- Sonic.exe is pretty dumb, but at the same time fascinates me to no end. I just don't get how it's still so popular, but these days it's almost more popular than ever thanks to the Sonic.exe Friday Night Funkin Mod. Join me today as I explore a cursed disc, and maybe learn some dark secrets along the way!

to clarify:
he is NOT a demon!. He's more closer to Dark Matter from Kirby more than anything
in Sonic Legacy he is said to be an "Interdimensional Entity", and his official backstory states, and i quote from the Continued EXE Wiki: "the creature was born within a cataclysm brought on by multiple forms of primordial energy accidentally ramming into each other all at once after said energy was trying to assemble itself in a creative manner. These "ingredients" created a sentient mass of [REDACTED], a creature purely made of primordial energy."

Sonic.EXE is my opinion is a cool concept but I think we can all agree that the original CreepyPasta is pretty shitty, but hey at least we got cool takes on exe like Xenophanes!
I feel like that's how the entire EXE community in general feels about the story, hense why we have so many remakes, retellings, reimaginings, reboots, and just rewrites of the original. To the point where the original story and character isn't considered cannon anymore in the community. The official one is now Joedoughboi's variation simply called 2011.

@@yoredpanda4ishot Mine is Sonic.RAW as, I think he's a funny guy as he is literally powerless and only created as a result of other EXEs being created.. kind of like the pulp left after squeezing an orange.

Surprised to see you experience Sonic.exe 2011, though it's unfortunate you didn't get to see the ending, it's probably the part that shocks the most amount of people.
How did I miss the ending? Was I supposed to do something on the file select screen? I turned the game back on after it closed, and it didn't save my progress or doing anything else when I re-opened it.
@@Garrulous64This game and antivirus software don't really mix well, so that could be why. After waiting a few seconds on that last file select screen (where everyone is locked), there's supposed to be a final scene with Mr. exe himself.

Unfortunately I didn't download the game myself, it legitimately was on this disc, so I had no clue about the anti-virus thing 😔

the idea of sonic.exe will never work for me because the characters have all been through far worse than some spooky red-eyed boi and lived
it's not horror if you have to blatantly nerf the official, established characters for it to work in any capacity lmao
this is probably one of the most frustrating misconceptions about the original Sonic.EXE and the 2011 reboot. Those AREN'T the real Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, etc that X "kills", they're either vessels possessed by human souls or NPCs controlled by the player (like *gasp* REAL VIDEO GAMES). Yes if Goku or the real Sonic characters met X they would honestly beat his ass, but those aren't supposed to be the real characters
i honestly blame the copious amounts of fanmade sequels and reimaginings that try to make it an in-universe Sonic story for this misconception spreading far (like Sonic2.EXE, the Bratwurst trilogy, and the Nightmare series)
The only reason most Sonic characters survived for as long as they did was honestly just plot armor, in Sonic.exe there is no such thing, the fates of the characters are literally in the palm of his hand with no promise of a happy ending from the developers. That's what makes me appreciate Sonic.exe as a concept - it's Sonic but Sonic as we know him is no more and there's no plot armor to protect anyone.

Y'know quite a lot of people deny how strong he is just because of how bad the original version of the game was but you can scale sonic exe and sonic exe one more time and his super form to high outer and boundless
To me, Sonic.EXE isn't scary, even though some of the interpretations and games are good.
