- Day 3: Morning Hunt
The elk hunting action is pretty slow and several teams are moving camps, but Team ANGRY SPIKE finds a herd of Roosevelt elk and has slipped in to just 12 yards from a fired-up herd bull.
Team WILDERNESS RIDGE is back at daylight looking for the bull Beau shot just before dark the night before. The action must not be too slow, as 2 hunters notch their tags today...

My hats of off to team (Wilderness Ridge). Beau you punched your tag when you could not find the bull elk and did not know if you harvested or not. That is what hunting is all about - a true sportsman and hero to all of us to follow. What an example to set for his kids when they watch this in years to come. I admire him for doing the right thing (priceless). Thanks to all the teams and the new format.

I'm a game warden in Alberta and I tend to deal a few individuals that don't like to follow the laws or have any empathy for the wildlife they harvest.
I like it when you and randy film the " Thank you" portion to the animal after you harvest it.

I could never shoot over that tall foliage being a bit over 5ft so I usually end up calling for my brother or over a wallow.

This new format is straight from the series Alone on The History channel with the use of names, music fade in/out between teams, tag countdown, etc. Not knocking it, but it’s not unique. I’m enjoying this season so far tho!
I liked the other version where you felt like you were on the hunt. This feels like NFL red zone. Not bad but I like other format better
It's great to see the different strategies and the differing terrain the teams choose. As hard as it is Beau, I would do the same thing. As much as I love watching Corey and Donnie call them in, I am really liking the format. Great perspectives from a variety of different hunters. Love it!

Beau and I had the exact same experience this season, brisket shot and a notched, unfilled tag. Heartbreaking, but such a respectful decision.

Congratulations on the bulls. I give Beau A LOT of respect for notching his tag. Not all hunters burn their tags in situations like that. I do greatly enjoy the new format. It is great to see the differences in hunting styles with the different terrain features between all groups. I do miss the daily dad jokes though. Thank you for taking the time to always provide us with some awesome content! I enjoy seeing the highs and lows of the hunt.

I like the format with multiple hunters and DESTINATIONS, but I truly miss the recap at the end with you and Donnie with John behind the camera 🎥 cracking up at the Dad jokes. I like the strategy for success stuff as well.

Unfortunately I guess I am spoiled from the previous years episodes. I really loved the every evening episode, I know it was drawn out more and still lots of episodes without actual harvest but that’s the real life. Myself I would like to have more of Beau’s film but I am probably the minority and most may want quick and to the point. Just remember, we all learn a lot from your format. Don’t fix something that’s not broke. Anyway thank you for this series, we all look forward to it each year. Beau……..Top Class in my book.

Beau is such a humble, honest man of integrity, anything with him is richer for his presence. B Villegas made a great comment about having kids watch and then you can talk about Beau's decisions and what they mean. Really love all the amazing hunting we get to see in this format, strategies, and terrains. I do really miss the "Cory and Donnie" sit down after the episode. Maybe something after the series?

Feel it for Beau, got to be one the worst feelings,.. but I’ve done similar as well,.. really enjoy this format,.. I loved the first few seasons. Watching the original group though all the trips, ups and downs is really cool. However this way get to see more personalities and techniques. Can’t wait to see the next one! Awesome as always!

I love the format. Gets to the point and still shows the challenges of the hunt. I really appreciate it. I don’t have time to just sit and watch elk hunt videos all day. This solves the desire to watch without spending all day doing so

Format is growing on me as the episodes come in.One word says all you need to know about Beau,class! Have high hopes of success for some teams more than others but that’s why it’s called hunting and everyone’s luck could change in an instant.
Real sign of Beau's character right there what a stud. I'm enjoying the new format, I enjoy watching Donnie and Cory but over the years I've developed a liking to the Skousin brothers as well. Also enjoying seeing different approaches and also what they all do that is the same to find success.
I like the new format. It allows me to follow the different teams throughout the season rather than a couple episodes for each one. Kudos to Wilderness Ridge for cutting his tag even though he didn't find the elk! That's a tough call but it's pretty awesome of him.

Congrats to the Skousens...and glad to see the change in tactics by drawing the bull into them. I am torn with the new format; I like seeing the variety of terrain and obstacles/challenges to overcome but I really miss the discussion (what worked, what didn't, mistakes made, what should we have done differently). The talks after the filming were so rich with advice and tactics over the last few years and we have learned so much there. We also need some Donnie jokes. Thanks to all for all you do to enrich our elk dreams.

It's always exciting to watch you guys 'communicate' with the elk, bugling, cow calling, racking trees, and even kicking stumps. It's good to see what can happen with the right knowledge and experience.

I like the fact that we get different strategies from different hunting groups. I also like the realism of this series, the capture of a broad spectrum of emotions both good and bad. I respect the punched tag even though the bull was never found.
I feel bad for Beau but totally understand and respect his decision, what a hunter and sportsman! Love the format for sure, at first I was skeptical but knowing what quality guys are involved erased it. Congrats on a great bull, what a sweet victory.

This format really let's you see different techniques used in different terrain in a variety of circumstances. Not only entertaining but very educational, also!
I feel for Beau on that bull, it looked like a good shot and I hope the elk made it through, they are very tough and seen and killed a few whitetails with old hunting wounds one even had a broad head in him that was scared over. Yes, this format is great.

I love the new format of the show. I like the way it progresses through the ups and downs of each group. My only wish is that it would be released more than twice a week.

It’s a bummer for Baty… But congrats to team skoussen!!! 15 yards, insane. Perfect call strategy getting the bull to turn at the right time and right spot. Highlight for me was the exchange happening with angry spike. That back and forth was purely awesome!
I really like this new format. It really gives a good sense of realism to each hunt. New tactics and different challenges. Plus the public land blues added in is a great example of a challenge outside of your control. Public land can be great, but it’s hard to hunt a lot of the time.

You took bow madness from the Drury’s and turned it in to an elk series with your own twist. It’s great! It also reminds me of BRO season 1 and 2 where they would show each day in September and it felt like you were part of trip. They went away from it and I kind stop watching them. Please keep this format. Love seeing each day and what they are doing from camp life to finding elk. Best elk series I’ve seen this year! As a RMEF volunteer for almost 10 years it’s nice RMEF support your videos and podcast. Keep up the great work!
