I see from the end credits (plus a little digging I did myself), that this was a rerun from 1991 (presumably September/October 1991), as newspaper articles from the time state that Gregory went to jail for 18 months in October 1991 for failure to pay. He and Susan stayed married for 34 years before he died in November 2021.

When the young man said at 10.20 that he wants his dad in jail and all the women in the audience clapped, it probably created an army of misogynistic serial killers.
My son's father still owes over $80,000. There were 6 court orders in 4 states - not worth the paper they were written on, apparently. He died when my son was 21. We never got a dime.
According to the article in the Deseret News, he had agreed to pay $66,000 to stay out of jail, but the judge sentenced him to 18 months anyway. I wonder if anyone knows if he ever paid anything ever.
@michelemiletich7540 Exactly! Employer: "You owe lots of money for child support. You're fired." That employer just cost the children getting ANY money at that point. What kind of stupid people did he work for?

I don't care I can't, I couldn't, dead beat dads I hear a lot of I,I,I.what about those kids in end it's the kids. I don't care if you never see your children if you make them on at for them. I can't believe this wife of his defending him. If I found out or knew he did that to his children I wouldn't have anything to to do with him. I don't care. I couldn't see my kids. Then you go to court to enforce visitation.
The husbands are always treated unfairly by courts and made out to be criminals like this video. That's why they get frustrated and stop child support. If the courts were fair about it, they'd make BOTH parents give child support.
This makes me want to watch the Adventures of young Indiana Jones again...I had such a crush on the actor when I was little. He played Boondock saints too.
Glad that it's easier these days to get a hold of dead beats through the internet etc. My dad was a dead beat and life was beyond tough while he started a new family with someone else. My mom got sick and we were on welfare. By the time I was able to contact and find him, he had already died and his side of the family totally denied my existence. They were all in on it. My cousin tried to find me and was told not to. Shame on the people who don't hold these men accountable for whatever reasons of greed etc. You're just as guilty.
RIP Phil Donahue, thanks for the memories. He lives on through UA-cam.
Man, what an amazing guy Phil was! He taught me so much, from this show, to "The Human Animal" special! Thanx Phil! RIP....🤘
I miss Donahue. His shows were great!
Miss the olden days of Donahue.
He was the Best!! RIP Mr Donahue.🙏🙏🙏

@UCJ7gVJxnHTOUm91Ljsqi1bQ yes. The new wife, sorry for not clarifying earlier.
@@beebsbubbles I hope he was able to have a better relationship with his three oldest children after appearing on Donahue!
where did you find this info?
@@Yobbie72 Just googled his name, and found a number of articles that talk about the case, as well as an obit.
Thanks for the update! Very interesting!
Donahue was the brst daytime talk show ever.
and it was the first one of this type
Thanks so much for all these videos! I've been binge watching. 😁
When I was applying for my US passport, I read that one can be denied a passport if they owe more than $2,500 in unpaid child support payments.

"err Yeah I do" with that grin on his face - Priceless haha
I am very curious as to what they are doing today, the kids,Gregory, this third wife etc.
The guy is totally shameless.
Where ever the mom and kids are today, I wish them only the best in life. It’s gut wrenching to see men/fathers do this to their kids.
I miss Phil Donahue, I watched him on television through the 1980s.
RIP Donahue
What a show!!!
Phil was the master.

Where are the children now??
I missed the show with Rush Limbaugh recently.
Donahue was classy!

And before you are married.
she's really young looking for having kids that age

Women have a higher default rate of child support than men.
