- Today's Homeworthy episode features the beautiful Connecticut home of renowned interior designer, Bunny Williams. Bunny graciously invites us to tour her 1860's Falls Village home and discover her converted barn that was originally a garage, but is now filled with many of her and her husband John Rosselli's extraordinary antiques.
We'll also see inside her serene studio that was once an an A-frame home that she gut renovated into a modern retreat.
You'll see some of her gorgeous grounds including a sunken garden, a parterre that is just off her conservatory that she fills with plants, plus a large vegetable garden with flowers and herbs.
One of our favorite parts of her property is the pool and her pool house modeled after a Greek temple but made of tree trunks.
This property is truly a special place and we're delighted to bring you this Homeworthy episode today.

OH my... this was incredible. I am 71 and have so many things I love and display You made me feel its OK. I know my son and grandchildren probably think its cluttered,.But I have vignettes on table tops and shelves, love art hanging on every wall. Lamps and books and little bronze animals make my rooms come alive. It makes me happy and content. I also have an oxblood red wall in the living room, and my kitchen is almost the same yellow as the room you matched to the napkin. It was a Ralph Loren color called Lobster Butter , years ago. I love that my surroundings are uniquely me. This just gave me more inspiration.

Homeworthy you have outdone yourself. Bunny Williams is my all time favorite designer. To see a full tour of her country home is a joy. I've seen this home in her book and short videos but never as studied as this. There is no designer past or present with the talent of making a home look beautiful yet lived in. Her warm personality matches her design style.

I've long admired her client work in magazines & books. Her Manhattan townhouse is beautiful, btw. I enjoyed seeing her country house & hearing her discuss its evolution thru the years with all John & she put into it over time. I love everything about it - inside & out, the gardens, her out houses... & what she did with them each. She says you can't pick a favorite spot; you have to love them all. True, but "my" favorite spot at her place is anywhere her adorable dogs & gorgeous cat are! They are precious.🥰❤️ Godspeed, Bunny - may you live many years on with your family & pets in these stunning places.

The mistake made, seemingly everywhere currently, is to have your home 'done'. The result looks like a commercial advertisement attempting a replication of what style, patience, evolution of space, years of collections and an understanding of the overall ethereal context of the home and the collaboration between it's inhabitants and it's place in time and space.
I love her saying a home evolves. That is so true. I love tinkering and evolving.
She is exceptionally well spoken, easy to follow, and gives sensible advice. I love her style!

One of the fortunate things she’s blessed with is a supportive husband/ partner who allows her free reign in decorating. Not everyone is lucky enough to live with someone who supports the same kind of taste and passion for collecting.
A reminder for women. You do not NEED a man! Live your life for you!
You gotta hold your ground and persuade the hubby! They don’t know they’ll like it better till they live in it for a while. My husband puts up a fight with nearly every change, choice, or purchase. But he loves our house!
Her husband is an antique collector so they chose each other for a reason.
It helps that Bunny’s husband is renowned NYC Antiques dealer John Rosselli. I think having a husband with impeccable taste and the financial means to share in acquiring beautiful properties and design elements does enhance your ability to live a beautiful bountiful life.

I love that Bunny Williams fills their house with things she and her husband love. She designed her living space to accommodate her and her husband's love for entertainment combined with her aesthetics to have a place feel like a home. Her house is designed to handle life truly.
I love her philosophy, and generous spirit. The house speaks for itself, and is beautiful, but the gardens are out of this world. She's a good woman for giving a home to animals in need as well🤗

wow, this was such a treat. Her style is much more traditional than mine but I've still watched probably every other Bunny tour on YT and the 40+ minutes of this one allowed for a lot more depth. Gorgeous interiors but also so many gems dropped regarding decorating that are useful no matter the budget. It's valuable to hear someone of her stature in the design world say she bought this home and couldn't afford to decorate it until years after, and that it's been literal decades of careful acquisition since. Also love the attentiveness to pet-friendly spaces! Thanks, Alison, this is one of my favorites.

I enjoy the way she refers to her husband’s entire name whenever she mentions him. It reminds me how the late Dixie Carter always referred to her husband as “Mr. Hal Holbrook”. It’s definitely a sign of respect and love.

There is no one like Bunny Williams. She has been gifted with an amazing “eye” that is reflected in her design elements. Practical, thoughtful and always elegant, I have learned so much from her and always suggest to friends that they go on UA-cam, search Bunny Williams and receive priceless decorating tutorials. Just did that yesterday as a matter of fact. I will be in the office on Monday and tell the same co-worker to watch this latest tutorial! Thanks, Alison and always a big thank you to Bunny! This is one of the most amazing interviews and house tours I’ve seen on UA-cam. It’s probably not surprising that I feel like that as Bunny Williams is my favorite designer of all time. She seems so down-to-earth, and best of all, she loves animals, especially dogs!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I have been a fan of Bunny Williams and her style longer than I can remember. I have watched every tour of her homes on YT. This tour is my absolute favorite. As I look around my own home I see how I was inspired by her designs.
I really enjoy hearing Bunny Williams take on room layouts and room proportions! It is so encouraging, hearing her explain her method, of analysing the awkward-nesses and shortcomings of a room's proportions and window-door placement, and then working to overcome that and have a graceful, harmonious, comfortable room in spite of it all. We all hear people bandying around the phrase "Work with what you've got", but Bunny WIlliams explains HOW to work with what you have got. She is just the best!
I have her book, An Affair With A House, given to me by the former owner of my home. I enjoyed this program so much. Brought her book that I love and look at often, to life. Thank you!

I live in New Zealand and just had a visit back home in Canada - where I found one of Bunny’s books about gardens. I wasn’t planning on buying a large, heavy coffee table book that I had to squeeze into my suitcase! But I could not leave without it!

I am loving her creative and practical spirit... the feel of her house is like mine with antique odds & ends, books, art all around! Nothing cookie cutter. When she said it's the hunt we love, I could so relate - Yay for junking! Her begonias reminded me of my gram...she always had them in her home. The pool house temple with log columns...sigh!
I absolutely loved this tour! Bunny’s extraordinary eye for detail is unmatched. I’ve lived in my home 32 years and it’s evolved, as Bunny states. It’s forever changing and I tell my clients, that’s okay. I also like that she’s traded up items, like the secretary desk. Always a pleasure to watch a Bunny tour.

This is probably the most interesting home I have seen in a very long time. The property is absolutely beautiful and her manner of addressing each space is unique, logical and beautiful. The property is a perfect reflection of the owner/designer, unique, elegant, and inviting.
You are by far my favorite designer. You take the small things and make them important.. and bring out the best in items and people. You are a woman of importance yet I feel we could be best of friends.. many happy days ahead..

I’ve loved Bunny Williams and her esthetic for more than 30 years. My ex-husband and I stayed in the Falls Village Inn just so I could walk past this house and catch a glimpse of it from the road. I have all of Bunny’s books and have heard her lecture. Her sense of style and correctness in planning a home is impeccable.
I’ve modeled my homes along her philosophy of acquiring gems along one’s travels with meaning and intent. Everything has a story and a memory attached to it.
Thank you so much for letting us have a peak and a short snuggle with Annabelle. Indeed, one feels instantly at home here, it is its own whole Universe but not owerpowering. Beautiful, admirable, welcoming - a paradise!

This visit is overwhelming for me. As much as i love over the top maximalism, this is making me dizzy with the accumulation of amazing antiques and beautiful objects. I couldn’t keep track of how many fantastic paintings, chairs, furniture those house, barn and studio contain. But don’t get me wrong, Bunny is blessed with an inimitable taste and gift for the beautiful. I feel better now with my maximalist home interior. Hum, Still have room left to fill perhaps 🤔 !
I'm not a minimalist so your interiors made me happy. It does look lived in, collected over time and most of all it doesn't look too glamorous that you're afraid to touch things, sit on things, or walk on things.

It was such a joy to listen to Bunny. When she said you shouldn't love one child more than another, or one dog more than another you just know. I feel the same way. She is fascinating. I love her way of comfort decorating. I don't have collections, I collect the things that make me happy, lol. I understand why she loves her conservatory. Beautiful living breathing things and sunshine. And those windows... Kindred spirits.
