had an Acura sedan that I loved - owned it for 18 years and 350k miles. I finally killed it, unfortunately. I have an 05 Wrangler as a toy to camp/off-road with that was a toy, it became my primary vehicle for a few years. I just picked up a 2015 RX F-Sport last August. I was trying to find a 4-runner, but could only find 2wd ones. I would've loved to have found a GX in good shape and my price range. Again, nope. So, I kind of 'settled' on the RX350 as I needed something quickly. Also, based on a ton of research, I decided I was only interested in Toyota & Lexus SUV's. So, I did have a limited group to choose from.
I gotta say I really do love it. It's the most comfortable long distance driving car I've ever owned. Even with the F-Sport suspension which is harsher riding than the normal suspension, it's still damn comfortable. Upon purchase, I drove it from Vegas to Seattle, towed it back to Vegas, then drove it to DC and back to Vegas and then to Nebraska. I have put 10k, mostly highway, miles on it since August. I just had the 90k service done on it. I put a Thule roof box on it for this last trip and it does well loaded down in the car with a pretty heavy roof box full of stuff - on I-70 from Utah to Denver (extremely hilly, curvy).
It has no sunglass holder, as he mentions. My biggest complaint is that and the cruise control doesn't stay on permanently. Not the setting, just it being 'on' and ready to set. Also, the position of the cruise control buttons is awkward. Cup holders can't hold 1l water bottles from Dasani/Aquafina, but can hold the Love's and Smart Water 1l bottles.
Dependable, comfortable, roomy - what's not to like?

My 04 rx330 has a powered hatch, automatic high beams and active lights that move with the angle of the car and steering wheel, navigation, automatic wipers, and of course heated leather. I did upgrade the stereo to a nice pioneer with touch screen, and bluetooth. Car has 114k miles. I paid 5k. I plan on driving it for many years to come. It's a 2004 and people compliment it and ask about it like it's a current model

Hey man, great Vid. love your humor. Yep, after owning several Toyota's various years and models, and really looking seriously at the MDX,RDX I decided the Lexus RX 350 is the way to go. I need a car I can carry my Model live steam trains to Steam-ups. I worked for a freight airline that carried the Acura MDX ( several, in secret )to Belize for test trials and comparison's with Mercedes back just before Acura introduced it in the USA. I was impressed then, but not so much now. They haven't advanced like other companies. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

These aren't ladies cars my man. I have one. It's a 2013. And I always wanted to have one for about the last eight years. I also have a 2011 Toyota Venza v6 all wheel drive, so I basically have two of the same vehicle. I love them because they're big enough for me to fit in as a 6'2", 240-lb man. My wife likes them because they ride so nice.

Your absolutely correct, I worked at Lexus and I broke the norm, I just picked up a 08 rx350 fully loaded. I purchased cause it’s very reliable. My other vehicle is a sequoia lol,,,, my Camry got totaled from a accident, so I knew I wanted a Lexus. Lexus has a cleaner and conditioner that’s made for there leather. A+ lubricant. I also picked up a 2000 es300 in February 20’. $800 and put $1500 into it now drives like a new car. Luv Lexus.

I'm getting a good kick out of the whole woman thing, I've been driving a Lexus RX since I started driving 9 years ago and I love them. I've had an 02 RX and now have a 12 RX. My father has had 3 different Lexus RX's over the last 20 years. Men can like a good looking and comfortable car too damn it! 😂 Also, reliability, smooth driving, quiet on the inside. I love having the interior space, I usually keep my back seats folded down and use the back to haul stuff around.
I've always thought the RX was more designed for a man. Big seats, big steering wheel, big ish frame. The Lexus NX is actually the first Lexus SUV designed by a woman. It is very similar to the RX but smaller. My mom has an NX and it is the perfect car for her, she says the RX is too big for her.

You want to know why women love that Lexus RX350??? Start with your wife... women love the RX350 for its reliability, low maintenance, start everytime they turn the key, comfortable ride, quiet, stress-free, easy to drive, and best of all, it's a LEXUS...just the name "LEXUS" alone is good enough to cause orgasm in some women... no need for a man to put his key inside the ignition.... lol.
