      @@abstractspaces8186 I dont believe that an R7 is more comfortable to be honest.Seems to have all the negatives with none of the pros (power).Imo engine is fine for a mid weight road bike but not a sports bike.

    • @ThaBootyBandit
      @ThaBootyBandit 3 місяці тому

      The R7 is easier to ride fast, Less electronics, low end torque. Lighter, cheaper, more comfortable and better for the road. aka better for newer riders or people who want to develop their skills. The cbr600 is not that. The r7 is not in the same market as the cbr600 and zx6r. Its pretty obvious.

    The reality is Honda are just mischievous! Fantastic video again, thank you! I have been riding since the 1990s and pretty much ridden most types of bikes but for me the CBR 600 has been the only bike that’s really matched my biking ability, be it on the track, on the road or out on the Ring, it enables me to use the limited biking skills I have to eek the most performance I can squeeze out of these gorgeous 600s. I’m never left disappointed but always left hungry for more after each ride. Cannot wait to pick up the new CBR600 because the few days in a year that I get when I feel good and the weather is great it’ll be waiting for me and that’s just an amazing, fortunate, experience to anticipate.

    Ahhh, the CBR600! When I was instructing (for gov bike licence), I had a fellow instructor, we'll call him Steve G, who rode one. Well, several, he kept crashing them 😂😂. Now, bearing in mind this was early 90's, after the last time he crashed (into a Ford Transit landing inside!), his insurance went up to £3,500 third party only with a £3,500 excess. On a bike that cost about £6,800.

The "new" Bloor-era Hinckley Bonneville has been produced from 2001 to the present day, so 23 years. I know Chris will be aware of this from his work with Triumph, but it's pretty cool that the new Bonneville will soon have been around longer in its current form than in the first, and shows no sign of being removed from the model lineup. Should we still think of it as a fad?

    As for sports bikes and distance - I did Melbourne to Sydney on a 04 1KRR in a day, Petrol stops were very good for an extensive stretch session 🤣
    Don't get the need for electronics engine fueling aside but as mentioned, it can be turned off and ABS can be worked on if you really want. 120hp is a good amount of power with modern tyres to not need much help but I do think the bike is a bit portly. Loose 20kg and have fun.
    Tracks in Northern Europe sound like your tracks, tight and quite tiring on a liter bike. Then there is the cost in purchase, insurance and tyres. Maybe the screaming 600 is a good idea after all.

    I love 600cc supersport. I have an R6, and also a huge fan of the cbr600rr. These bikes faded a little in popularity because IMO nakeds were initially more ergonomic and easier for entry level. But I think supersport is making a comeback. Because once you ride a 600cc screamer, or liter bike SS, you realize "that's the real thing". I still tool around on my naked bike, but I ride my R6 the most. LONG LIVE SUPERSPORT!!!

    Take a crack on the current gen GSXR750 my man! Truly the last analog sport bike on the road. Brembos, BPF adjustable suspension, electric steering dampner, lighter than an R6, CBR and ZX6 and packing a gnarly punch! No TC/ABS get that junk out of here.

    It depends. Sports bikes are great when your country has excellent road quality or access to race tracks. In India, our roads are not as great however, it is a treat for offroad enthusiasts. So a adventure bike or a dirt style or scrambler bikes are the best choices.

    Love the smaller bikes on track. I end up battling 600s on my rsv1000rr twin and it is a great laugh. As you say - focus on corner speed and less on point and squirt.

      You should try to get a go on an NSR. They make the 600s feel like they were built by JCB
