Thanks George for sharing your hike from yesterday. Cannon River is a beautiful area to see; love those rivers. May the Good Lord bless you with more days and ways to enjoy your second life.
Happy Birthday George. Hope you have an awesome kind of day. Best time of the year to go hiking. No bugs, no leaves on the trees (so you can see further into the woods), you won't get to hot..... Nice video George, thanks for sharing it. JT
Outdoors and brunch? (All that is more than breakfast 😆 ) You gave yourself the best birthday George! Anyway Happy Birthday 🎂 Wish you to live long and prosper... And lots of knives, axes, hatchets, gear, etc.
Happy birthday!! Great day to test some tools. I really like those gloves. Gonna have to get a pair. Also gonna have to make a cowboy breakfast. That looks fantastic
What a great meal. I do the same myself. Keep up the videos. The tools were okay yet nothing special, the hatchet better than the machete. Thanks for another enjoyable video.
Thanks for taking us along George great area wish I had a place like that near me, everywhere near me is private property, plenty hot where I am and this is summer so seeing the chilly winter day is refreshing
Thank you for sharing your birthday breakfast and happy belated birthday. To be honest I was more interested in the gloves/mittens you wore. I’ve been looking for that type of gloves for a while.
Happy Birthday George! I like the hatchet better than the Machete too, but the machete is not bad at all! Several of my machete’s have saw backs. I figure they are good for notching and not much else. Beautiful scenery there, looked like a good time outdoors!
Happy Birthday! George. I like to spend my birthday in the woods also, when I get the chance. Thanks for the video, I like that Swiss Tech hatchet. I've been looking for one that's more compact for camping and light chopping duties. 👍
Happy Birthday. Two worst days of my life happened on 22 and 23rd thirteen years ago. Im always glad when the 24th gets here. But you have a good birthday and all around great day
This is the first video of yours I have seen and I enjoyed it. Living in East Tennessee I often have to put down a base to build a fire on, too. Not because of snow. We do get some snow but usually only once or twice in a Winter, not like where you are. Here it is because, as the Tennessee Valley is considered to be a temperate rain forest, the ground is often wet and as the water starts evaporating out of the ground that humidity will often put the fire out unless the fire is built on a base. The hatchet is nice. I like tomahawks and that is what the head reminds me of. I like the digging tool, as well. I don't really have a need for it - I have a couple of tomahawks I enjoy and often prefer a heavy chopper style, large knife to an axe or hatchet, anyway. Still, that digging tool side... Just yesterday I saw a review of the Swiss Tech sheath knife that is being sold at Walmart. The reviewer intended for it to be a 'until it breaks/destruction' test and stated at the outset that he was going to break the knife. He did try without doing anything too outlandish but at the end of the video the knife had some very minor damage to one of the handle scales. Otherwise it was more or less just dirty. I think the knife runs about $40 at Walmart. I've got lots of knives and had looked at that one in the Walmart knife case and passed it up. Having seen that failed destruction test, however, I might have to give it a shot.
Thier stuff is well made. 👌 I have not looked at the fixed blade, maybe I should. I don't really like destruction tests video. Not very realistic. I only test to what I plan the use for. Glad you like the video. Much appreciated. Be safe out there
Looked like Cracker Barrel in the forest. Cool tools. 2 things I had hoped to see in the video. Bigfoot tracks in the snow and you throwing the hatchet into a tree like Geronimo.
Happy Birthday George. Good video, I like that you are field testing the products. The machete would be more of danger to me than to the wood. The hatchet is more my cup of tea and I can see me using it. Breakfast looked good. Take care.
Happy B'day George! You don't look a day older than you did yesterday. The machete's saw blade is probably an afterthought. It sure won't make you retire your Bahco. Maybe it could be used to cut snowblocks to build an igloo, but I doubt you need that, even in Minnesota.
I would but Dr's orders fir my heart issues. The bacon was a treat I have maybe once in 3 months...lol. stay safe out there boet. Appreciate the support.
Revisiting this video. The hatchet caught my interest hmmm, it might make a good truck tool. I noticed something , you know how to use a machete. Lolol. Maybe something from your past. Lolol well done George !
Nice video testing your new tools. I recently saw on The Knife Doctor channel that he had a fork and spoon set from Opinel. They slide onto the end of the handle and lock in place. Might be something cool for you to check out
I’d like to see a torcher test but I’m becoming a fan of Swiss tech. I will say the 6500 flash light even though it’s awesome the lens has fallen into the base and floats around. I just bought it too. It might have been a return that got put back on the shelf. I’ll be taking it back to Walmart tomorrow and hopefully get a good one. It awesome a company is actually selling a rechargeable flashlight that also comes with the option to use regular batteries. It’s how all flashlights should be if you ask me. It seems to me that this is becoming a standard only having rechargeable flashlights. We need the option of having both just in case.
u are becoming a swisstech junky lol 😆 its good budget stuff but the steel is a little questionable in my opinion and u know what options are like right haha
Happy belated birthday. The best day ever spent outdoors. That's my favorite place. I'm enjoying your videos.
Lol..great place to hang out and just enjoy the day. Thanks for watching and the BDay wishes. You be safe out there
