I bought one about 6 months ago. Haven't used it a lot, but seems decent. I do have the folder that has the micarta handles and matches the fixed blade. Ive used that one quite a bit and it's done well on everything from toenails to cardboard
That's awesome lol.
@@REAPERMILITIAOUTDOORS lol toenails to cardboard
Peterbuilt knife guy beat the hell out of his and it came through with flying colors. I have not pulled the trigger on one yet. For the steel, I think it’s a bit expensive. Still a good knife for anyone looking to purchase something off the Walmart shelf in my opinion. Especially if you take a trip to Walmart with the wife or family….. sneak in that knife purchase….. 😊
AUS8 for 39.99 is prices about right!!!
Lol yeah brother sneaking it in will be key lol
@@Wildwestwrangleri disagree. I tested out way better knives with way better steels for this price range. Just my opinion.
I agree that for $40 there's better options on the web but if you're not a knife nut and just browsing through Walmart, I think it's a great buy. Nobody is using aus8 anymore but it is still better than 440a that the majority of Walmart knives are made of.
Sidenote: you sold me on the Eafengrow ef137 😂
@@LegionTacticoolCutlery can you recommend a fixed blade around this price that can take a beating as well as this one does for 40 dollars? If you haven't yet, check out the abuse Peterbuilt knife guy put this through. For the toughness factor alone, it's an outstanding knife regardless of the steel. I'm sure there are better bushcraft knives out there and better slicers with better steel. But holy smokes the Swiss tech is a freakin a tank.
I wonder how easy it'd be to make a new set of wood scales for it.
Easy as my wife bakes cake
Anyone know how to take the belt clip off this thing?
Got a response to something I was supposed to say about Swiss tech being crap. Not from me I've bought three getting ready-to-wear buy one for all 3 boys. So no that was not my comment I am quite impressed and happy. Sorry for any confusion
Looks like it passed the Reaper test with flying colors. Good to see you again, hope all is well.
Lol it sure did brother thank you. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Good demo brother. I wounder if Tennis Racket Grip Tape would reduce the vibration your experiencing in the scales, something to try. The red insert at the pommel throws me off, humm. Micarta scales, that's sweet. Merry Christmas my friend.
I thunk it would help for sure. Yeah it definitely ain't full tang in my opinion because of that red aluminum spacer. You have a merry Christmas as well brother.
You're the second reviewer that mentioned how much it hurts to baton with.
Definitely does but this knife is a beast. As long as you don't do it it will be all good lol.
Do i need another fixed blade???? Absolutely!!! Especially Aus 8 for $40. Fuck yeah!!!
Lmmfao! 👊💀
I find this knife quite satisfactory.
Awesome for the price, bomb proof I'd almost say.
Good to see you out, and about. Looks like it'll work, besides the shock. Have a good one 👊
Thank you brother an have a good week.
They just released another new bushcraft fixed blade in d2 called kraftig and it’s larger. Same price too.
@@The_RC_Guru Nice!
I've wondered about that knife seen it a few times. Good to see ya.
Thanks brother it's a little beast it seems
Well , It took the ass whoopin , gotta give it that HAHA !!!!!!!!! Great to see a video.. Have a Merry Christmas ......... PEACE !!!!!!!!!
Lol you the man brother.
For $40 it's a good blade. I've had one for a few months. There's things I dom't like about the sheath and how rhey have it set up and I really don't like the brick of a handle but it's pretty well indestructable for the average Joe. Swiss+Tech nailed it with this one.
For sure man.👊💀
I'm glad you're back to UA-cam-ing! I've heard the Swiss Techs are a good deal.
Thanks brother! Yeah man was surprised by this thing. $40 buck's plus tax man of course, not a bad deal at all. Shock is a mofo though lol.
Wow! I was wondering how good they were going to be. Very nice. I’m impressed
I was too brother. 👊💀
Pretty decent knife there brother for $40. The shock was evident as the handle could do with a more solid base but we can't have everything. The tip still handled a butt kicking so all and all, a solid knife.. 💪 👊
Hell yeah brother. 👊💀
Looks tough for the buck brother! The cold definitely doesn’t help with the shock on the hands when you’re using a square profile handle! Owch! Lol…. Best wishes bro 👍🏻👍🏻😎
No sir it doesn't brother, the shock shoots right through it. This is just for those normal knife job's lol. Tough ass blade though.
👍🏻👍🏻👌🏽😎
Good to see ya again my brother. Looks like a good knife. I've looked for the swiss tech knives in my area none can be found. Great review my brother!!!
Thanks brother you can get them on the internet I think.
It looks like it works well for the purpose, not the best for splitting but a cool little knife😃
Not bad for the price but definitely can get better in it's range for sure brother. Shock through that handle sucked lmao ouch.
Yea, bet it did.
Have to say that was pretty impressive! I could feel that shock all the way over here lol. Ferro rod seemed to work pretty darn good! Great video
Lol appreciate that brother. Yeah this handle would need some tape on it if bare handed lol.
Hell yeah! Reaper's back at it! I missed your videos man! Not sure why that company calls themselves Swisstech though when they make their stuff in china. The shock is a clear indicator that the handle is not actual micarta. I have never felt shock from micarta. Then again, it is made in china so I doubt any of the materials are what it says on the box but the steel did perform like AUS8 so I'll give this one a bit of slack
Lol the guy apparently just likes the Sweden ordeal. Because he is from Ohio lol nothing wrong with that I guess. I think it is because the scales are so damn thin. Feels like real micarta but nowadays it's probably hard to tell lol. Can't believe it passed a tip test lol.
Awesome demonstration video! Thank you
Thank you an Thanks for taking the time.
Excellent instruction, very nice capable knife 💯👍🔥🗡👍
Thanks brother.
Good to see you back on the reviews bro 💀☠👊👍
Thanks brother! 👊💀
Good review thanks for sharing YAH bless !
Thanks brother.
Good to see you Brother! Hope you well
Thanks brother I appreciate that. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
sweet video brother thanks for sharing ill see you in the next one
Thanks brother! 👊💀
Not sure i dig the handle, but it took it..🤜🤛
Handle sucks with that shock lol. Thanks for taking the time brother.
I don't have any Swisstech knives but i do have a few blades that are actually made in Switzerland and i quite like them. Since my wife is from Switzerland I picked up a few when there on visits. Thx for the review brother! Best wishes
This company is just a American company using a name. But seems to be not bad. Yeah I have a few knives from over that way an love the fk out them lol.
Doesn’t look too beefy but definitely stood up to the test
Good One Reaper 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️🔥🙏🏻🤟🏻
Why thank you young lady.
👊💀
It's a $40 knife that behaves like a $100 knife.
@@user-fm4fm4vz7z true an I have a twelve dollar knife that will do the same as well.
@@REAPERMILITIAOUTDOORS What knife would that be??
It's good to see you again my Brother 💯🇺🇸.. I really like the looks of that knife. From your testing,it seems to be well made. Wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas my friend 💯🎄
It's real tough for 40 buck's brother. To you an yours as well brother, have a merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas brother.
you beat er every way but loose Reaper
Appreciate that Ole Duke.
Awesome video thanks for your time and knowledge today
Thank you Mr. Russell. Thank you for your time.
Wow, that thing took a first class beating.
Looks like 40$ well spent.
Happy Holidays.👍🔪
Have a merry Christmas brother
Nice
Thanks bro. 👊💀
My pleasure @@REAPERMILITIAOUTDOORS
Hell yeah! I want one now! Glad to see a video! 👊
Thanks my brother. 👊💀
It looks like for the price its hard to beat
It definitely is brother. Definitely a knife company that other knife companies might want to watch out for lol.
If ya want to go out in the woods and split wood be prepared & bring a hatchet! This knife is not made to baton! It's a knife not a damn axe!! Ridiculous!
Little sissy man it's okay it's just a review of how tough this knife is. Such women today to whine about absolutely nothing. Get a life man I have many axes. It is sad when my own comments on my own channel get blocked by you woke scum. Get a job keyboard warrior.
What a loser you are do you even know the meaning of the word review this was the purpose of it jackass he is doing this so you can judge for yourself and take the sacrifice if it breaks or whatever what the hell is wrong with people like you go back home to mommas tit 😂
Lol 👊🤣
