@@thetruthsth01 no, it was on the drummers. The director deliberately told them multiple times in practice DO NOT bring it back but they did what they wanted to do. As you can see, the director was done and was getting off the stand.
That tubas only played the top part and not the bottom part I was pissed too and the percussion was not supposed to bring it back
Yeah the director got down off the stand and the drumline brought it back. The tuba part alone is risky but they pulled it off until they ran it back.

My opinion, NOASB won. After that drum battle, NOASB took it to MMB. I watched at least 6 different people video and reactions to the NOASB vs MMB and all but two of them have MMB winning. The other four have NOASB winning. But again, it's just people opinion.

This is fascinating how a band could have so many messups, the other does better in each category and y’all still give them a W.
Just cause somebody put everything but the kitchen sink in an arrangement, that don’t make it good music. Too much salt ruins the food.
Both bands had their fair share of mess-ups tbh. Trumpet hangovers/wrong notes, skating, etc. I also understand that some arrangements might not be everyone's cup of tea but to say it's not good music is insane to me. At the end of the day, music is SUBJECTIVE so I respect your opinion.
Yes, it’s subjective. But when that other person said NOASB played nothing but rap tunes and you agreed. That’s one thing that could’ve been corrected objectively because NOASB did not play only rap songs.

That's not the mighty sound of the south forte...I tried to get them there in 01-03. They finally let us play Big Ballin but someone on the palm side of the game played the song to the band director and because it had curse words we couldn't play it anymore. Wr played it at one game the crowd hype as hell. The most we played was I'm So Glad...lol... They need more pepper in band administration and things could be better on songs.

N.O is all about being loud you can tell they are not comfortable playing technical arrangements. GAMB is all about size but wont fix issue from last year. Glad MAAB is back MMB and MAAB basically mirror each other with Travis over there. MMB Even though they messed up a couple of times Have the arrangements and Technicality which separates them from N.O in this battle. After watching this again at first I gave it a tie but MMB won this battle by a solid point. Just my opinion.

It's sad seeing people not understand or appreciate the level of musicianship that MMB displayed. NO's arrangements are not hitting like they used to. That was proven when GAMB visited in '22. The best arrangement for NO came from the "student" director in my opinion. It was musically interesting. But MMB was musically interesting most of the battle. The days of most songs being 50% unison, 40% call/response, 10% tuba break are over. MMB and GAMB have taken summer bands to a new level. NO started to understand that last year but falling back into old habits now.
