i think even 50 years from now, andy griffin show will still be out there playing from generation to generation , same as little house on praier, shows ya can sit down and watch with your family
And by then, his show had been carried by WNBC Channel 4 in New York for nearly nine years. (No doubt this edition aired there on March 31st.) I was once on an NBC studio tour where among the studios we were led through was 8G near the end of his run there. The studio cameras by then were TK-47's. By the time of this show, he was knocked off his perch at both his prior base of Chicago (by Oprah) and his newer base of NYC (by Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford).
Rest in PEACE Gentleman, and thank you for all the great memories..

Andy Mayberry will be around forever.

I can't believe that Phil has passed!😢
What’s sad is that everyone on stage and is dead and probably at least half the audience. RIP Donahue.
Rest in peace to all!

I bet back in 1986 my mom made me turn the NES off so she could watch this.
Nostalgia.
Love ❤️ Andy and Don
There are four cities in America named Mayberry: in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska.
RIP Phil Donahue
I trk through the area, and a couple of those towns are there.

This originated from 30 Rock, Studio 8G, where Late Night with Seth Meyers is now produced.

Don's nervous guy character was Mr. Morrison.
5:15 - That was the nicest thing someone could have said to Andy.
He was blushing really hard. I would too.
3:10 thought she said "I grew up with Opie and Anthony" even though that wouldn't be a thing for another 8 years at the earliest.
There’s a subdivision north of Seattle called Mayberry.
Funny the lady didn't think the Huxtables were wholesome for the 80s.
They weren't.
@@patmelton43 Why weren't they wholesome, I'm confused?
I think you misinterpreted what she said. Back then, "Cosby" was great, and she was comparing *TAGS* with *COS* .
Mayberry is .. gooooood television.. (donahue is sooooo hard to watch).....

Liberace didn’t have many friends but he had Naybors coming out his butt. 😂😂😂😂 RIP Jim
That show was so poorly edited by the Donahue crew.
