Fitting the Hitchcocks Motorcycles USB adaptor to a Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor

- In this video, we take a look at the high speed dual USB charging socket complete with mounting bracket specifically designed and produced for the 650 Interceptor and Continental GT.
This neat little dual USB socket plugs directly into the accessory plug located in the back of the headlight, and clamps around the main fork tube to fit discreetly by the instrument cluster. There is no wiring modifications needed to the bike as this plugs directly into the designated "Accessory Plug".
It runs on its own dedicated circuit protected by a 10 amp fuse. The circuit is only powered when the ignition is switched on, so there is no concern of the socket draining the battery when not in use. When powered, the USB will illuminate.
The USB socket is secured by a high strength steel bracket which clamps around the fork tube, finished in black and can be fitted to either the left or right hand side. This kit is available on the link below with worldwide shipping available:

Good to see you guys on youtube! Keep up the good work.
Thank you for this video. I bought this accessory in your e-shop a few days ago. Regards from Slovakia!
Excellent piece of kit,...will be ordering one soon👍👍
Just fitted mine and with the exception of two screws to remove head light. That were very tight indeed thus getting them off was difficult. And two brand new screws with hex heads used for head light. Kit that comes is excellent and this video made fitting very do able. Thanks and ride safe folks. Tony
Nice clean solution, I ran a fused connection from the battery under the seat and the tank to the front of the bike.
How easy was that! I'll definitely be getting one, just after a couple of other mods.
Great instructional video. Thanks
What a lovely bike. I'm suprised you use a 10 amp fuse for USB though. I've already got a USB port on my Sinnis RSX 125 but lovely to see they can be fitted universally and so easily. Thanks for the vid. Nice to discover you. Subscribed.
Hello, the 10 amp fuse is what comes fitted on the bikes accessory circuit as standard, all though this can easily be changed for a lower rated fuse depending on the type of accessories being used.
Just fitted mine, very neat
Great video, thanks! Just off the phone to you asking about a suitable connection for my Nextbase Ride camera and here it is!
Sweet & simple 👍
That’s amazing also was wondering if you cud make a single side holding tyre hugger would be very helpful during the rains
Just got one..
10 mn installation, perfect fit.
On delay shipping.
What else ?
Keep the good job
Nice accessory and informative video . Tried in my Interceptor , but looks like there is no power coming from the accessory socket(2018 Model interceptor) . Any idea what could be the reason ?
On the Himalayan, maybe you guys can tap into the LED position light below the headlight bulb. It’s s small red connector. I don’t know why it’s there since the headlight is always on.
will there be a usb-c version?
And is the fuse integrated in the usb adapter cable or on the side of the auxiliary cable that is already in the enfield?
Asking because i thought of buying another usb-c version and fitting it with the female adapter that you sell.
Thanks!
So you run the cable through the back of the headlight nacelle?
Something in all the great advice they completely omitted strangely. Not hard to guess thats what they did. But an extra 15 secs showing it, wouldnt have hurt.
Great video, I have a question: can I connect a USB adapter to the headlight cables even in a Royal Enfield Himalayan?
Perfect solution for an everyday problem. Really love it - except the blue light as I prefer it to be as invisible as possible.
Do you know how the plugs/connectors name is? And what Royal Enfield planned to use it for, as I was unable to find it in all documentation I got with the bike.
Hello, the accessory plug is on its own circuit and is an unused connector on the bike as standard, you can see this on the wiring diagram itself. At present, RE themselves have not released any accessories to utilise this but maybe this is something they plan to do in the future. The mating connector is available individually and shown on the following link: accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/accessory-shop/Block-Connectors/40476
Do you make a gear indicator?
Hey guys,
this is a great solution with a perfect look. When will you get it back on stock?
Thanks for the comment, these are now back in stock.
I have my USB port wired directly to the battery. The only problem being the potential to drain the battery as it can be used at all times. The connection via the headlight circuit - only active while the bike is running - is genius. I wonder if such an auxiliary port exists behind the Bullet's headlight?
Hi Bernie, its not something incorporated on the current range of Bullets, but perhaps RE will introduce this on the next platform of this model in the future.
Brilliant! My TomTom GPS and GoPro are wired into the yellow accessory male plug. I asked RE about getting the female side of that plug, with pins, but got no reply. Since the TomTom doesn't use a USB plug, it just red & black wires, would you consider selling the female plug with extra pins so I could wire up my own accessory?
Hello, we actually list the connector separately, please see the following link: accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/accessory-shop/Block-Connectors/40476
@@HitchcocksMotorcycles Awesome, I will be buying two when I finish up on my journey.
Will it short, if the tab is open during rains
Nice !!!! Please, this connector works with heated grips ? Thanks
As its run on a 10amp fuse. You`d have to make sure the heated grip ran on the same output. If so I couldnt see a reason why it wouldnt run heated grips.
Are you sure the real question you get all the time isn't 'why does this cost £110, when the Oxford version is £20?'.
While I love how comprehensively these guys serve the Royal Enfield parts market, some of the prices are utterly ridiculous.
Will this fit or do you have a similar item for the Himalayan?
Hello, this will not fit to the Himalayan unfortunately, it would need a direct feed from the battery for this model. We are working on a kit specific to the Himalayan, but it will still be some more time before being available.
I liked the idea that it was switched by the ignition system so no drain when engine not running.
Is that a plastic bracket?
do you sell in philippines?
Had mine shipped to the Philippines
it's nice, but a bit pricey at £48
